2 Chapter 2 ~Ida Brings Out Hidden Things~

Ariana and Miranda, the two siblings were preparing earnestly with much enthusiasm for their favorite cousin's arrival, they had even invited Efe to help them redecorate their room, they changed the white walls into deep blue with flowery designs, they even bought fairy lights for movie nights, a tradition they mostly had when Ida visited, Ida's visits were ones to remember, the girl knew how to make things lively, how to put smiles on the faces of people and not to talk of how outgoing she was.

They changed positions of some of the furniture in the room, and washed the bathroom and washroom till the tiled floors shined and sparkled, they did this with much fun and with the fun came noise and loud laughter, Miranda was also leaving for school in two days time, and she wanted to have much fun with her family before leaving for school.

She must admit that she was really going to miss her little sister and Ida, their mother had left very early that morning.

After cleaning and tidying up almost every corner of their apartment, they decided to prepare something, it was already afternoon and they were more anxious, awaiting the arrival of their cousin, Efe had left later that afternoon to attend to her family, her little brother needed babysitting and her parents were out.

" This Saturday is much fun" Her sister commented as they sat on the comfy couch in the living room.

"Yes, it is. Can't you leave for university next week. I mean , you came back for break just last two weeks" Ariana said turning to face her sister.

"I wish I could, but kid, I'm in my last year, and I need to put in much effort so I can finish hard"

"But you are putting in effort, you get straight A's in school, and , will you stop calling me kid" Ariana said, folding her arms over her busty chest.

"You are barely thirteen Dede" Her sister said nonchalantly , a bored expression on her face.

" well, age doesn't matter, don't forget I'm in my last year in Junior high" Ariana said standing up to get the door. Miranda watched her sister as she walked away swaying her slightly broad hips, the girl had outgrown her age, not to talk of the fact that the boys in the area had started proposing to her, but her sister turned them down. It made her proud of her sister, Ariana was focusing on just her education at that moment, but how long could that moment last?

Would she be able to control herself when a boy charmed her with his words and looks, and her sister was barely thirteen and plainly naive, she could easily get deceived and used, it made her worry sometimes, she pushed those thoughts from her mind concentrating on the program playing on the television.

The sound of girly screams and the main door banging, got Ariana on her feet, her sister had left a few minutes to get drinks at a nearby mart, they had even prepared dinner, so that their mother and Ida would have something to eat after a long journey, Ariana got up from the couch she was lying on, she had drifted off to sleep, she rubbed her eyes tiredly before getting to the door, a smile crept on her face as she saw her sister barge into the apartment holding a big travelling bag, she went outside and saw Ida and her mother entering the house through the main gate, she rushed towards Ida , who hadn't noticed Ariana, she hugged her tightly, Ida's arms soon wrapped around her body as they hugged happily rocking from side to side.

"Oh Ida! I miss you so much, look at how you've changed so much" Ariana exclaimed, her tiny voice sounding much shaky and quivering a bit.

Sometimes she didn't like her voice, especially when she was talking out loud, it sounded sick like she was crying. She pulled out of their hug looking at Ida shyly with her big doe eyes, her hands dropped to her sides and she fiddled with the hem of the shirt she was wearing, she mostly and instantly felt shy when she exclaimed or felt overly excited. Most people, especially her classmates, said she was timid, and most of the time she tried to prove them wrong. Ida burst into laughter as she hugged her cousin again.

" Oh my Aria! You look so adorable right now" Ida looked at her cousin again before tugging her shirt in an attempt to get her moving, Ariana beamed falling into stop with Ida.

"So how has my favorite little cousin been?" Ida smirked when Ariana frowned, she knew how Ariana hated been called little.

"Why do you all keep calling me little" Ariana complained , her voice getting more softer, she had a baby voice , and when she whined it got more tinier and high pitched.

"why do you all keep calling me little" Ida tried to mimic Ariana's voice, but failed.

They both burst into laughter as they entered the apartment.

He watched quietly from the balcony, his cold heart melting as he watched and heard her soft laughter, more like a baby laughing. He couldn't deny that , that little girl had caught his attention, and was slowly finding her way to his heart without even trying, when he had first seen her, he had thought of her merely as a child, but then as he begun observing the girl, he realised how breathtakingly beautiful she was, and her curvy features made him long to touch her.

He had choked on his drink when his friends kept talking about how some of them had made a move on her, well, to their disappointment, she had turned all of them down. He was curious, interested in her, he wanted to know her more, and he didn't know why, he had never felt so much affection for a girl before, and this one took him by surprise, he was trying his best to not allow it take over him, but it just wouldn't work.

The girl has his heart now, and he needed to get her for himself as soon as possible before she messed with it....
