3 Chapter 3: Beacon of Hope
Today the play went well.
Louis; What?!!! Did anyone saw?!!! He shouted, Anxiously.
Sanou; "No, thankfully the curtains drop just before you did. The pelican with glasses replied. You won't be performing another until you rest."
Louis clenches the bedsheets. His turning hid knuckles white.
Bill; Hey, Prez don't worry about it. We were great, don't sweat it. The tiger places his hand on Loui's shoulder. He sat there not responding.

???; I hope Society superstar, didn't break a nail out there, that would be a nightmare? Kabier said with a smirk.
Xabier follows behind. Ellen the zebra glances at Xabier while Xabier looks back at her.
Bill chuckles while Legoshi tail secretly wags.
Bill; Ah ha!! K, what's with the cold shoulder? You almost had us worry there. He put Kabier in a bone-crushing headlock.
Kabier; We-we just going through some family problems...Please-let- go. Kabier was tapping his arm rapidly. Saying his last sentence almost having his windpipe snap.
Bill lets go releasing Kabier from death.
"Sorry, there buddy."
Sanou; Is it just me or did you two get taller?
Bill pulls Kabier and Xabier close; their heads reached Bill's shoulders.
Everyone, but Louis; Huh?
Bill; Haha, look at you two. Now, you can reach a jar of cookies anytime. They glance at one another with horror in their eyes.
Louis; 'Good. Draw their pity from me.'
Dom; Don't forget Xabier's facial hair. It grew if you ask me.
'What will that old man think of me?'
Kai; Don't think because you're taller than me, you won't catch these. Kabier snicker., Kai punches Kabier arm.
Kabier; Hey! Watch it, small fry!!!
'I NEED NONE OF THEM.'
Xabier; Loui. Louis stares back. The show must go on.
Louis; Bill. Bill raised a brow.
- You're going to play alter as of tomorrow.
Bill was dumbfounded until he said.
Bill; Really??? AH, NO WAY! He smirks.
At the club room the next day. Bill was rehearsing his lines with a bamboo stick.
Legoshi nervously holds his with his back facing outside on stage.
Kabier places his hand on his back since Legoshi was taller than him. He surprised Legoshi by his presence.
Kabier; Hey, don't worry about it. You got this, Rex. He gave Legoshi a reassuring stare.
Legoshi; I don't know. I think Louis should let you get the job. He continued staring ahead.
"Don't say that, what makes you think I should?"
Legoshi; You're confident, like Bill, your acting is top-notch.
Kabier; Look, remember the night when you. He scratches his bandaged forearm. Legoshi ears drop. When I first met you, I wanted to run, but my body has its mind of its own. I saw that look in your eyes, not of a cold-carnivore, but as someone that hides his feelings from the world. Everyone is flawed, there's no perfect person, only a better person. It's up to you to take a leap of faith. Legoshi stares at Kabier with admiration.
Kabier opens his left hand, revealing a treat. Legoshi snatches eating it up. Kabier chuckles.
"Where are you getting these from? He chews onto the treat.
Kabier; Don't watch the mouth He pulls his hands up revealing 10 more between his fingers. Watch the hands. Legoshi saliva rolls while eyes pulse.
Bill; Hey, Legoshi. Come here. Let's see if you remember your script. He calls from on stage with the bamboo stick on his shoulder.
Kabier drops the treats in Legoshi hands while he savagely eats them.
Kabier; If you're confident, I'll get you more. He playful smirks.
Legoshi brushes the crumbs from his cheek and stood up straight.
Legoshi; I'll do my best! He jogs on stage with the bamboo stick in hand.
He sighs happily. He follows behind and steps downstage watching the dialog.
Bill swipes his bamboo stick to the side and points at slightly confident Legoshi.
Bill; Color me, impressed. One minute. You weren't sure you can cut it, but now I'm looking at a new and improved, Carnivore. He smirks.
Legoshi nods.
Bill rushes him and attacks.
