Najja lived a poor, simple, quiet, life on his family's farm in the lower region of Egypt. One day his happy life came to an end. The goddess of death, Anubis, appears before him to end his existence. On the verge of death he is suddenly taken over by a mysterious power that gives him the powers of a god. A voice in his head says that he is the one that was supposed to be on the throne of egypt: Not the current pharGod. Najja travels to the pharaohs palace to learn his true origin.
