Chapter 3 : I'm not disappointed

Entering the truck, James saw a number of children close to his age.

With the lowest being 10 yrs. old , well apparently it's just in this neighborhood cause as far as he knows it can even be a newborn who develops powers.

The truck was pretty spacious tho, with only 12 of them on it.

Among the 12 of them only 2 have awakened their powers. So the those two awakened have been isolated by the remaining 10. He also did not get close, considering his friend Jeff who can spit acid, he'd rather not take the risk.

A soldier then got in, who is probably gonna serve as the driver, while the scarface man rode on another vehicle.

And with that the truck started moving....

Along the way there hadn't been any problems and they periodically take stops to rest and eat.

And as he was not good at communicating with his peers, he just sat on the corner minding his own business.

The two sides awakened are still sleeping, maybe due to a sedative they injected beforehand or some other reason, so they where still at ease even though those 2 have the ability to hurt people

They reached a military base after a day of travel.

The base was fairly huge with complete facilities and there was hundreds of armed guards on standby.

The 2 awakened where already taken before them, so right now there's only 10 of them in the group.

Upon getting off the vehicle, they where escorted by a mature woman on the lead and a couple of soldiers. The young woman was wearing a tight military uniform in which the shape of her toned body was apparent.

With a smile in her face, she led the kids to a building A-1 in which they conduct test to determine the type and level of powers manifested by this kids.

After entering the building they went to find room 214 and stopped at a door with a name plate reading [Dr.Zweitt].

James was expecting their batches

turn to take a while but apparently a good part of the rooms in building

A-1 was for testing purposes.

So they all lined up with him being second last in the group.

As James was waiting for his turn he cant help but look at the expressions of the kids after him.

All of them looked like mental patients and look like they where in Pain after they went out of Dr.Zweitts room. So he cant help but feel anxious.

Seeing that there were only 1 more guy after him, he mustered his courage to talk to the guys that where finished. Coincidentally he went for the first guy who went in.

" Hello dude, my name's James Kraft" and after that extends his arms to shake hands.

Seeing this the slightly recovered guy answered

" Im Zack" with a simple answer he also extended his hands and shook hands.

Seeing that he got Zacks attention he proceeded asking him questions.

" What exactly do we do in that room?"

Hearing this question, he started remembering that painful sensation before...

But he still answered.

" You're gonna go into a world of pain once you get there"

Hearing this answer, James wanted to hear a more precise one, but after several tries Zack remained still and he can even see a slight smile on his face.

He wanted to try one more time but an attendant called for the next child to test, which was him ofcourse.

The last guy also saw the conditions of the people after him so he pointed his finger at Zack to the attendant.

Seeing this, he had no choice and reluctantly went inside.

Seeing James figure enter room 214 , Zacks smile grew wide, apparently he finds joy at the suffering of others.

Entering the room led by the attendant. He saw an armchair , a weird ball with some blue energy inside some computers and medical equipments, a CT-Scan looking device and a bald-man in glasses withs a grey beard.

Seeing the next subject enter, he put on a professional smile and explained to James the process.

After hearing the process, James thought that It wasn't as exaggerated as he thought.

So basically he just have to lay in that CT-Scan machine for the first step.

After laying in the machine he suddenly felt nervous going into that little hole.

Once inside a wave of energy was generated by the machine which was almost like the energy that swept pass his body when the outbreak occurred.

But this was just all in his head, In reality the machine just produces waves that stimulate the unknown energy.

After sometime he felt as if his bones where cracking and his muscles tearing and reforming.

"Gahhhghha"

He gritted his teeth trough out the whole process and lost consciousness.

After-awhile he found himself in an armchair.

He opened his eyes and saw Dr.Zweitt, with that creepy smile still plastered at his face.

(Was he smiling the whole time I was being tortured? )He thought inwardly.

As he regained a bit of mobility he found that his body has developed and is healthier than before.

He found a mirror on the corner, and look at his already handsome face level up.

In reality though It didn't really change much just that his skin became a healthy white instead of pale white.

After some time of getting adjusted to his improved body, Dr.Zweitt asked to follow him near the crystal ball.

As they got near the Crystal, James got to see clearly the swirling blue energy in the ball.

Dr.Zweitt already explained to him its function before, so he already know what he had to do.

He carefully placed his hand on the crystal ball.

Once he placed his hand he could feel a strong suction force that was sucking him dry of the energy he just recovered.

The energy in the crystal ball turned from blue to green.

As he recalled

Orange- 15 -20

Red- 10-14

Yellow- 7-9

Blue- 4-6

Green - 1-3

The values indicate ability power with green being the weakest.

This chart is also subject to change since they believe some people have above 20 power level.

As he saw this he was a not disappointed.
