2 Chapter 2: The Day The World Ended

BRIAN'S POV

We were gathered around our kitchen table, listening to the HAM Radio, Lisa got out of storage. "Dad," I say. "How bad is it?"

"Its bad, reports are coming from all over the world," Dad knew this day would come, he just did not expect it to be in his time. When I think back on the creature I saw back at the park, I wondered if maybe it did see me, but it choose to let me live. Whatever the reason, I suspect it was not for a good reason. Just then, a large explosion, or what sounded like an explosion, shook the entire house. Lisa screamed from the living room, and we all ran to her.

"What?"Dad asked.

"I saw something,"

"What did you see?"

"Something with long like tentacles,"

That's when I knew we were being invaded. That what happened at the park was no accident or terrorism.

"Dad, a word please," I say.

We go back into the kitchen.

"Its an invasion dad, Lisa just confirmed it,"

"I know, I always knew this day would come," he said."This was what u could not talk about while I was in the army as well as when I retired,"

"I know dad,"

"I foresaw this, Brian. And I tried to warn them but they heeded those warnings, told me I was crazy,"

I nodded.

"Promise me something son, if they come for me, promise me tou will take care of this family,"

"I promise dad,"

Suddenly gunfire broke out and all of us took cover. We could here the screams of people and the clicking the aliens made, almost as if it was some kind of war cry. Something tells me that this invasion was never going to end.

ALIEN POV

The leader, lead a large group of aliens to an two story house. "Check that house," they were told, and invaded the home. It was the Reeds neighbors house. Screams could be heard as the aliens attack the residents.

The leader thought he saw a human standing in the window in the house next to it, but quickly dismissed it, almost like he was told to leave that house alone.

BRIANS POV

As we continued to listen to the radio, I could not stop shaking the feeling we were being watched. The military was erging us to seek the safe zone.

"Dad, we should go to the safe zone,"
