12 Unknown Troubles

Seeing the Salamander run I decided to do the same. Although I know they won't attack me I didn't want to take any chances.

Going about my way still leveling up and eating what I needed while finally deciding to store the rest in my storage (forgot) I encountered a very frightening phenomenon. A two tailed Fox I was trying to hunt vanished before my eyes like it was an illusion. At first I thought it was a stealth skill so I used God's eyes to search. I found it....not, like WTF!

On hearing that I quickly search through my memory to get an idea of what happened.

Turns out what I saw was a summoning. This world is spiritually linked to another world where humans exit. You see the strength and talent of the humans there is so weak they can only grow stronger by taming or summoning and signing contracts with demon beasts.

Contracts can only be signed with demon beasts less than a year old and humans themselves can only form contracts after the age of ten.

Which also means I am eligible for one...

[Don't worry you won't be forming any contracts........yet]

"What do you mean by yet?" I asked feeling scared

[Well your contractor isn't of age yet so you still have about nine months to get stronger]

"Is that part of my mission?"

[When it's time you will know]

And with that she went silent, not another word. It's not like there was anything I could do about it besides leveling.

With that I was back to hunt for xp.
