3 Chapter 2 Everlasting Smile

When Bayan, James and Matthew arrived at the chief house, Bayan saw a middle aged man who wore serious expression on his face, his short-white hair and mustache paired with two eyes that full of intelligence make him look like a wise and noble man.

James told the story of Bayan who met a goblin in outer area of forest, James told his worry about the chance that goblin is scouting the village to raid the village and warned the chief to make a squad of some villager who can fight to prevent the goblin from raiding the village.

The chief, Jones, is only stayed here for a year. In Waltz village, the chief seat is always passed down to the previous chief family, and Jones is suddenly replacing the previous chief. The previous chief told the villager that he will traveled to his homeland and Jones will replacing him for the chief position.

After James finishing his stories, Bayan can see that Jones expression is still the same as ever and only told James to scout the goblin camp, and he will prepare some villager to fight against the goblin. James make Bayan to lead the way into the place where he met the goblin, Bayan is still remembered the place and he lead James and Matthew there.

After 30 minutes, they arrived at the place and they begin to searching for a track of goblin foot step nearby. James found a footstep of goblin and following the mark with Bayan and James in tow.

They're hiding inside a bush and and see 3 goblin is surrounding a horned rabbit, the goblin is using a wooden spear and using a sharp stone for the spear head.

One of the goblin is succeed to land a stab on the rabbit body and begin to chop the rabbit into 3 pieces. Bayan watching the gruesome act of goblin who eat the raw and fresh rabbit meat, they munch the rabbit meat with blood on their hand, the blood is dripping from their chin and falling to the grass. He feel nauseous to see all of that, his stomach is ragging and he begin to sweating on his back, he really nervous and his breath is unsteady.

James gave Bayan and Matthew a signal with his eyes who told them to get back slowly. James and Matthew is taking their step slowly, but Bayan is still watching the goblin laughing and munching the meat, James tapping Bayan shoulder to get his attention. But when he tapped Bayan shoulder, he heard a loud,clear and mighty fart sound. Bayan turning his body around to face James,

" So..sorry it's slipped out of my butt.." Said Bayan while giving James a smile that looks like a crying orangutan.

The goblin is stopping their meal and turn around to see Bayan and James, they pick their weapon on the ground and run forward. James is still dumbfounded by Bayan fart but back to his sense when he see the goblin is running into his way, He draw his sword and shouting " Attack ! " while running to a goblin on the middle.

He makes a stance and his sword is glowing with a weak blue light, he run and jump forward to cut the goblin hand and the wooden spear is falling to the ground, he didn't stop his jump and passing the goblin side and stab his sword into the goblin's stomach from its back. Matthew released his arrow and it hit the goblin's shoulder on the right side, the goblin is flinching and James slash his sword from the side and it makes the upper body of the goblin flying to the side while it's lower body falling to the ground.

While James and Matthew fighting, the goblin on the left side is running into Bayan place, Bayan is surprised and unknowingly he moving his step to the back and fell backward. The goblin smiling and showing his teeth when he saw Bayan's expression, the times is move slowly for Bayan. He can see the blood and the small meat chunk on the goblin teeth. When the goblin is about to stab it spear into Bayan's body, Bayan saw a sword moving slowly into the goblin's neck, the sword cut its neck like a butter and the goblin head is flying slowly to the side.

Even when the goblin body who missing its head is falling into Bayan's chest, he hugged the goblin body unconsciously while his eyes is still locking the goblin head who fell and rolling on the ground, the goblin head is stopping when it hit the nearby tree's root. It face is still smiling and it eyes is still gazing to Bayan side, Bayan is gulping his throat and he's sure that he will never forget that smiling face for the rest of his life. That smile makes Bayan realized his self that not all smiles are beautiful.

He hugged the goblin body tightly and he feel like he and that goblin's head is the only thing that exist in this world.
