2 Diverging Paths (2)

"Henri your too kind to me. You know the reason I went along with you all originally, was because you released me and promised me the scepter. Yes?" Karsha said.

The woman flipped her dark long curls to the side as a smirk appeared on her seductive face.

"I understand. Your going to uphold the agreement we made correct?" Henri asked making sure they had added extra pressure to their words.

Karsha twirled a piece of her black curls before replying.

"I don't go back on my word. It's a very bothersome thing when other people do it so I should take care not to as well. Don't you concur?"

"Yes as long as you don't break our promise I couldn't care less what your plans for the future are as long as they don't hinder me in my mine." Henri uttered softly.

"Very well I was only teasing you dear. I like to feel young every now and then..." Karsha said while holding out her hands to recieve her due.

The child handed over the coins and weapon, before slowly turning around and beginning to walk down the dingy path again.

"Goodbye Karsha, may we see each other again if fate permits it." Savien chirped before taking Marie's small pale hand and hastely pulling her along to trail behind Henri.

The ghoul and werewolfs speedy departure without an uttered farewell to a still nearby standing party did not sit well with that said "party".

The little vampires once pale face now flushed red with unbridled rage and embarrassment.

"Am I less important than a dirt path now?" Rosey steamed. Her ivory little face instantaneously turning a bright red in anger.

"Henri didn't even say goodbye to this little lady. That dumb mutt better be grateful it has such a nice master otherwise I would have taught it a lesson..." Rosey grumbled as her little pearly white fangs extended from her mouth for a few seconds before swiftly being retracted.

"Come along brat. We've got stuff to do." Karsha uttered as she began twirling the scepter in her hands a michovious grin alighting on her face.

"Where did our majestic ruby-colored lizard go off to now?" Karsha asked a little pout beginning to form on her face.

"If you don't come out now when I find you I'll be sure to give you some extra love since you'll have been missing this mistress so much!" Karsha shouted as she cupped her hands to her mouth in a halfhearted gesture.

Soon after those words had echoed across the clearing, nearby bushes started to tremble before a dejected looking Jebalth slowly made his way out of the bushes emerging from the surrounding forestry.

Jebalth sighed. From being a soldier of a once mighty country to becoming a creature that was known throughout the lands as the height of majestic beings. Jelbalth still could not stand up to womenfolk.

"Took you long enough." Rosey huffed indifferently, before taking a peek at Jebalth and after asserting he was well, she quickly moved her little beady gaze elsewhere.

Karsha surpressed a giggle upon seeing Rosey act so cute, before closing the distance between her and the dragon.

"We are leaving now, Jebalth my dear dragon, the fun has just begun!" Karsha guffawed.

Meanwhile the backs of the other figures had already disappeared from sight down that dingy forest path.