WHOOSH!! WHOSSH!! BAM!!!! Legoshi was caught surprised by Bill trying to hit him with full force, but he managed to dodge his attempts and their sticks clashed.
"Amazing! I expected no less!" The battle rage on.
Xabier stood shoulder to Kabier with two buckets of popcorn. He gave one to Kabier, and he accepts.
And Eats it while enjoying the show as everyone, in the club minus Louis, looks dumbfounded by this. Kai went to Xabier and points at his bucket while Xabier allows him to get some.
Sanou; Uhm, don't you think they are taking it a little seriously? He watches worried.
Kabier & Xabier; It's fine. They said in sync. Again, the club room was dumbfounded.
Legoshi pushes Bill back, panting.
Bill has a toothy smile.
Bill; We're a wolf and a tiger. We don't need to lie or make up excuses for a fight scene. Humans like K and Zay eat this up, right? He continued staring down Legoshi with his guard up.
Now, Ellen is by Xabier sharing popcorn with him while Kai is by Kabier sharing his.
Xabier & Kabier; He's not lying. They said in sync once again.
Kai and Ellen elbow them while they look back at their sharing partners with confused looks. What?
Bill relaxes and puts his bamboo stick on his shoulder.
Bill; I'm sure tomorrow's performance will be great. Let's hope we'll get some humans in the mix. Let's give it our best.
Kabier; I seriously don't understand this carnivore. Everyone stares at Kabier minus Legoshi and Bill with dumbfounded looks.
Everyone but, Legoshi and Bill; Your the one to, talk?
Legoshi, Kabier, and Xabier stayed late to walk Els to her dorm. They walk side by side, Kabier being on the left end by Xabier and Els being on the right by Legoshi.
Els; Thank you guys for staying late for me.
Legoshi, Kabier, and Xabier; Oh, uh, your welcome! They said in sync.
"This is as if I'm seeing three Legoshi's." She continues giggling while the three stare at each other in silence.
Legoshi; Well, Bill was great today. Legoshi took one for the team.
Els; Aw, don't say that. You're amazing as well, don't downgrade yourself.
Kabier & Xabier; I couldn't agree more. Els nods.
Els; Bill may look confident, but behind that, he's overwhelmed.

They stop near the steps of the girl's dorms.
Els; It's nice talking to you guys. She bows.
Legoshi, Kabier, and Xabier; Same here. Goodnight. They give a small wave and turn around to leave.
Kabier; U-uh, you guys go on ahead. Els, Wait!
Els was going to enter the dorm, but stop hearing her name called. Kabier approaches the steps looking up at her.
"...Well, I'm sorry for the way I acted!" He bows confusing her but understands what he was saying.
Els; You we're understandingly angry. Have they caught the attackers?
Kabier; ...No. Els walks up to him staring eye to eye at him.
She hugs him causing him to slightly stumble.
Els; Keep smiling. No, one won't approach you, otherwise. Be safe, K. She lightly waves, while Kabier watches the door close shut.
Kabier; ...Yeah.

Bill has separated from Louis with crutches from the hallway. Into the stage room where all the club's members were making final preparations.
Sanou; There you are. Do you remember the script? Have a good night's rest?
SNIFF! SNIFF!
Legoshi glance at Bill.
Bill; I'm fine, president. I'm pumped, with a fire in my soul. He smiles. Legoshi tracks the smell from Bill investigates more. Hey Legoshi? Bill backup, nervous.
Legoshi; Bill, what do-
" I need a bathroom break". He sprints out the door.
"I need to go too." He sprints after him.
Sanou; What? Hurry, we go on by fifteen.
Legoshi follows Bill into the bathroom, leaving Bill no way out.
Bill; Legoshi, you know between you and me, I don't swing that way.
Legoshi; What do you have? He clenches his fist.
Bill; "Oh, your carnivore nose works wonders. I got this from a punk in a black market. He pulls out a small elixir of blood.
Legoshi blood boils, literally.
It's rabbit blood, but don't worry, it's no one in this school." Legoshi pins Bill against the wall.
