21 A bet?

Just as I was looking at all types of beastmen, be it bears, eagles, wolf, leopards, tigers, my vision got stuck at a prominent white figure and beleive it or not but the time just stopped for a while as I looked at that big massive white tiger who was leading the procession with a female figure on his back.

"Queen Kyra, this is a big event of our Beast city. I would like to invite you as the esteemed guest of the leopard clan." Suddenly the king asked in a humble manner.

"That would be an honour for us, my King and Queen." I replied in the most friendliest manner. I pulled back the hood of mine and Qingqing's cloak.

We followed the royal couple, Parker and Muir walked behind us while there were guards leading the way.

We reached near the stone platform, the queen left to join the other queens and surprisingly I was requested by the leopard King to get onto the stage along with him. Accepting his offer I stood beside him while Qingqing refused to follow queen as she held my cloak from behind like a child.

Seeing this scene, king asked her to join us on the stage too.

Suddenly the eyes of each and every beastmen were focused on us because that pedestal was an important place since only kings were allowed to stand there. A sudden whispering wave spread in the crowd ignoring the team that was parading in the city.

The tiger, wolf and ape kings were also looking at us and altogether they asked their confidants about us to which they replied that we're leopard King's exclusive guests. I controlled my laugh because the status of exclusive and important guests was given to us without even asking by the king.

I could feel the gazes with pressure directed toward me, firstly because of us being females secondly because of us wearing the snake skin cloak. I ignored those looks as I adjusted my hood to take a proper look at the big marching unit that completed their city's parade and arrived near the stage, while trying not to reveal my face.

Everyone's attention instantly got shifted to them and suddenly a wave of cheers and excited howls made the environment even livelier.

I saw that one by one three females climbed down from the beastmen's backs and in the end an orange haired girl climbed down from the big white tiger.

"This is such a happy news for our beast city that we were able to bring four females in the city! The salt exchange went well!" Suddenly the middle aged looking ape king spoke up. Why is this person the only one who looks old? Is is trying to take everyone's old-age?

I was busy thinking about ape kings weird look that completely met writer's description. Maybe he or she had some personal feud with him, who knows~

My mind came out of my distracted state when I heard a horrifying scared cry. I again adjusted my hood to look at the source when I saw the orange haired girl shaking in fear. What is this overdramatic bitch literally doing?

I looked opposite to her and saw that the massive big white tiger instantly changed into his human form and that sight got my jaw nearly dropping.

He had such beautiful fluffy silvery white hairs on a fair skin with eyes shining like diamonds, a scary yet masculine looking scar across his one eye while those cute tiger ears on his head!

His chiseled chest with those abs and below it...DAMN! Eric, finally got someone to compare to!

Just when I was observing the beauty of the naked sculpture in my front, I saw that he asked to the orange haired girl "Would you become my m-"

"Me! I want to become your mate!" I suddenly shouted while raising my one hand and with the other I was covering Bai's eyes, she shouldn't see her brother-in-law naked!

My sudden response got everyone surprised and their attention diverted to me, even of that orange haired bitch who was looking at me like as if I've interrupted her stage performance!

I let go of Bai's eyes as I made her to turn around while I pulled away Parker's hide leaving him stunned, freezed at his spot, naked.

I took instant long steps toward Winston and wrapped the hide around his waist myself. I can't let others to have this exotic free show any longer!

Winston was standing freezed up, without moving an inch while his gaze was fixed on me, afterall I could feel it!

After tying the skirt, I stepped back and took a relieving breath as I felt satisfied with my job so I again asked "Would you accept me as yours mate?" Humbly.

"Are...are you sure female?" Suddenly Winston asked in his feel husky voice, it was beautiful!

"Yes." I replied while trying to control my happiness.

"But...who are you?" He suddenly asked.

For a moment I seriously heard the sound of the shattering of glass because...why didn't he just said yes?

Suddenly I realised that it was because of my hood! so I instantly pulled me down to finally reveal my face to the crowd that suddenly went extremely silent.

"For now, I'm a guest and soon to be relative of the leopard clan. So, can you accept me as your mate?" I said with a smile.

My words instantly brought a blush on Winston's face who was having  drastic changes in his facial expressions, I saw surprise, doubt, happiness and indecisiveness.

