8 - The First Warlord -

He looked forward, his gaze focused on a distant island. He took a step forward and placed his foot on the edge of the railing with his hands behind his back.

Another crashing wave hit the ship making it rumble back and forth which seemed to have no effect of the man at the front of the ship only called Boss or Leader. The others however seemed to been shivering and were very bothered by the cold water to splash up onto the boat and on them.

The waves splashed all around his longboat each wave caused some water to be taken inside of the boat. The crew were restless and groaning each time some of the icy water touched them. One of the crew looked forward at their leader who was in the front of the boat with his iron gaze focused on the island that appeared in the distance.

The leader of this vessel looked savage. Due to the time on sea his sandy blonde hair grew all over his face, His beard now reached his chest and at the end of his beard were rope knots that were an attempt made to groom the beard. His hair which was usually short had reached back and carelessly flew in the wind gathered by the sea.

The aura around him commanded respect and reverence. In the empire he was said to be the top of the magic users his ability shocked others including the empresses daughter but when news came that he rejected her and the empire as a whole. His exile was assured and the allied kingdoms didn't wish to incur the wrath of the empire.

What made him look even more fearless was his armor, He wore padded armor and atop of it was a steel breastplate with shoulder guards which were connected together. On his arms were chainmail which connected to a steel gauntlet. He had trousers and on top of his trousers was more of his armor plated steel legs with spikes at the end of it. Including a huge fur cape which covered his back and gave him the fearsome look of a sophisticated war chief.

Usually he wouldn't wear his armor so frequently as it was very weird and heavy but the days started to increase and it became colder on the sea and the water gathered on the boat so he put them on for warmth.

No one on the boat could see his expression, At the moment since his whole back was turned to them. He also gave off an oppressive aura which deterred most from staring at him too much. He simply didn't like being gaze at as if he was an animal or a mythical beast of some kind.

His thoughts were calm and clear even after the incident ` The island. They sent me to the sea to kill me. . . But to think that I am going to live longer.` From an incredible distance from the ship he was able to spot a small village and a bay.

The sailors on the boat heard an incredibly rough and powerful voice speak `` Land over there`` They looked up to see their leader have their finger pointed in a general direction toward the island. They followed his finger and spotted what he was looking at.

The designated coordinator barked out some orders and began to set the crew to change course toward the direction pointed by their leader.

An hour after the ship was sailing toward the particularly large settlement according to native standards, Even if they were natives. A wall of noise was heard, It was accompanied by the sound of men rushing toward the shore with their armor on which was padded armor and their swords and shield readied.

After examining the men stationed on the shore,The leader assumed that there were only about two hundred men in the line up facing his longboat. He turned his head looking at his men who had stopped rowing and waited for their leaders to order them to pull off.

``Keep rowing forward, I don't sense a single strong man in that group.`` His voice was clear and steady causing most of his men to look at him in surprise. Any normal man who is outnumbered would've been scared or frightened at the sight of these men.

``Don't keep me waiting.`` His presence suddenly boomed causing the man nearest to the leader to slump over to the side banging his head on the railings of the ship.

The Coordinator woke up the man and when he saw he was unresponsive he simply threw him overboard and started to row the boat himself. The lives of these men here were simply expendable compared to the life of the leader. They all swore fealty to him when they were on land but they all have come to regret choosing this man as their leader.

He was cold and didn't like the men to keep him waiting, One time a mutiny occurred on the vessel when some of the more elite of the men disliked his way command and his way of talking to them. These men are now no longer with the crew.

The entire village could see the man's ship approach, They also saw as a man who was closest to the man fell down unconscious and was thrown overboard. Causing many of the spectators to look at their new visitors with hatred and disrespect.

Each of them had a warrior's philosophy to die without holding your weapon is most disgraceful. They all believed that those who have had this opportunity robbed from them should be pitied and the man who has done this act should be hated. The man on the front of the long boat was hated and a few warriors did a howl to show it.

The image of this man would be drawn in the books of history. The scene that accompanied his image shocked many to the core.

Most images that depict this scene show a man holding the leader by the neck, his other hand gripping another man's neck which was slumped down in his hand. Under his feet was a man covered in blood and bellowing in pain his hand outstretched toward the viewer. The man would be known as the first warlord he came into their world and gave them endless amounts of power which only his divided sons and daughters could hope to replicate.
