"Wow, Isn't this the famous young master Ye of GongCi Sect's Sea Peak?" a loud and mocking voice made itself towards the three childhood friends. "Didn't even manage to contract a beast and yet still have the cheek to play around in town, planning to even watch a show, what joy."

"Tsk" Mu Lian's surrounding aura turned colder than usual as a group of black-robed youths walked towards them.

GongCi Sect has three main peaks - Heaven, Earth and Sea peaks. Heaven Peak's Master would be GongCi's Sect Master Wu. The right side of Heaven Peak is Earth Peak, and its Master is Elder Huang, Sea Peak is on the left belonging to Elder Ming.

Although there was not much competition towards other Sects since their cultivation methods are all different, it is hard to prevent competition within the Sect itself. After enrolling into the Sect of choice, (which is, in this case, 100% because as long as you are a Gold Person, the Sect does not discriminate), everyone enrolled would automatically be an outer disciple. Outer disciples, although they are considered disciples under a Sect's care, they are ordinary performing cultivators who do not have the potential to be powerhouses. They are still given lessons, but they would be basic and not as informative as lessons attended by direct or inner disciples. Outer disciples are required to do chores for the Sect. But it is still considered a good deal for most people as you get cultivation knowledge, lodging and food covered up to twenty years old. They would then seek jobs outside the Sect after. However, for Inner and Direct disciples, you can stay for as long as you want.

For an outer disciple to join the ranks of an inner disciple, one must achieve the top ten in the score for the yearly inner Sect qualifying exams.

Ye Chen enrolled into GongCi Sect on his 7th birthday. Because the number of outer sect disciples exceed thousands, he was competing in the yearly exams with seniors up to 20 years old. It is not easy in the beginning as everyone has more experience and time in the Sect.

However, after years of studying hard, before he turned 12, he managed to get into the top 10 among thousands of outer sect disciples. He was one of the youngest to be able to achieve this placement in many years.

After successfully becoming an Inner Sect disciple, all new Inner Sect Disciples are to showcase their talent during the welcoming party organized for all successful Inner Sect applicants. Inner Sect seniors and Sect Elders will also be present during the welcome party. If any of the inner disciples caught the attention of one of the Sect Elders, they could be recruited as a direct disciple under the Sect elder. Direct disciples receive the most amount of resources and have the most advantage when it comes to learning. It is extremely difficult to be a direct disciple of an Elder, as being one would indirectly mean that there is a potential chance the direct disciple would be their successor.

Sect Leader Wu has a total of seven disciples, the oldest being forty, and the youngest being 16 - which is Wen Jun. Sect Elder Huang has a total of twelve disciples, eighty percent of which are female disciples. Whenever Ye Chen thinks about how Elder Ming demanded him to be his direct disciple, Ye Chen would frown a little and scratch his head. That's right, Elder Ming demanded Ye Chen to be his disciple. But that is a story for another day. Currently, Ye Chen's master is Elder Ming, the master of Sea Peak in GongCi Sect - And he's the only direct disciple of Elder Ming.

"What do you want, Wen Jun?." Ye Chen crossed his arms in a relaxed way and stared at the arrogant teen walking towards him.

The arrogant teen's waist hangs an orange jade with a cloud emblem - it's an emblem of being the direct disciple of Heaven Peak. His dark brown eyes shined against the daylight as he spoke with a smirk. He is a very charming looking young teenager who would grow up to capture many hearts without even trying.

"Nothing much, just didn't think I'll be so lucky to see Elder Ming's prized disciple strolling down the streets so happily after failing such a simple hunt." Wen Jun shrugs shoulders and let out a chuckle. The black-robed group following behind him also laughed along.

Before Ye Chen could refute, Mu Lian dragged Ye Chen's arm "Let's not waste time talking to useless people, the show is about the start, let's go."

While Ye Chen was being dragged away at a considerable distance, Wen Jun was about to add another sentence "I wonder who's the useless one during the hunt, as a healer, can't even..." before he could finish his sentence, a loud flap was heard and the next moment a pair of crystal blue eyes were right in front of Wen Jun.

His neck felt a chilly touch of something sharp leaning against the neck. Surprised at the speed of the movement, Wen Jun looked down and found a sharp edge of a wooden fan resting right beside his neck.

The owner of the wooden fan gazed at Wen Jun for a second before he retracted his hands and gently smiled at him with his crystal blue eyes. Wearing a smile across his face, Mu Yang spoke with a gentle voice. "Young Master Wen, it was nice to be able to bump into you today. I hope you would go about having a great evening while we go about having ours. I doubt either of us wants anyone to get hurt, right?"

Without waiting for a reply, Mu Yang strolled off to join the other two who are still bickering in the distance while walking.

Unable to produce a sound, Wen Jun stood there, still recovering from the shock of what had happened. Because it was under a second, no one else behind him saw what happened. Only Wen Jun, who was at the receiving end saw the entire episode clearly. In that split second earlier, he could have died if the other party wishes.

The second young master of the Mu Family has always displayed a very gentle and kind aura towards everyone, It was not the first time Wen Jun has seen him, they cross paths frequently as the twins come over to GongCi Sect to play with Ye Chen often. But in that split second, Mu Yang's murder intent pressured Wen Jun and he broke into cold sweat without being able to retaliate. This means to say Mu Yang's cultivation is way ahead. To think they are both the same age (Both 16) - that is some crazy powerhouse potential.

With the sudden adrenaline rush, Wen Jun could now hear his own heartbeat while he thought to himself "Mu Yang, is it? Now that's a surprise." He wiped away his cold sweat and looked in the direction the three walked towards. He suddenly thought to himself, "Ahh… I wonder what it's like when those blue eyes are crying?" before breaking into a smirk.

"Jun-Shixiong! What are you laughing about?" a female disciple with a ponytail and side bangs skips over and clings herself to the right arm of Wen Jun. Her waist hangs a blue jade with a mountain emblem. "Shimei wants to know as well!"

"Your Shixiong may have found something interesting." Wen Jun replied with a smile on his face.
