5 Chapter 4 : The world stopped [3]

After a year of swimming, James managed to reach the USC coast.

He walked through the different countries, sometimes stopping to meditate or admire the landscapes.

He also began to train every day without exception in the different martial arts he had learned but even after several years of practice he felt no improvement.

He felt like he had reached the sunmum of each of the martial arts he had practiced, his muscles and his physical training had also reached their maximum limits.

Now he was training for the simple pleasure of it.

But after more than ten years of traveling, bored by the practice of martial arts, an idea came to his mind.

"Why don't i create my own martial arts?"

He had already mastered more than 43 martial arts, with this in mind, he quickly created a new martial art, inspired by all the techniques he had learned over the years.

He thus continued his journey, while starting new hobbies, such as climbing, sculpture, mechanics, building construction, learning sciences, medicine, the manufacture of poison...

Thus for more than two centuries he traveled all over the world from the desert to Antarctica, from Nippon to the Canfria Union.

He visited all the countries of the world trying countless activities to pass the time, the number of languages he learned reached a terrifying 478.

But finally after visiting all the countries, each big city several times, he was tired.

He finally stopped his trip at a Buddhist monastery in Tibet where he spent his time meditating to avoid losing his mind.

Time passed quickly, James' perception of time seemed to be altered, now a day seemed only an hour to him.

He was training every day in his martial arts, reading books and old documents or spending his time meditating, he had already begun to forget his past and lived only to accomplish his daily routine, sleeping, meditating, training, reading.

He continued like this for two hundred years, but at the end of the 280th year of his stay in the monastery he noticed a strange change.

For the first time in a long time he felt a slight improvement in his physical condition.

This surprised him, no one could better understand his physical fitness than himself.

He was now strong enough to break a stone with his fists his body was at the maximum of what human evolution allowed, it had been several hundred years since he had reached the limits of the human body.

Finally after several days, he stopped thinking about it and continued his routine, but differently from the present days he felt his body was improving day by day.

Although the improvement was small, it still existed, he spent less and less time sleeping and reading, he trained and meditated even more than before.

It seemed that his body and mind had entered a kind of hypnotic trance, improving his concentration and physical strength to a terrifying level.

Time passed again several hundred years passed.

One day after finishing his training completely exhausted, James stood there gawking.

His body emanated a kind of reddish energy, he felt his eyelids become as heavy as lead, he felt like dozing off, but instead he sat down and began to meditate.

The red aura that emanated from him was becoming stronger and stronger, he felt a warmth and well-being like never before his body had felt like it was blending into the nature around him.

He meditated in this way for almost a year before reopening his eyes.

He exhaled a yellowish, greasy mist through his mouth before rising vigorously from the ground.

"My strength..."

Feeling the incredible power contained in his body James could not help but be amazed.

He put himself in a fight posture, then approached a tree with an extremely thick trunk and threw a punch.

*Bang*

His fist struck the tree with extreme violence, piercing the trunk in one blow.

James, stunned, withdrew his arm which had completely gone through the tree trunk.

"How is this possible? What is this energy? How can a human body possess such strength? Where does this energy come from? Is it stored by my cells?"

Countless questions crossed his mind at that moment but he quickly calmed down.

Then he left the outside and went to the monastery.

1 year ... ten years ...one hundred years ...

James was training every day without exception, his perception of the weather had also changed, 1 year was only a week for him.

He studied the energy his body contained scientifically during his last years and came to the following conclusion:

It was bioenergy produced by his cells by absorbing a kind of energy flow from nature.

The movement of the tectonic plates, the temperature, the wind, the waves, all was energy his body seemed to be able to absorb the energy produced by nature and make it its own.

This was completely beyond the understanding of science, it was a purely absurd concept.

What pushed James to go to the side of mysticism, as the internal force of the martial arts, the chakra, the Ki, the magical energy or other fantastic elucubrations.

After several years of training, his body would stop improving, he had reached a new limit.

But when he reached that limit, the red energy he called aura had also reached an incredible level of power.

James then felt a strange sensation.

He felt as if his body was surrounded by a thin transparent layer of aura like energy, which trapped him or rather protected him.

This energy prevented him from magnifying all his aura outside of his body and was so stifling that it became difficult for him to meditate.

He tried to break it by force several times but failed.

Finally, he stopped his physical training and concentrated fully on meditation.

After several years, without doing anything but meditating every day, James suddenly stood up laughing hysterically.

"I understood ha-ha, I finally found a solution ha-ha."

"I understood ha-ha !"