Legoshi; WHY DO YOU HAVE THAT?!! He growls.
Bill laughs.
Bill; This is a little pick me up. He pins Legoshi against the same wall. Stop hiding in the dark and bare your fangs, when we're out there. I won't hold back." He lets go of Legoshi and walks out the door.
Legoshi; Reh! RAAAGH!!! He punches a wall, leaving a hole.
Legoshi exits while Kabier and Xabier step out of separate stalls with curious looks.
Kabier; Legoshi, haven't punch a wall in the anime. Manga?
Xabier; Don't read them. Did he cut Haru?
"No, I saw no scar on her."
Xabier sighs.
Xabier; He wants to protect her, so no surprises...but you?
He lost track.
Kabier frowns staring at the door.
Kabier; This is frustrating.
Beyond the play during the first act.
Legoshi; Ha! HA! Legoshi pummels Bill on stage.
The audience was surprised by the display in front of them without any clue that this is a real deal.
Legoshi; RAAAAAAAAGH!!! His grew stronger with each blow landing.
Until Bill caught his fist and hugs him while Legoshi stares out to the Audience. His face shows visible pain.
Sheila; You three are guys do something! The feline Cheeta whispers.
Sanou: Uh, if I get between the two, I'll get run over. He sweats. Why not you two? He looks to the twins.
Xabier was daydreaming while Kabier went backstage without Xabier notice, and grab a spartan shield.
Xabier; Hey, what are you doing?!
Kabier: There's no way. We can't ignore this. Face the facts!

Legoshi; Ah. Ah. uh! He tried to cry out, but no sound was coming out. Bill guided his claw across Legoshi back. Dripping scarlet blood hitting the stage floor.
Bill; Come on, fight me! There's no hid-
THUD!!! A shield hits Bill on the cheek: letting go of Legoshi.
Audience; Uh!
The shield rolls across the stage until; Kabier picks it up.
Legoshi; K-Kabier.
Bill wipes his blood from his cheek with a grin.
Bill; A human? Your working with this evil? He picks up his sword.
Kabier; You should be asking yourself, impostor.
Audience; Impostor?
- I knew this was true.
- When did humans get part of this?
- Maybe a friend of Alter?
"You stole Alter's identity, and your greed to fight is your downfall!" He flashes the shield.
Bill; Hoooo, is that so?
Kabier; Si...amigo. He bends his knees.
Bill points his sword to Legoshi.
"You have corrupt this poor soul, I'll free you to the Afterlife!!!"
Bill attacks Kabier, but he blocks his attempts stumbling around the stage.
The audiences were on their toes.
Kabier; 'Shit! I underestimate his strength.' Kabier rolls under the blade; getting distances.
Bill; Humans, like you don't have the strength for the like of me.
Kabier; I like to found out.
They ran at each other, Kabier threw his vest, while Bill slices it in half.
Kabier shield bash Bill's gut. Bashes his foot, and then the shield came up Bill's face.
Bill stumbles back, covering his bloody nose.
Kabier uses the shield to knock Bill off his feet.
"Stand down." He whispers.
Bill; Why would I do that? He pops his nostril back, with a growl. I'm just getting started. He smirked.
Sheila; This idiot making things worst! She sighs.
Sanou; You're his brother can you stop him?!
Xabier; I-Uh... He sweats, watching.
Kabier backs up, dodging a slash from Bill's claws; cutting his Dress shirt.
He blocks two more slashes, causing sparks.
Kabier goes for the counter, but Bill catches the shield and delivers a heavy blow to Kabier's gut.
Kabier; Aaaaapla. He coughs saliva. Bill grabs his dress shirt and hurls Kabier across the stage.
He came to a stop. Clench his gut Hmmm- damnit!!
Bill; I had a feeling, you know how this ends. He approaches Kabier.
Legoshi; Don't touch him. He growls.
His fur stood. Legoshi blood boils.
