1 CHAPTER 1 Nag Nag Nag

An enormous stone wall elevated upto 20ft above ground surrounded a tropical rainforest stretching for thousands of miles with lush vegetation. The residents of the forest flourished harmoniously as the singing of birds could be heard all around, the winds of the spring gently blew along the vast grassland that was just outside a settlement made of stone walls. At the furthest of the land, on the top of a mountain stood a majestic 10 floor stone structure. Even from this far, that place gave off a very strong impression which was by far different from the other buildings at the foot and around the mountain.

Gigantic birds soared through the sky their gazes intently onto the settlement below them as if they were monitoring it.

Inside the forest.

My Lord....please reconsider this matter! It's for the sake of not only our tribe but also the whole city. I believe it'd be in your best interest to find a female.

And I think it'd be in your best interest to shut up!" The 6'5ft tall man with a majestic aura covered in markings allover his body growled lowly at his subordinate and continued to walk.

But as your advisor, it's my responsibility to show you the right path. If My lord's father and mother were here, I'm sure they'd side with me. It's been ten years since you became lord but all this time, you've been ignoring such an important matter!

"Do you know how stressed I get when the chiefs of other tribes come to me about this matter almost every week! My ears bleed from their loud shrieks but my lord still lets me fall into such torment!

Besides that...those chiefs have very beautiful daughters two of whom are soon coming of age and the other five have hardly two mates. But still, you refuse to even look their way and completely place the burden of this enormous place on me. Not only that, I get scornful gazes for my incompetence to convence you from all clansmen and I've been labelled with such bad names that I'm afraid I might forever end up just like you!

So as I was saying...you should try to meet with those females maybe you shall take a liking to one of them and continue this legacy. I'm not entirely as strong as you so I honestly can't risk stepping out of the city walls...but had that not been the case, instead of talking like this I'd have stepped out and gone off to search for my lord's father to help in this matter. Seriously....we even had to go ahead and carry six emythst stones to other tribes outside our walls to search for a female for you! And despite doing our utmost best, you refused to go see those females. Our precious emythst stones.....huhuhu....we are a indeed a pitiful bunch!!!"

The other male who was a stark contrast from the 6'5ft male nagged all the way not putting a stop to his rumbling but his lord just continued to ignore him all the way.

Is my lord ignoring me again?! It's already time to hunt but I have to follow you around, don't you consider my hards skills and hunt me a meal as a thank you...my lord."

"Won't you shut up?!" This time the 6'5ft man bellowed completely out of it.

"If you find a female....." his subordinate squeaked sinking his neck in but seemed resolute in this matter.

"If you are hungry go hunt. Stop nagging!"

"I'm fine with just wild fruits." Parrick grumbled in low spirits for being ignored.

"You should know that your ancestors died at my ancestors hands for being such talkative birds."

"I understand your frustration but I'm not dead yet!" = If you wanted me dead, I'd not be here! hehehe

Without a word, the lord continued success n his walk and his advisor trotted right after him talking till the sun set. The lord's ears were literally bleeding from all the nagging and his face was as black as the bottom of a stone pot as muscles at his head bulged as he held back from killing the beastman following him.

"Ahhh, the sun is so beautiful when it sets!"

"At least you have some taste, Parick." The lord said and also admired the sun as it set. His mother would travel all this way to watch this scenery and he who was crazily attached to her would follow her around like a tail to this place. But now that she wasn't here with him, he wouldn't miss out on a day without coming over. Sitting at the edge of the cliff, one could over look the rest of the beastmen land that was outside the walls. Out there was deadly and tribes that resided there barely hung on. It wasn't just mere legends he had overheard from the older beastmen but he had experienced the brutality out there first hand. What he didn't understand was why his mother and her other mates chose to venture out there....it must have been his mother's idea! Being wilful and all, her mates could only bend their will and do her bidding. He hoped to their ancestors to keep his mother safe and alive. That was all that matters to him.

A bird that was soaring in the sky spotted the duo and screeched as it dove from the sky to come their way. Spreading out its huge brown wings, it was an enormous hawk and when it was close to the ground, it suddenly transformed into a young spirited male with a tanned skin. Only his arm was covered in strange markings and his hair was a dirty brown and behind those unruly locks were sharp golden irises. "Your Highness!" the young man bowed and greeted feverently. He was part of the city army and a general of the sky who overlooked the safety of the city along with other capable flying beastmen.

"You may rise Harry. Why are you here anyway?!" The lord asked.

"I just returned from my patrols and saw you. I ought to offer my greetings." Harry said with eyes glimmering in admiration for his Highness. Turning to parrick, he gave him a nod acknowledging his presence then turned to His Highness.

"Mm...is there anything unusual out there?" the lord asked.

Everything is fi....." before Harry could get to finish what he was saying, a loud clap of thunder rang out in the sky drawing the men's attention there. As it wasn't the rain season, such hefty thunder wasn't expected.

A cluster of thick black clouds begun to form on the sky at a particular spot ticking the men's attention more. And as they continued to observe, it seemed like the sky was being forcefully ripped as a black hole of some sort formed in the centre of the gathered clouds. It was bizarre and soon the whole city was erupted in cries of distress.

Except that!" Harry completed and looked at his Highness. He wasn't surprised at all at the bizarre black hole on the sky.

"Care to explain?" The lord asked raising his brow.

"I ventured out a few days ago and saw something similar to this in the southern forest just close to the sea habitant of the fish people." He explained. "The same thing had happened and when I asked around, I was told that it had been there for a few days but nothing happened. The fish people witch said it was just a natural happening which was spoken of before by ancestors but this was the first time it was happening. He said that tribes that got to experience something like this were going to undergo certain trials but all for the better!" Harry explained the knowledge he had gathered to his lord sheepishly.

"Then I guess there's nothing to worry about. Parrick, go and inform the city chiefs to calm those beastmen. They are so loud even when I'm this far! It's annoying." he said and parrick transformed into a parrot that was huge and took flight to carry out the command of his master.