"Are..are you not afraid of me female?" He asked hesitantly.

"Why? Are you going to harm me?" I asked him back just to see him respond with "Never!".

"Then, there isn't any reason for me to be afraid of." I replied while laughing.

"Then, you don't despise this mark on me" he again asked in a humble tone.

"Why? Isn't that a beautiful mark, why would anyone be afraid of it?" I asked acting surprised just to see Winston become a blushing mess.

I was happy seeing the response so I asked "can you ask me to be your mate just like earlier?" In a whispering tone.

Winston was definitely surprised but he nodded with a beautiful smile that was enough to melt my heart, he gently asked in a loud voice, in front of the whole Beast city "would you like to become my mate?"

I was so happy that I was about to jump into his arms with an 'I do!' but it suddenly got interrupted with a loud voice of a female, "No, he won't! He can't accept anyone else as his mate!"

I looked toward the source of the sound to find that it was a female from the queens' bench. She walked out of the shaded platform accompanied with a male who had three stripes on his face and two wolf ears on his head.

The moment that female came into the clear vision, I saw that she was a teen girl, unlike the queens who looked like mature ladies.

She had short light purple hair Bob with similar clear light purple eyes. She was wearing a crop top and an animal hide skirt, walking toward the platform with a furious pout.

My eyes instantly widened as I looked at her because, she was just so cute! She looked like a feisty Kitty specially with that cute pout!

I controlled my emotions because I didn't want to be seen harmful if I want to touch the kitty, so I asked in a harmless voice, "who are you beautiful female?"

My words instantly made her stop as she looked at me with widened eyes because it wasn't common for a female to compliment other female's beauty.

"You! You!... I'm Rosa! The tiger king's daughter!" She said in a loud voice because she was standing below the platform.

I smiled as I said, "so Rosa, what it is that made you interrupt, dear?" Okay, fine, I know I'm flirting but damn! You not always come across a cutie daily, right?

Rosa's face instantly flushed red, she angrily said "Winston is from our tiger clan! He cannot become your mate."

"So, you want him to become your mate?" I asked teasingly with my raised brows.

"No! I want him to become my guardian beast!" She instantly replied.

I turned and looked toward Winston to find him having a troubled reluctant expression. I looked toward Rosa and walked upto the edge of the stage as I jumped down directly landing in front of her.

"Is that all you want Rosa?" I said as I ran my hand through my hair with a smile. I looked at the girl who was much smaller than me in height. Even she was surprised as she had to look up at me to meet my eyes.

"No! That Parker! He have to become my mate! He took advantage of me during my coming of age ceremony! He was banished from the city but if he comes back then he have to become my mate!" She said with all her force in a loud voice as she was panting little in the end.

"You're lying! I never took any advantage! Qingqing don't believe her she is ly-" Parker instantly retorted as he tried to save his face in front of Bai who wasn't even paying him attention but I interrupted him as I said "Parker, stop."

Parker instantly stopped speaking as he looked toward me with doubts.

"Alright, anything else dear?" I asked Rosa with a grin on my face. Rosa looked at me with surprise and disbelief as she shook her head.

Looking at the finally calm kitty, I couldn't help but smile widely. I extended my hand to rub her fluffy head when the male standing behind her pulled her toward himself while looking at me with menace.

I smirked as I raised my brows "there is no need to be on guard, I want to talk to Rosa. A female to female talk, without the interruption or interference of any male" my words were directed toward the three striped wolf male behind her.

He looked toward me with the same menacing gaze but didn't say anything. Rosa was definitely intrigued as she instantly said while removing her mate's arms around her, "what is it you want to talk about?"

I smiled because I caught her attention, so I extended my hand in front of her as I said, "I wanted to give you something as a gift for our meeting, but the thing you liked happened to be the male I was interested in" till this time Rosa had already placed her hand in mine so I pulled her toward myself as I continued "but I really don't want to break your heart by refusing you, so" and with this my one hand on her waist, pulled the flushed Rosa even closer.

"So, I want to make a bet~" I said in a whispering tone because the distance between us wasn't that much.

"A bet?" Rosa replied with interest and temptation.

"Yes, a bet".
