2 Dragus Eyman

A fine woman indeed she is, craved by all men throughout the kingdom yet ravaged only by one. At the quarters of the Royal King of Dragon Kingdom. The room slightly scented with rich perfumes. Red silky curtains all around the walls. Shining tiles of gold and diamond throughout the floor. An unusually large bed with smooth red silk bed sheets. A large golden-plated mirror at each side of the bed and the glass chandelier full of lit candles hang on the ceiling. Truly, an extravagant room befitting a royal.

However, Such things were of no concern to the king. For tonight and the nights before the king had only one thing in mind! To spend his lovely time ravaging such beauty! No one else but he has the right to do so! That is what he believes.

Perky breasts with a touch of jewellery on her red nipples. A gemstone necklace of ever-changing colour on her white long neck. Eyes the colour of the ocean, Long silver hair reaching all the way to her bosom. Her figure tall but yet her waist small and her figure real and robust. A tad of baby fat on both cheeks made her more charming and attractive.

" My king.." she paused. She seemed to hesitate as she pursed her lips. " Why do you always send for me? When I am but just one of the many concubines in your Royal Palace."

The mighty dragon king. Tales of his battles, adventures and conquests are still sung at tarvans and lodgings. Aye! A just king he was in his younger days but now lost in his palace. A shell of what he was before. His golden hair is all but white now, His broad and strong muscles are nowhere to be seen instead fat belly took its place. His blue eyes have lost its vigour and passion. Who would believe this man is hailed as the dragon slayer!

" Hush my dear... Such silly questions. Come let us enjoy this wonderful night." His voice grating and unpleasant to the ear.

Under the rainy sky, the king had his way with the beautiful concubine. Not long after both lay in bed covered underneath the cold silk bed sheets.

The king panting and breathing heavily but as for the woman, her face is that of utter disappointment.

" This old man can plant no more seeds. Such a disappointment." She thought to herself as she awoke from the bed. She wore her white gown and tightened it from the waist.

She walked up to the mirror and grabbed the wine glass and jar.

" Aye, Red wine.. my love how thoughtful." He said.

She smiled as she filled the wine glass. However, that was not all she had added to the glass. Sneakily she removed a small flask with a green fluid from her gown and made sure to pour every drop of it into the wine glass.

" Come sit your majesty, I have brought you wine." her smile was bewitching.

" Your days are numbered, old man. With such a strong poison the likes of it never seen before. you shall suffer as you moan in pain and agony. It will torture you then take away your life such is the green poison." she thought to herself as the king gulped down the wine.

" One more glass." He said.

She hesitated." But your majesty we must watch for your health."

His face twitched and seemed agitated." Fill the damn glass woman."

Shortly after the king fell into sleep unknown of his pending doom. The worse was yet to come so, for now, he was having a pleasant dream perhaps of his younger days.

The silver-haired women exited the room and as always the two heavily armoured guards on either side of the door bowed as she passed by them.

At this hour most of the maids and royals have long since called it a day and are in deep sleep by now. The palace was empty except for the heavily armoured guards which stood in every corner of the palace. She hastened her step and quickly went to the concubines quarter. Her room was well lavish not as extravagant as the king but nonetheless.

She took a quill and paper. She wrote ' The Dragon Shall Sleep Forever ' She folded the piece of paper and tied it into the leg of her white pigeon and let it free through her windows.

She was unusually calm for someone who was about to shake the very kingdom to its core. She took a deep breath and said." I like the rain."

Meanwhile at the living district of the peasants. The bar of Shanin, where Rage had been offered work by the young boy Hanad.

The bar still noisy and wild. Touches of laughter and cries, dance and drinking, gambles and coins such were what men sought after a day of hard work.

"What is it that guides a nation to prosperity? Can anyone here answer that?" shouted an old man.

He stood atop one of the many tables that were in the bar. He was wobbly as he swayed right to left- nonetheless, he didn't fall. It was an amusing sight for the rest of the people that were in the bar.

The bar had a simple design with the counter right at the end, and behind it sat a grumpy and wrinkly old lady. Blazing candles were stuck on both sides of the wall. The bar was famous and well known by both peasant and lower class nobles. " Whatever you need? The bar of Shanin has it." it's a common saying in this district.

" I say it's the king. It is he who leads the nation." said one of the many peasants that filled the bar.

Smoking tobacco is a famous thing in Dragon kingdom. Almost every man in the bar had a mug full of ale in his hand and a tobacco pipe stuck in their mouth, forming rings of clouds of smoke.

The old man drank a mouthful of the ale and shouted," Wrong!". He wore dark heavy leather clothes, a mesmerising rapier with a unique hilt tied to his belt.

Another man shouted from the other end of the bar, "it's the people! Without them, the nation surely will crumble." Everyone started nodding seemingly agreeing with what the man had just said.

