5 A Second Chance 2

So when Jake regained consciousness he felt very strange, he did not remember exactly what was happening and got a little dizzy.

After a while, he began to remember that on the day of his birthday he had gone to do what he always did on his birthdays, so after returning home he had an accident.

Now he thought everything was a nightmare, so he looked around to see where he was and realized that he was not home, I better this was not the house he should be in. He remembered this room very well, it was the fourth in that he lived with his mother when he was 10 years old.

It was then that when he tried to get up he stretched his legs, only to see that he felt his legs now, the thing that had been more than 20 years that he did not remember the sensation, now everything was so natural.

So he stood up and looked at the mirror, he saw a young face with a better vision, but his body was much smaller and weaker.

So Jake finally realized that what he weaves was not a dream, what the system said to him was real, he actually got a second chance, he was not sad because he lost the life he was happier because he could just come back to the past he had already gained much more.

So Jake sat back on his little single bed in his room and started to cry, he really had a second chance, now he had his legs back and also soon could see his mother he thought he might never see again.

So Jake was remembering that some things from his past that would now be his gift, he remembered this house that was and a suburb of Miami.

When it comes to Miami, people who do not know think that everyone living there has a lot of money, that was far from the truth, this house that Jake lived with his mother was a house Jake's grandfather his father's father bought when he was old.

When Jake's grandfather died he left the house for Jake's father who was going to marry his mother.

Jake's family was very simple, on the part of his mother Eva who was of Spanish descent all his relatives had already died, the same with the family on the part of his father.

Maybe a little of that had to do with Jake's bad luck that the system said it was so big it even affected the people closest to him, when he thought about it he felt a lot more sad, after all, though it was not his fault it was sad to know that many people including his mother that he loved so much died because of his bad luck.

So he was also a bit worried about it, would his bad luck accompany him in his second life?

More now Jake did not want to think about it, even though he knew he did, he did not have a solution now, and he was back, Jake had to think about what to do.

As he remembered that Jake was immediately anxious, the two things he most wanted and could not have had now, his legs working and his mother, Jake looked at his watch and saw in it was still early in the afternoon and his mother would arrive It was only after six.

So what he could do was run and remember the emotion that was when he had his legs working, so Jake ran out of the house, then began to run to the nearest park.

The more Jake ran, the more excited he got. Just having this feeling of running and knowing that he was going to see his mother already compensated for having gone back to the past.

In this neighborhood Jake lived in, basketball was not very popular, there were not many blocks open and the ones that were open were occupied by the older boys and adults, and the schools had only a weak basketball team, which was one reason Jake did not have discovered his talent for basketball.

Plus the neighborhood had some parks, the bigger ones were used more by the adults, the smaller ones only had children, thus was born the taste of Jake by running.

After Jake arrived at the park he kept running, running until he fell and when he tired he collapsed on the ground laughing, the feeling of running was very good, plus Jake had only a body of 10 years so of course, he had no resistance to it.

After resting Jake ran longer until it was late afternoon, so Jake came home, he took a shower, put on a good outfit, cleaned the house, made dinner and sat waiting.

Today was meant to be a day full of emotions for Jake, he had to calm down and talk to his mother that he loved very much and had not seen for a long time as if he had seen her this morning, otherwise she would think it strange.

After a while, the door of the house opened and appeared a woman who looked 30 years older looked tired, she had black hair and more than 1.70 in height.

When Eva looked into the living room and saw Jake sitting there she opened a smile on her tired face, "Hi, son, did you spend the day well at home?"

When Jake heard his voice he could not stand it ran and gave her a hug and said crying "welcome back mother".

It was impossible to hold back the emotion after missing his mother he loved so much for almost 15 years, it was too long to be seeing someone, in addition, Jake was very shocked by his mother's death in the past, although he tried to be optimistic because his mother died while sleeping and did not suffer much.

The reality, however, was that it was rather unexpected for Jake, though his mother looked a bit discouraged he always insisted on taking her to the doctor to do a general checkup every year and Eva's sweat was fine.

Although Jake knew that this was known to be a psychological illness, Jake did not know that anyone could die like this, he already saw people who had this disease take their lives, plus die asleep he never saw.

So he had not even talked to his mother much on the day of his death, Eva had just returned from work after doing an overtime and had come back tired, Jake had bought some frozen food to make and he had already eaten so he did not even see when her mother eats, then she bathed and slept never to wake up.

"Jake, what happened to you today, in the morning you were happy and smiling, now you're crying when you saw me you were hurt or something?"

So Jake was a bit thrilled after seeing his mother after all this time, especially when he thought he could never hear her voice again.

But Eva knew nothing of it, Jake was happy and joking in the morning, but now she was crying as if she was blowing something, the first thing she thought was that something serious had happened to him.

Clearer no matter how strong a mother's intuition, Eva could never imagine how much things Jake was holding in her heart, now he could do like a child and cry out the grievances in his mother's arms.

After a while Jake recovered and stopped crying so as not to worry his mother anymore, so he took another look at his mother's face, she still had her beautiful brown eyes and gorgeous black hair, but her hair was a bit dry life and also the face of his mother seemed much older than it really was, after all, Eva was now only 28 years old, but seemed to have more than 30.

"I'm fine now Mom, I was a little scared all day today, I think I had a horrible nightmare, I do not remember much, I know it was very bad and it looks like you had died in that dream."

So with a few words, Jake calmed the whole situation by throwing the blame on a nightmare, which for him was not a lie, after all, that he went through could be said as a nightmare, in which many bad things happened and few good things.

"Do not worry my son, this was just a nightmare the mother will always be here for you."

Although Eva was a little pitying Jake had a nightmare, it was nice to see that his son was so afraid he was not on his side.

Then Eve looked at the table and saw that Jake had cleaned the house and even made dinner, although she had taught Jake to do some things she thought Jake had not learned to cook so she was pleasantly surprised.

"Well let's eat to see if the food you made is good."
