Fresh Start

The sun sunk low in the horizon as I awoke in the world of Highland. I had spent all my money and even gave up my body to science just so I could be put into the game and never to return home. I know I will meet some of my friends who are still in the real world with over 90% of the world playing this game. This world would be mine one day but for now I wait.

"Welcome to the world of Highland. Would you like to receive your class." A old man says in front of me after appearing from nowhere.

"I would indeed sir." I say knowing the Ai is exactly like humans with different races as well.

A list appears in front of my vision looking blue while slightly see threw. I see some of the classes but choose the randomize button as it tells me there is no way back.

[DING]!!!

My stats exploded as this went off as my basic 100 HP and 100MP go to the thousands.

Abilities

Constant Slash- You can attack a opponent without becoming tired as long as you hit the opponent at least once.

Light sword- the sword you wield becomes light as a feathers and cancels all negative effects by the sword.

Growth of the land-A spell that grows all plants and minerals at 20x speed for a five mile radius.

Translation maxed- you can understand and talk all languages unlike other level of translation.

Flame wave- a giant wave of fire burns all in its path.

Waters luck- you can breath underwater and chances for rare items go up to 50%.

Sword of god- while god does not believe in violence demon will try to corrupt his world as such all demon you fight will allow to summon gods sword to fight on his behalf.

Insight-while in this world most can only see level of bosses and monsters or players up to five levels higher this skill allows you so see all levels.

I was in shock and looked up at the man in front of me. he had vanished but where he had stood there was a black sword that seemed black as the void itself. I pickup the sword for a small message to appear.

[DING]!!!

Gift from the god of shadows.

The sword of the void- all attacks blocked by this sword resolve all damage to zero. Level up by shadow fragments.

Level 1/20- damage 300. Power to create shadows sphere around the user that tracks the nearest enemy within one mile last five minutes. At night the shadows will bend to your will hiding you from sight of you wish.

This was insane. This game had been out for a few years but now I could start from fresh but like this. This was insane. I looked around to see I was under the only tree as I could just barley see a town north with only grass lands around me. I started to make my way towards the town and started notice just how big this world was. Everywhere I look I saw something. Three wolves were laying down not too far off as a small group of goblins made their way around them.

I started spinning my sword around in my hand as it was long and thin but also seemed very strong. I saw some goblins about five of them in front of me so I charged at them noticing how fast I was. They were level five but I slashed through each of them without stopping noticing one hit was all it took as the sword cut through them like melted butter. Each of them dropped a silver coin and some small crooked daggers. I picked them up think I might melt them down for something in the future. I spin my sword around putting it into the sword sheath on my back.

I walk up to the small gate as the guards open. When I walk inside the walls the guards wave at me and continue to talk. So many people where here. I looked around to see group of players all level twenty. While you could bring your old account to this knew version you kept all your loot but lost all skills and abilities with some being replaced but you got sent back to level one. if only they knew I was level one and had better stats. I wonder the stone and dirt streets to find the guild. I see a large building with a porch in front so I enter as the sign does say guild.

The room is alive with players with some NPCs behind the desk main desk with a board with quests all over it. I walk over to the desk waiting for the person in front of me to finish.

"Hello sir what can I help with." A young lady behind the desk asks.

"I would like to register for the guild." I ask

"Will you please place young hand on the stone tablet next to you." She say pointing at it.

I place my hand on it as it fills with check marks.

"You are permitted to join here is your pin and feel free to take a quest from the board." She say handing me a silver pin.

The guild system worked easily but also complex in a strange way. The ranks started at bronze,silver,gold, diamond, legend then the highest of them all Void.

I walked over to the board to grab a quest saying it was for diamond adventurers but I grabbed it anyways knowing it would be easy most likely. I walk around town and buy a black cloak and some arm armor. I'm about to make my way out of town as two people shout after me. They are each level thirty and well armored.

"We saw you take the quest for diamond but your only silver so we thought since we're diamond we might help you out." The girl says as the guy stands there smiling almost creepily.

"I don't really need help but if you feel like it why not it might be fun." I say as they shake hands with me.

"Okay we leave right away then." They say hurriedly.

As such we leave out the town as I start putting a plane together.
