Chapter 14 Aroused

As Sydney was still basking in her bath, she heard footsteps behind her. Using her knees to sheilded herself, she harshly rebuked. "Didn't I tell you guys to let me wash? Why are walking up on me?!"

It's ..it's me!" Shawn spoke after hearing the anger in her voice. "I was only bringing your clothes." he said and found his way to her bed and placed the brown skin dress on the bed. Hearing his nervous voice, Sydney but her lower lip and felt bad for flaring up at Shawn. He couldn't see her ..there was no need for hostility. "It's okay....I'm sorry for snapping at you. Thanks for the clothes!" she said but continued to hug herself more. She couldn't put out the fact that she was completely naked before a man. Shawn rushed out of the room silently to give her the comfort she desired.

She changed into the strapless dress that seemed like a perfect fit for her. It was tighter in her upper body hugging her curves and the lower part of the dress was free and comfortable...the only problem was that she had no under garments! For a person used to wearing a knicker and bra, she felt completely naked...what if she accidentally slipt and fell.... it'd be a spectacle!

"I need to stock on necessities!" she groaned and walked over to the curtained door. "I'm done washing." she said softly and Caden was the first to appear. He looked at her freshly washed skin and he couldn't help gulping his saliva. Sydney smelt so nice and she looked fresher now that she was washed..her eyes were glittering beautifully and a few of her hairs had gotten wet and were sticking to her slender white neck. Was a female's body always this alluring?!

Why are you looking at me like that?!" Sydney said as she touched her face in confusion. "Is something on my face?" she wondered to herself and looked at Ken who had the same look. "You...what are you doing here?" she asked with a frown breaking Ken from his daze.

"Looking after you." he said as a matter of fact and sauntered into the room, picked the basin she had showered in and walked out.

Sydney glared at the door way in utter speechlessness. "Don't mind him....ignore him and he'll go away on his own!" Shawn said confidently. He knew ken that much.

Fine. Let's ignore him. Now that I'm alive and kicking, I ought to go out for a walk" She said and went for the door but was blocked by two meat boulders standing firm. "What's wrong...get out of the way!" she said and pushed her way through but the men weren't relenting.

"You are sick!" Caden looked at her with solid resolve.

"Correction....WAS sick. Not anymore." Sydney said and tried to pry both men out of the way but they weren't budging an inch.

"Sydney....the doctor said you need to rest."

"But....." she begun but was cut off. "Stay in doors for two days and after that, we will let you out." Caden pleaded.

"And do what in those two day?" Sydney asked after affirming that she wouldn't be able to move these men if they decided not to. She was surprised at their strength.

"We can keep you company and you can try organising your thoughts well. You see, your reaction to females who are bought over from other tribes is different."

"How so?" Sydney wondered.

"You had to be crying about wanting to go home but you accepted everything so easily.... although it feels great on our side, it's also worrying." Caden said and carried Sydney off the ground. He walked with her in his arms to the he'd and sat with her on his lap. "You don't have to be strong ....we are here. Just cry..."

"What's crying going to change?" Sydney asked . It's not like she hadn't considered that fact! She had wanted to cry and throw a tantrum but she didn't wish to become a nuisance to these kind people. She had come to terms with everything to prevent herself from taking drastic measures that could only further worsen her situation.

"It can change alot. You won't feel suffocated if you do..." Shawn said and walked over to where the duo sat. Also ...you can lean on us and let it all out. If you are frightened, stressed out....don't mind us.... just let it all out." he asserted.

"You guys won't find it annoying?" Sydney asked in a chocked voice.

"We would like it when out female is herself around us. Whatever it is you are or what your personality is like, we will never find you annoying." Caden assured as he planted soft kisses on her hair. They wanted to be their female's place to solace..to them, that was the real acceptance. Hearing such words, Sydney who had decided to solidify her resolve felt it crambling. "I'm scared." was what she said before she broke down.

How could she not be. Experiencing being twirled around, horrored as tree shreds and other dangerous objects harzadously fly by her. She had accepted her fate of dying so brutally but when she realised that none of those dangerous objects would reach her like she was sheilded, she was sort of relieved but not for long as she was thrown into another maddening experience of fall from thousands of meters off ground without a single safety cushion or parachute.

Luckily, she mysteriously survived but at the expense of her sweet clothes. When she wanted to accept her fate, she went through another death experience with the golden snake. The thing was so big that it could swallow five hippos in a single gulp less alone her who would serve as an appetizer!

"That big snake!!!!" she cried out her resentment. She had no one to account for her initial near death experience but that wasn't the same for the snake. She had considered asking Caden and Shawn to go beat it death but she was sure it'd kill them and so she let that matter go!

Hearing her speak of the snake, Caden tilted his head to the side. That beastman was beyond ten ranks...he wasn't sure that snake would let such a beautiful female go like that but he had! "He's a snake beastman." Caden found himself saying despite not wanting to.

Sydney who was busy wailing stopped and lifted her face from the man's chest. "What?" she asked feeling her ears were playing games on her. A beastman? Him?! How? Wasn't he some big Amazonian snake who would swallow her in a single gulp?!! Shawn was confused about the whole conversation.

"Where I found you ...there was a snake beastman who had lay you on the tree branch and covered you " he said. He had thought Sydney didn't know anything about that but seems he was wrong.

"He...he didn't wa..wan... want to eat me?!" Sydney asked her face in disbelief but with tears of relief.

"His intentions are best known to himself." Caden said with a soft smile. Her small face was all red and her nose was running with water, her eyes were red and teary and big! So cute!

"Does that mean the snake tribe would have been the one to look after Sydney?" Shawn asked making Caden hiss at him in anger. His hold around Sydney became very tight as he burried her in himself that his slightly protruded nails cut through her skin. "Caden!!" her alarmed cry brought the eagle prince back to his senses but before he could express his shock for hurting her, Shawn had snatched Sydney from him and held her protectively with a growl. The scent of blood was in the room and he could tell that Caden had caused it due to his agitation regarding the snake tribe. "Don't hurt Sydney!" he growled.

The snake beastmen weren't particularly the good ones around, infact, the snake tribe had few beastmen residing in their territory because they hated being told what and what not to do. If Sydney had landed in their tribe, surely by now she'd be pregnant with a snake beastman's eggs. They were sure other tribes wouldn't get the chance to present males to Sydney on how possessive the snake beastmen were.

"Shawn...I can't breathe!" Sydney rasped helplessly. He immediately let her go and held her at arms length and used his very keen sense of smell to locate her wound and with that, he lapped at them to heal them with his saliva. As a wolf, they'd do this to their own to help with the healing. Sydney shivered when she felt a hot and snaky thing lap at her wounds. Her wounds which were mere scartches that had a stinging sensation begun to feel cool when Shawn lapped at her.

"It's our kind's instinct!" He explained himself. "I know." Sydney replied back but her voice was strained and her body kept quivering. The scent of her arousal wafted into the air leaving both men stiff.