Bill; Eh? A huge grin was plastered on his face seeing Legoshi condition. Their it is Legoshi...come at me. He whispers.
The audience was hooked.
Legoshi goes to get up, while Xabier takes a step.
Legoshi; HANDS OF MY-- A blade appeared by Bill's neck.
Alter; Who are you? I never lay eyes on a fean like you before.
The audience cheers.
Audience; Haha, there he is!
- Loius!!~~
- That's my boy!!
Bill; L-Louis?
Alter; Don't say a word. You did enough. He whispers. You wrestle for my love heart, and theirs no way I could forgive you. Bill backs up to the other side of the stage. The next time I lay eyes on you, I will cut you down in the name of my love." Bill ran into the darkness while Alter helps Kabier up which is clenching his gut and Legoshi.
The audience applauded while the light drowns them.
Legoshi glance at Kabier: he was staring out at the crowd.
Legoshi; 'No, did I just...'
The three grab hands and bowed.
Legoshi; '...Defend what's mine.'
A chill crawled up Kabier's spine.

In the afternoon by the entrance of the theater stood...
Kabier with a black eye; tapping his fingers against the side of his leg.
Legoshi avoiding eye contact.
Bill with a black eye, fixed nostrils; doing the same while Louis gave a disappointed stare.
Xabier races the three steps to the four.
Xabier; I'm sorry for my brother's recklessness, right?
Xabier pushes Kabier's head down, tightening his grip on his head.
Kabier; Ow, ow, I'm sorry, ok?!!! Kabier pleads his suffering under his twin inhuman grip.
Louis; That's fine. Xabier lightened his grip. You four will be suspended from the club until further notice. Don't bother showing your faces unless there something important.
Bill; Wait, hang on a minute.
"Don't bother using any excuses. He tosses the small elixir of rabbit blood on the ground, near Bill as he grew with fear. I don't care less about you Carviores using this to amp up the performance. He glares at Kabier. And you, on the other hand, might grab the audience by your reckless conduct, but that doesn't mean you aren't missing out on cleaning the club room. "
Kabier; Wait, hold on! What did my brother do to get this?! Kabier snapped. Louis glare intensified.
"Human, if I was you, you should watch your tone."
Xabier; Hey, shut up. He whispers while Bill and Legoshi watch.
Kabier; Oh, ha, ha, right "watch my tone."
Louis; Are you going to repeat, what I just said?
"Right, you're observant." He smirks.
"Your brother could have stopped three of you. But he chose to stick to the shadows. Keep all personal problems from the stage."
Kabier growls, and Louis, and others notice his clutch fist.
Bill; Whoa, K. Don't try what I think you gonna try.
Louis; If you going to hit me, it better land. He glares.
Xabier; Knock it off!! He snaps at Kabier.
Kabier; He--
Xabier; He's right. If I could've stopped you guys. This wouldn't have happened. He looks away.
Legoshi; Uh, president? Do you think you're going a little hard on--
Louis; Hard? That doesn't describe what you three did! Do you know because of your action you putting the entire club at risk?!!! Legoshi noticed something and try to call out Loui. YOU THREE DIMMWITS-
"Uh, Louis." Legoshi points behind Louis to gain his attention.
He raises a brow and checks behind him.
A group of Fangirls and News members of the newspaper club were waiting for Loui's response.
Fangirls; There he is!
- Hey, anything on my fur?
- Louis-senpai!!!
Newspaper member; Excuse me, President. I never knew you a direct such an exciting performance. Do you mind; " How did you do it?
Louis throws his arms around Legoshi and Bill's backs, Kabier stood beside Legoshi while Xabier stood to the side watching the scene.
Louis; My team did an amazing job on and off stage. The example of the matter is no matter any animal or human, they should imbraced who they are no matter what society says about them, no matter how troublesome they are. Louis pats Kabier's head.
Kabier grin twitch.
A figure in a hoodie peak behind a wall watches the scene play out until its phone rings.
It stood there silent until dropping the phone and crushing its with it boot.
