10 You can't have her, she's mine.

"Hey! Open up this door this instant Isabelle!" Loud banging pulled Charity out of her sleep, "Isabelle!" The aggressive voice growled out from outside and Charity's eyes widened in realization, Isabelle? Shit. Jumping out of bed she ran to her window, the sun was already up just how long was she asleep? Pushing the window open she threw one leg over the window sill and began to climb down the pipe to the ground floor. Jumping down as softly as she could she began to run towards the other street. No shoes. no phone in nothing but shorts and a big shirt. Damn it she should have grabbed her bra at least, it was uncomfortable running without one.

"There she is!" The man yelled and her head whipped around briefly to see it wasn't just one debtor that chased her, shit shit shit! She cursed.

It was a good thing that she didn't wait to grab anything, they would have caught her that way.

Heavy and desperate huffs left her lips as she ran into the main road, what should she do? Where should she go? She ran past unassuming people on the street and if she didn't get out of the way soon the cops would be there. Who wouldn't call the cops if they saw a woman in pyjamas running down the street like a crazy woman?

But her fast steps came to a screeching halt the moment she saw another familiar face in front of her. "Well, well seems you didn't borrow money from only me Dawn" an angry man with a few men behind him stepped up to her.

Charity looked behind her at the people screaming her fake alias' and forward to the angry men holding metal bars and looking like all forms of danger. There was no question here, in that instant when they thought they had her trapped she dashed into the road, if you asked Charity why she did that later she wouldn't be able to differentiate if she was just ready to die or hoping she might be lucky and escape through that busy road.

But she was not that lucky, but she was lucky enough that the car that hit her was quick enough that the only thing that happened was her falling to the floor, hard enough to bruise her arm. Before she had the chance to gather her bearings the was a rough calloused palm wrapped around her upper arm pulling her up, before she had the chance to react the force of the blow had her going to the floor all over again.

"You bitch! You were trying to run away?" The man from before her said raising his hand to hit her again, Charity raised her arm to block his blow but it never came, instead, she saw him fly to the ground.

"How dare you hit a woman?"

Charity's eyes flew to the person that just spoke and her lips parted in shock, it was him! Absalom looked down at her and met her gaze, his eyes narrowing as his jaw become rigid when he saw the blood beside her lip. "Who the hell are you?!" The man yelled, getting up to launch another attack but Absalom kicked him away again. Standing between the man and Charity, he sighed when he looked back at her heavy breathing. It was a surprising thing to him to see the girl he had been looking for the past week right before his car, he didn't recognize her at first but the moment he saw that fiery red he knew, it had to be her. Imagine his shock when saw her get beat up right in front of him?

"Are you okay?" He asked and an instinctive smile graced his lips at the sarcastic look she replied with.

"Look we don't want to fight with you, give us the girl and we would be on our way" another of Charity's pursuers started walking over to Absalom, whose driver was already approaching with lethal force in his eyes.

Charity got up and positioned herself, properly and safely behind Absalom's big frame, looking out from his side at her trouble.

"This girl? Sorry, I can't do that, I won't let you hurt her" Absalom said "ow!"

Everyone looked at him in shock after he exclaimed, he looked back at her where her two fingers just pinched him. "What are you doing?!" She exclaimed through the whisper, "you don't have to do this for me, there are only two of you and about-" she looked away to count "nine of them. You are going to get hurt, no matter how good of a fighter you think you are."

Absalom tilted his head at the small woman scolding him in amusement, what did she think was going to happen? "Why are you smiling? Oh my goodness, hey!" She screamed and Absalom quickly turned around and caught the wooden plank that was currently directed at his head.

Punching the guy's stomach he spun around and stepped backwards pushing the guy away and pushing him up and over his shoulders, Charity watched in shock as the man was air bound for a few seconds before he hit the ground hard.

"You should go into the car, there are nine men here, and I only have two eyes," Absalom said looking at her. But she shook her head and stepped backwards watching him and his driver annihilate her debtors, there was no way this could be happening right? Charity watched, this was not a movie e and they weren't trying to make the male lead look good so how was it so possible that he could be this good? Eventually, he got trapped fighting two men at once and since he had only two eyes and none at the back of his head he didn't notice the third approaching him.

The only thing Absalom heard was the groan of a man and when he was able to turn around he saw the most amusing thing yet, that small redhead, smacking him with his weapon as hard as she could. "I am so sorry" a hard thump, "so sorry" another thump. "I told you I was going to pay you soon why wouldn't you just believe me?" Thump, thump.
