66 New Skills

After the king died, the zombies lost their leader and fled. Adam and Nia approached Ben slowly, putting their weapons away and deactivating their skills.

"We owe you Ben." Adam said seriously.

"Don't worry, I had selfish reasons." Ben smirked at Adam. "I want our cities to become an alliance. We will be able to trade goods and help each other in dire times."

Adam silently pondered Ben's words. He had to admit it was a good offer, with Ben's strength and the strength of another city they would be able to fend off most attacks.

"Sounds like a good idea to me." Nia gave her input.

Adam nodded his head and stuck out his hand. "We have an alliance Ben."

Ben smiled and reached out to shake his hand.

[City 01 and City 03 are now in alliance. The two will be able to teleport between cities without any restrictions.]

"That was simpler than I thought." Ben said after the announcement appeared.

Adam nodded in agreement. The three of them headed back towards the city, they were met with loud cheers and praise.

"Go celebrate with your people. I am going to head home and celebrate as well." Ben said to the couple before disappearing.

Adam and Nia nodded their heads, grateful for Ben and his help.

Ben soon found himself at the teleportation building and quickly stepped into the circle. A flash of light and he found himself back in City 01.

"Good to be home." Ben said with a smile. He summoned his wings and took off into the air, flying above his city.

"Is that a flying beast!? Should we report to the general?" a soldier said pointing at the dark figure in the sky.

"Idiot! That's the City Lord!" another said, looking at Ben flying with admiration in his eyes.

Soon people flooded the streets and saw Ben flying above the city. Their cheers filled the air.

"CITY LORD!"

"I love you City Lord!"

"Our leader will never lose!"

Down below, two generals followed the cheers and saw Ben flying above the city.

"Looks like he finally woke up." Colton said with a smile, he turned to James, "Should we go see him?"

"Might as well, I'm sure he will call a meeting soon anyways." James said and started walking away.

"Wait until he sees our new skills." Colton said excitedly, clenching his fists.

James nodded his head, "We should be able to lesson his burden now." The two of them headed off, cheerfully chatting about things.

Ben flew over to the large tent that they set up for the wounded during the battle. It still was filled with wounded soldiers and healers but the number was slightly lesser than before. Ben walked in and all eyes turned to him. A soldier that was missing a leg sat up on his bed and tried standing. Shaking at first but he eventually found his balance before giving a military salute to Ben.

"Thank you City Lord." he said loudly.

Ben quickly came beside him and helped support him, sitting him back down on the bed he said, "No thank you." Returning the salute he turned around and found the entire tent was saluting him.

"Thank you City Lord!" they said together.

Saluting them back, Ben said, "I am the one who should be thanking you. Your sacrifices are what won this war. Now get back to healing, I want everyone to back to perfect health so we can celebrate properly."

The soldiers all grinned as the healers helped them back onto their beds. Ben walked through and talked to a couple of them and even healed a soldier with Natural Energy.

Arriving at the back of the tent, Ben called out, "May I enter?"

"Of course City Lord." a soft voice answer behind the curtain.

Opening the curtain, Ben saw a women dressed in white, standing over a man who was grimacing in pain. Her hands were covered in white energy as she touched the man's chest. The man's face seemed to relax as he fell asleep.

"Seems like your powers have improved." Ben said, watching her healing the man.

"We all have." Lilith gave a mysterious smile.

Ben looked at her curiously waiting for an answer.

"We have activated our Inherited Skills." she explained.

"All of you?" Ben asked slightly shocked.

"The generals and along with a few others." Lilith said, she then looked at Ben curiously, "Have you activated yours?"

Ben gave a cocky smirk and answered, "I activated mine at level 20."

Lilith's facial expression didn't change as she stared at Ben. Finally she muttered, "Of course you did."

"What your new skill Lilith?" Ben asked, still smiling.

"It's called Angel's Touch. It amplifies my holy and light magic and allows me shape my magic into objects." Lilith explained.

Ben frowned at her explanation, a little underwhelmed.

Lilith smiled and activated her skill, a large pair a white wings appeared on her back, giving her an angelic look and feel.

"Now I can fly as well." Lilith smile, floating a few centimeters off the ground.

"Interesting." Ben said. 'I wonder what skills the others got.'

Ben told Lilith to come to the mansion after she was done for some celebration drinks. She said she would after she finished up here.

Ben left and headed back to the mansion, eager to see his family. Entering the mansion, he was greeted by the maids who gave him a deep bow, thanking him. He smiled and nodded at them. He quickly found his family and his mother gave him a big hug.

"Don't make me worry like that." she said in his ear.

"Of course mom." he answered with a soft smile.

His dad grabbed his shoulder and told him he did a good job while Greyson punched him in the shoulder asking him why he always had to be so dramatic.

"The ladies love it." he replied cheekily as he pulled Cloey in for a hug. Not fighting it, she wrapped her arms around his waist.

"Are we interrupting?" a voice rang out.

Letting go of Cloey, Ben turned and saw James and Colton in the doorway.

"Always it seems but don't stop now." Ben said, waving for them to come in.

They both entered the room and started to chat with Ben and his family. Soon Lance and Shenelle came and Lilith sooned followed. Ben also called for Deke and Henry, they showed up soon after.

"Okay so now that everyone one is here, I would like to know everyone's new skills if that's okay." Ben looked at each of them, excited to see how powerful everyone grew.

Colton stepped out first, eagerly to show off his new skill.

"Tyrant's Rule!" Colton yelled, a wave of energy filled the room.

"No one within a 20m range can use any skill or summon their elements." Colton said with a satisfied smug.

Ben frowned and tried to activate his lightning. Ben was surprised to find that his lightning was restricted. Ben's frown grew deeper as he tried harder to bring out his lightning. Only a tiny black spark appeared on his palm causing Colton to pale.

"How the hell did you do that!?" Colton went wide eyed when he saw it.

"It's a powerful skill but looks like there is still some restrictions. My level is higher than yours so it must have something to do it." Ben surmised, rubbing his chin. "But… that is a very powerful skill."

Everyone in the room nodded in agreement, their powers were all restricted.

Colton deactivated his skill and stepped back with a dejected look on his face, upset that his skill was beat by Ben.

"My skill is an attack based skill that drains the life force from the surrounding plant life and charges it into single point. It's called Nature's Rage." Shenelle said, explaining her skill.

Ben nodded his head, excited to see her new skill.

Lance went next and a white light surrounded him, he then took out a small knife and cut his hand. The cut almost immediately healed instantly causing everyone to gasped.

"Knight's Vigor. It allows me to have powerful regeneration abilities for 30 seconds." Lance said calmly.

Ben's eyes shined, with this Lance would be even more reliable for defending the city and in battle. He was basically invincible for 30 seconds.

Everyone turned and looked at the last general, James.

Letting out a sigh, James said, "It is called Wind's Direction. It allows my wind to take characteristics of other elements. Each 'direction' has a different element. North- Ice, West- Lightning, East- Fire and South is storm." James told them, leaving them all shocked.