" Wrong!" shouted the old man again. He said." Fools! each one of you. War! War! War! is what leads a nation to prosperity. To the east past the territory of Archduke Awalin, the clans of the land of Punt have bent the knee and unified under the banner of Queen Arawela. To the north lies the Red Sea, no man has ever returned from it. To the west past the territory of Archduke Bartholomew lies the Forest of Weja. To the south lies the Academy Of Sultan and the Cathedral. We need to wage war!"

Rage was already in the bar being led by Hanad the young boy. They witnessed all the fiasco that sprouted out of the old man's mouth.

" Don't mind him. Old man Ryu has lost touch with reality ever since he came back from the war," said Hanad.

Rage nodded half-heartedly as if he didn't care what the old man was sprouting. His face showed no emotion as his dishevelled muddy hair covered the soulless eyes of his. However, as he gazed at Old man Ryu, strangely enough, he was feeling a sense of familiarity with him. Both men are labelled crazy by society. Both turned to alcohol for their grief and lost their families and closed ones.

"Is this world fair?" Rage often asked himself this question.

One more gulp from his gourd, He raised it high but only a few drops of the alcohol fell on his dried white tongue." Finished! already." He said Old man Ryu.

Ale was as valuable as his life so when he ran out he couldn't help but be worried and agitated. He searched his pockets for coins and whatnot but of course, this is a man who owes money to almost everyone around town. His pockets full of holes, there is not a single coin in there.

He saw Hanad from the corner of his eye then suddenly the old man became excited. " The heavens have not yet abandoned me."

The old man forgot where he stood for a second and 'Baam' down he fell on top of one of the barmaids. The drinks and food fell on a customer. A huge chain of reaction occurred where one thing led to the other and finally, the whole bar got into an abrupt and sudden fight. Chair and tables flying from one end to the other, Curses and fist thrown around.

" This is what happens to everywhere I go chaos! chaos! chaos!" Rage couldn't help but blame himself.

Hanad couldn't help but smile wryly. " It is best not to anger the owner." Hanad shouted as he tried to stop the fighting but 'PAAH' A fist had landed on his face. Blood trickled down from his nose.

Rage run and tried to help Hanad to his feet but 'PAAH' fists and kicks started landing on him. He quickly changed his positions so that he could protect the young boy from any harm.

" What are you fools doing in my bar?" A harsh voice of a female resounded in the bar. A pure killing intent sending shivers down to everyone that was in the bar. Some even fainted. It was as if death itself was whispering to them.

" Run! Run! Run! Grandma Shanina has awoken." People started dashing towards the exit and within a few seconds, the bar was empty. Rage the misfortune man, the eccentric old man, Hanad the young boy and the old wrinkled lady that sat behind the counter are the only ones left.

" Why did you protect me? Why? You're already wounded bad enough." Tears rolled down his cheek.

" A man does not cry in front of others." Rage said his voice deep and pleasant to the ear.

The young boy nodded and wiped away his tears. Rage stood up and almost fell down. His head is aching and felt dizzy. An unusual gourd lay right beneath his feet, He picked it up and gave it to the old man. " I believe this belongs to you ser."

" Aye brave one," the old man said. He smiled however, such ugly yellow teeth would put anyone off the mood but Rage smiled back.

" So you are the one who is recommended for the job. A tad too skinny boy! When was the last time you ate a decent meal? Freshen up and change your clothes. Hanad is going to guide you to the bathroom. You shall start the job tonight...Aye, the most shameful job ever!" Said Shanina as she eyed Rage from head to toe analysing every single thing about him.

Hanad rejoiced When he extended his hand to Rage for another chance at life. He wasn't sure if grandma Shanina would accept him for she was a tough person to please.

" I shall tell you about the details when you come back," said Shanina. She closed her eyes and went right back to sleep.

Rage bewildered by her actions but still followed Hanad as he guided him to the bathroom.

Meanwhile at the Noble District, Twenty minutes away by horse ride from the living district.

The roads were different from that of the living district which was made of wood. This was of stones well carved and paved with plants and flowers of all kind growing on both sides.

Water splashed with every drop from the night sky that hit the ground and each hoof of the knightswatch horses that galloped on them.

"My lady. Would you care to tell us which of the noble villas your call home?" asked Williams.

The noble district is a huge piece of land in the capital where all the noble families, both the lesser and the major families live. Seven massive villas for the seven major families and small villas for the rest.

" We hail from house Constantine of the seven major families." Answered one of the girls in a sweet attractive voice.

Ser Williams shocked at the origin of the ladies but astonished as to why would such a distinguished lady from the seven major families enjoy her time in a common bar? He was suspicious but didn't question them for he knew not to anger one of the seven major families especially those of house Constantine for they were the blade in the dark of the Royal house, Assassinating those whom the king wished to.

"At once, My lady." He said. His voice is submissive and full of reverence.
