1 Beautiful In White

I am staring at the door of the church in front of me as beads of tears slowly form into my eyes

My mother smiles at the sight and says,

"ohh dear stop crying your make up will ruin, though if I'm on your position I'll also be emotional...you're so lucky to have him...take care of your boyfriend...oops future husband nak..."

she says as she giggle. I just smile at her as the door slowly open and the wedding song starts to play.

But when we first met

I got so nervous

I couldn't speak

In that very moment

I've found the one and

My life had found its missing piece~

I stare at the man in front of me as he also stares back at me. I smile as a tear fell into my cheeks. Memories bring back rushing in my mind making me more emotional.

Flashback~~

I saw a little boy crying...I stared at him as I drink my favorite milk and noticed that he's wearing a ragged shirt and his face was also mixed with dirt and tears but that doesn't change the fact that he's handsome with his deep and tantalizing brown eyes.

He looked at me when he heard my steps and immediately remove his tears using his hands. "You! what are you doing here? I came here first so find another site to play" he said making his voice bigger, maybe to frighten me but it doesn't work..I just laughed at him

"What are you laughing at? Are you making fun-" *cough* *cough* *cough*

I stared at him with fuss as he gasped for air...he immediately grabbed my milk and drank it and when he's relived he sighed deeply

I looked at him with my widened eyes and burst out crying

He held my chin and cupped my face with worried eyes and asked me what's wrong

I stopped crying and looked at him seriously as I say the words that makes him widened his eyes and cover his mouth with his both hands

"Wh-what?!!! Marry you?!! Why?!!"

"Because I'm carrying our child... My classmates told me that when someone drink on the bottle that you've already drink you'll be pregnant"

I said as I burst out in cry again. I just stopped when I felt tiny arms slowly enveloping me

"Don't cry, don't worry cause I'm gonna face my responsibilities. I'll tell my grandma about our situation and I'll also start saving some money from my work"

"Y-you work?"

"Yes, I am getting bottles and selling them to earn money and I will also save some money from my allowance so that I can give you many milk for our baby to be strong"

We stared at each other as a smile slowly creep into our lips

My knees are trembling as I step forward. I can see in his brown eyes that he wants to erase these tears that seems like a flood in my face but he choose not to because it's not necessary. I remember the time he saw me cry because of him...

Flashback~~

"Y-you're leaving me? Why?" I said as I did my best to stop my stupid tears from falling

"Because I don't deserve you...you deserve someone better... someone who can give you a mansion, someone who can grant your dream wedding"...he said as his jaw clenched...he turned away to wipe the tears that is forming into his eyes..."and that someone can't be me...becau-"

"Do you wanna know what is my dream wedding?" I said as I solemnly smile

He stared at me with curiosity

"My dream wedding is to marry the man in my dreams...to marry you" I said as I let my tears fall into my face freely..."and my dreams will not be granted without you"

"Then are you willing to hold my hand until the end?" He said as he cupped my face...I nodded as I stared in his deep brown eyes

"But there's two things that you should do" he said avoiding my gaze as if he's shy

"First you have to promise me that you will never ever cry again....because your tears are my weakness every time I see that tears of yours I want to strangle the one who did that and now that it's because of me...I want to kill myself..so promise me that you won't cry... Because baby you don't know but your tears struck thousands of swords in my heart"

I nodded as I stared at him curiously seeking for the second thing that I should do.

"Second...you have to marry me"

My eyes widened as tears started to form again...

Baby why are you crying?! I thought we already had a deal about this!!! He said wiping my tears eagerly

"So answer now"...he stared at me seriously

"Will you, Angelie Satterle Morgan, the most beautiful woman that my eyes has ever laid on, marry this poor man in front of you who can give you nothing but a promise that from now to my very last breath and for as long i live I'll love and cherish every moments with you?"

"Yes!!! I will marry you,Lemuel Nathan Santiago who has a tantalizing deep brown eyes, a manly yet red and curvy lips, a proud and pointed nose and the future father of my child"

Instead of shouting the phrase "she said yes!", he looked at me suspiciously as his grin grew wider and point out the word that makes my cheeks flushed...you have a hidden desire in me!

And unlike the usual proposals who started with a date and ends with a kiss, ours has started with a break up and ends with a fist landed on my babe's eyes...yes I knock him out

Lemuel smiles solemnly when he hears the lyrics about the ring and remembers how he gave her the ring... the day that changed their fate

Flashback~~

He looked around to check if everything's ready. This was the day that he will formally ask her to marry him.

Everything's done simple but he make sure that she would reminisce their happy memories from the venue- where they first met, her favorite milk- which make their first indirect kiss happen and of course, the man of her dreams- that will grant her dream wedding.

He patiently waited and smiled when he heard his phone ring with the ringtone customized only for her girlfriend- it's him singing their theme song

"You're 2 minutes late already... I must give you a punishment later" he laughed teasingly

"I am a police officer, the owner of this phone had an accident... What is your relation to the victim?"

"W-where is she?!" He asked worriedly dismissing the asked question

"They're on the way to KaAyRaYaLa's hospit—"

He hanged up upon knowing where she is and rushed to the hospital. He saw her being carried to E.R. He held her hands tightly as he get a ring and put it in her finger.

"You'll still marry me so please...baby fight" he sobbed as he said the last sentence before she lose her consciousness. "Prove to me that you won't break your promises...I love you"

We were staring at the sunset, observing how the blue sky was mixed with orange, pink and violet.

"It's breathtaking" I said with admiration

"Indeed" he said then chuckles

I looked at him and looked back at the sunset, to hide my blushing face, when I realized that I am the one he's referring to

"I want our wedding theme color to be like this... Mixture of orange, pink and violet" he said then grinned when he caught me staring at him

He then cupped my face "-and you'll be the most beautiful bride that'll soon be my Mrs. Santiago"

"I want our guest to wear a pink rose color" I smiled at the thought

"-and the pathway will be filled with pink rose petals". He added as he move my hairs at the back of my ear "then our wedding song will be beautiful in white... Cause I'll be marrying the most beautiful woman wearing a white wedding gown" he said as he gets closer then kissed me gently like I'm a fragile glass that will break easily

I smile bitterly when I reach the front. He's just meters away from me...but I am not allowed to hug him nor hold him. We still can't reach each other and we'll never be able. I stares at the man I love who's wearing a white cassock- a gown worn by priest. Yes, our planned wedding happen except for one thing... The planned groom was changed

I see how he clenches his jaw as he looks away, tears starting to form in his deep brown eyes as he says those words that we both wished to hear from a priest, but now I know that it is impossible, he's supposed to be my man, my husband, but now he's the priest that will tie me to his best friend...

"I now pronounce you husband and w-wife", he stutters at the last word as he wrinkles his noes and looks above to stop his tears

He gasp for air and swallow hard before he says the words that is supposed to be a music in my ears...but now that it's from him—

"You may now kiss my-the bride"

I close my eyes to stop my tears from falling, "so this is the end" I say to myself as I wish for someone to oppose what I have just said... But no one did. I did my best to stop my tears from falling...but even in my close eyes, painful tears keep seeking for a way to go out...

Lemuel's POV

"I guess this is the end... no matter how we love and fight for each other, we are not destined to be together instead we are destined to love each other forever but not in each other's arms" he say to himself as his supposed to be best man kisses his supposed to be wife

"No matter how I force my best to reach you...seems like land is really destined to look at heaven from afar"

I smile bitterly while admiring her, "Just as I've thought..." I said to myself as I sing the last part of the song in my mind, "~you look so beautiful in white... tonight~"
