66 Speed Training (Part 2)

In the testing room.

With the experience of the first test, Riley was much more relaxed during the second test. He no longer overthought Teacher Jerry's subtle expressions.

With Riley's cooperation, the test was quickly completed.

The door opened.

"Bark!"

Fire Dog's eyes lit up when it saw Riley, and it enthusiastically pounced, nearly causing Riley to stumble.

Since Fire Dog had been wearing the weighted ring, Riley hadn't carried it much. Fire Dog understood that it had become somewhat heavy, and Riley couldn't hold it for too long. It stayed in Riley's arms for about 10 seconds before jumping down.

"Seems like you two have a great bond," Chase couldn't help but remark.

It was the first time he had seen a Fire-type contracted spirit beast that was so obedient and attached very much to its owner.

Riley smiled and replied, "Yeah."

The teachers who had been in the office earlier had now gathered outside the testing room, standing in an orderly manner, waiting for Riley to come out.

Riley felt a bit nervous about all the attention they were giving to a simple test.

Teacher Jerry handed the test results to Chase and said seriously, "There's no problem; it's just not stable yet."

Chase took the results and found that they matched the independent awakening certificate.

The standards for the high school entrance exam score reductions for independent awakening special admission candidates were based on the level of Brain Domain development, and each school had its own criteria.

In their school, if a student had a 5% Brain Domain development, they could reduce the lowest passing score in the Enchantia City high school entrance exam by 100 points. With a 6% development, it could be reduced by 200 points.

However, Riley's Brain Domain was still fluctuating and hadn't reached a stable percentage.

This was a bit of a tricky situation, but not a big problem.

Chase had made up his mind, and he smiled at Riley, saying, "Since your Brain Domain hasn't stabilized yet, we'll consider an intermediate value for your score reduction."

Normally, with Brain Domain fluctuations between 5% to 9%, it should eventually stabilize at 5% or 6%. However, Chase decided that Riley's Brain Domain was at 7%.

The other teachers nearby didn't find this surprising at all.

This was the first independent awakened Beast Tamer to apply to their school since its establishment. Whether the score reduction was 100 points or 200 points on the college entrance exam didn't matter; what mattered was that it reflected their school's attitude.

As long as he chose Enchantia No. 6 Beast Tamer High School for the high scool entrance exam, the doors were wide open for him!

Riley naturally understood the principal intention.

Most ordinary Beast Tamer high schools only mentioned score reductions for independent awakening Beast Tamers in the range of 5% to 6% because it was exceedingly rare for a Brain Domain to independently awaken above 7% within a State in a span of five years.

Even if there was such a candidate, they would almost certainly not choose an ordinary Beast Tamer high school.

It would be a lie to say he wasn't moved by this; it essentially meant he had been admitted.

"Thank you," Riley said.

...

...

Having bid farewell to Enchantia No. 6 Beast Tamer High School, it was only 10:32 AM.

Unlike the past few days, Riley didn't take Fire Dog to Altru Park for training.

Ville Square, third floor.

The baseball training center.

After paying for two hours, Riley brought Fire Dog to the mechanical training room inside.

The baseball training center was specifically designed for people to practice baseball, but Riley felt it was suitable for Fire Dog to undergo neural reaction speed training.

The small mechanical training room was empty, with only two baseball pitching machines inside.

"Fire Dog, try to dodge the balls that come out. I'll be right here with you. If you get tired, just let me know," Riley said.

Although Fire Dog had no idea where the balls were coming from, it obediently nodded.

The baseball pitching machines had six levels of speed, ranging from slow to fast. Fire Dog's weighted ring on its right forelimb was still in place. Riley set one of the machines to the slowest mode.

Both baseball pitching machines were activated. The speed was not high, and Riley easily dodged a ball, and then sat in a corner.
