5 Chapter 5

Besides the self models, were various diagnostic data about both his forms. As for the skills tab, it showed his abilities. Each one was listed with a silver icon, a short description, and a progress bar with a number on top. Next to each progress bar was a plus Icon. For skills that cannot be increased, like Soul Pond, Dream Space, and Ecstasy Soul Fire, it turned into a gold icon and said 'Maxed'.

Ren nodded his head. Though he does not explicitly need this system panel. It indeed helped him for accuracy and visualization for himself. The models and library tabs are self explanatory. As for the search tab, it is something that works in conjunction with two prior tabs. It is a search engine that scours the library and models when keyworded.

After making this system panel, he decided to try to read one of the books, when he selected a random one, he was instantly dumbfounded, he only knows three languages, english from his last life, and common and draconic from the dragon inheritance. Yet, all these books are written in titanic.

He received no titan inheritance. This left him severely depressed, and strengthened his resolve to contact humans. He three it to the back of his mind and walked around the palace, before coming to an area he believed to be an armory, he nearly jumped with excitement. He ran in, he saw swords, maces, axes and various other weapons.

He hastily grabbed one sword then froze… it turned to dust right before his very eyes. Ren merely sat down in depression. He then decided to record a model of each weapon, then try to pick them up to see if any survived. After another few hours, 156 different weapons were included in his model database.

Sadly, not one weapon was able to be used. He merely left without care, and explored the rest of the palace. He found many empty rooms, he speculated that the items inside had long dissolved. He tried touching some skeletons and met with the same results. So he just wandered around the palace.

Eventually he came upon a room he speculated to be the core. Inside was a large clear sphere with a bluish tint about the size of a beach ball, he quickly sensed that it contained a miniscule amount of lightning energy, probably equal to a car battery. It was filled with various runes, he recognized them from the various rune books.

He had absolutely no idea what they represented, but by golly did he create a model of it. At this point he had a brilliant idea, why not model the entire palace? The only requirements he had for the modeling was that he had to be within arms reach to initiate it, and that I had to fill it with soul energy.

He took a break, and started to fill his soul energy up, sending countless ghosts to reincarnation, before returning to the core room and sitting on the floor. He then started to model the entire palace. Quickly the soul pond dropped from 100% to less than 5% before he quickly stopped.

The progress for the palace stalled at 1%. His eyes burst at the result, then flames lit up in his eyes. He turned towards the ghosts outside the pressure barrier with scorching eyes. He leapt out of the palace and quickly transformed into a dragon. He quickly started igniting all the poor ghosts.

It took several days to completely model the temple, he did not even have spare energy to level up his three new abilities, greatly annoying him. The once ocean of ghosts has now become very sparse, with him having to travel a large distance to find them. After he modeled the palace he took an entire day to rest.

This has probably the hardest he has worked so far in this new life, yet he was very satisfied. He looked at the 3D model presented before him, realizing why it was so hard to map out. Below the palace, was a huge foundation nearly three times as deep. It had no hidden rooms or anything, but was densely filled with various runes and metals that ran throughout it.

This made him realize that this was the real core of the palace. He still understood none of it, but that didn't matter in his mind, because he felt like he picked up a treasure. With the ghosts mostly wiped out, and the palace cleaned of everything useful, he turned towards the throne.

Though he did not understand completely all the runes and stuff, he still had some guesses, for example, the lightning crystal from before was the power supply, yet all guesses point towards this throne being the true control center.

He stared at the man on the throne, he was handsome with black hair, not nearly as handsome as himself though. Yet, he was the only being in this palace that was not a skeleton that was dusted on a single touch. He slowly approached the man, as he reached out and touched the man, his eyes abruptly opened.

Ren jumped back quickly as the man stared fiercely, the surrounding pressure increased tenfold. The titan man then opened his mouth and yelled, "Titans will never bow!" shocking Ren. After the man slowly turned into golden energy and dissipated. After that the whole palace started shaking, as if it was going to collapse.

Ren wasted no time sprinting out of the palace and transforming into a dragon and flying out. With his wings spread, Ren watched as the whole palace started collapsing and turning into dust. He speculated that it was only the will of the man who kept everything together. One thing that Ren noted was that the man spoke in Titanic, yet he could understand what he said.

With heavy thoughts on his mind, Ren left, reaping all the remaining ghosts as he left. He decided that he would find out the way humans advanced soon, so he could get stronger, he vaguely felt a looming sense of crisis.

With his eyes on the horizon, Ren flew back to his lair.
