Killing Goblins

"I really can't believe this, it's like a real life RPG games"

Jin was leaning in a tree while examining his stats. He was thinking how he could heal his right arm so that he could fully unleash his true sword skills.

"Essence point? Maybe this is like an exp point that could help me level up." Jin muttered to himself.

"The system don't have a shop function or any other function. Well, I guess I could only unlock those if I increase my strength or it really doesn't have those."

"And this?" Jin shifted his focus and looked at the "Creature level" in the system.

Creature Level: One star

"One star?... Hmm?.. I guess this is the power level of every creature in this world and One star is the lowest level." Jin frowned looking at this. If that's the case then how many star is the strongest creature or how can he survive if he met those creatures higher level than him.

He didn't need to think much when he saw the "Creature Grade". He already guessed what it is from the novels he read. His power was pretty average one could already see it from the word "Normal" in the Creature Grade.

He shook his head and put those thoughts on the back of his mind. He will think about those things later after he adapt to this world.

"First, I need to find a shelter and then food." Jin said as he started walking forward.

After a few minutes of walking Jin heard a rustling sound in the bushes.

"Hmm?!" He quickly hid behind the tree. Then, he crouched down and slowly moved himself to look where the sound came from.

He found a rabbit with a horn sticking out of it's forehead. He observed it until a semi transparent screen appeared in front of him.

Creature Name: Horned Rabbit

Creature level: Zero star

'What?!! Zero star? There's something lower than the One star creature.' Jin was slightly surprised when he saw the information of the rabbit.

"I guess this will be my dinner for tonight." Jin muttered in a low voice. He was about to charge at the rabbit when he heard a footsteps.

He stop himself at charging and he instead wait for the one who's coming.

The horned rabbit also sense something as it's ears perk up highly and when it was about to leave a rusty axe flew over and hit the rabbit.

Blood spurted out of the horned rabbit's body as the axe almost slice off it's body.

After a few seconds three small humanoid creatures appeared. Their skin is color green and they have bony bodies, long pointed ears. They look savage from the weapon they were holding and the rag clothes wrapped in their bodies.

"Isn't this.... a goblin?" Jin was quite surprise when he saw the goblins.

"They look like just how they are described in books." He muttered in a low voice. He then focused his eyes at the three goblins. Then a semi transparent screen appeared in front of him.

Creature Name: Goblin

Creature Level: One Star

Creature Grade: Normal

'What?!! One star?' Jin exclaimed in his heart when he saw the level of the goblin. The goblin's level was the same as his, One Star. With their thin body they have the stats of a One star creature. It's quite different than what they we're portrayed in books. It said that goblin were one of the weakest monster, much weaker than normal humans, their advantage was only their numbers but when he saw it for real, this goblins were as strong as normal humans.

"I must not underestimate the living beings of this world." Jin muttered to himself. He grip the stick in his palm tightly.

Jin was thinking whether he should attack these goblins or not. He wanted to test their strength in real combat but he was hesitant as the goblins were reeking of blood. There's no doubt that once he reveal himself these goblins would try to kill him. These goblins wouldn't hesitate to kill him.

"I'm in another world, this is not earth!! I will not hesitate anymore!" He whispered to himself. He was in another world and he would be killed by monster if he hesitated.

Jin closed his eyes for a few seconds before he opened it again. There's not a single hesitation in his eyes only determination.

He examined the three goblins. The goblins were wearing a rag clothes and were holding a rusty weapon in their hand. The goblin in the middle was not holding a weapon as its axe was still embedded at the rabbit's body. The goblin in the left was equipped with a rusty sword in its arm while the goblin in the right was holding a short rusty spear.

He picked up a palm size rock and throw it at the goblin with a sword.

Swoosh!!

Thud!!

The palm size rock hit the goblins head. The goblin stumbled backwards as it dropped the rusty sword it was holding. The other two goblins was surprise when they saw a rock hit their comrade.

While they were still distracted Jin took this opportunity and immediately dashed towards the goblin in the middle.

"Raahh!!" The goblin glared at him angrily and went toward the rabbit preparing to pull out the axe. However, Jin didn't let him do that as he jumped and thrust the stick at the goblin.

Puchi!!

The stick pierced through the goblins eye. The goblin fell down on the ground lifelessly.

A message immediately pop up in his head.

[One Star Normal Grade Creature Goblin killed. Ten essence points gained.]

Jin stomp the tip of the handle of the rusty sword causing it to flew in the air. He stretched out his hand and catches the sword before saying, "One down"

The other two goblins looked at him angrily before letting out a roar and rushed at him.

The goblin stabbed his spear towards him.

Jin lifted up the sword and parried the spear before he raised his feet and kick the goblin.

Bam!!

The goblin flew away and crashed in the tree.

Jin instantly changed his target to the other goblin. He slashed his sword aiming at the neck of the goblin.

Puchi!!

Blood spurt out of the goblins neck.

Jin stepped on the goblins head and pulled out his sword. The sword was rusty that it couldn't chop off the goblins neck in one stroke.

Jin turned his attention to the remaining goblin. He grinned before he rushed toward it lifting up his sword before swinging it down towards its neck.

Spurt!!
