37 This is Star Wars

"Star Wars? What's that?" Ben Grim asked.

"Sir, you've never seen Star Wars," Ned was flummoxed who had never heard of it.

"There was a movie called Star Wars when I was kid," Ben said.

"Yes, that's it, sir!" Ned nearly jumped at him. Ben looked around.

"You're saying we're in a movie?" Ben asked.

"No, sir, I mean we're in Star Wars!" Ned said.

"You talkin' about all that fightin' in space?" Ben asked. Ned's mouth hung open like his brain was processing.

"I think what the kid is saying is we're in like the Star Wars universe," Armando added.

"You mean we ain't in our universe?" Ben asked Ned.

"I don't know about that, but at the very least we aren't in our galaxy. Star Wars happened a long time ago in a galaxy far far away," Ned responded.

"You're saying we time-traveled and came to some new galaxy?" Ben asked.

"I don't know, sir," Ned responded. Ben was getting annoyed.

"Ned, why not start from the beginning," Mary Jane suggested the living brick.

"Yes, Ned, start from the beginning, explain everything in detail," Gwen encouraged him. Ben continued to look at Ned and waited for his explanation.

"Okay, I've been noticing some things since we first arrived. When we were in space, some of the ships that were fighting kind of looked like ships from Star Wars.

We landed on the planet and some robots looked similar to droids from Star Wars. I saw some that kind of reminded me astromechs, protocol droids, and medical droids. Everything was familiar but different," Ne stopped to consider his next words.

"You're saying kind of similar, but you seem pretty confident now that we're in the Star Wars world," Armando said.

"Yes, sir, it's because I noticed that Lord of Forward Running and Croaking Pigeon Young Prince shared characteristics of Jedi.

Look, he pointed at the two men who were nearby and listening, along with Dawn-Flower who whispered what she understood they were saying.

I noticed that Croaking Pigeon Young Prince even has a braid on the side of his head like Padawan learners," Ned pointed at Croaking Pigeon Young Prince. Everyone in the group turned to look at him, even Dawn Flower and Lord of Forward Running looked at him and the braided lock on the side of his head.

"Okay," Ben seemed more on board with what Ned was thinking.

"The last thing I saw made me really confident," Ned looked at everyone as the twinkle of a sparkling light of a lifelong Star Wars nerd emitted from his eyes. Ned pointed at a tube dangling from Lord of Forward Running's belt.

"Doesn't that look like a lightsaber?!" Ned asked.

"Oh my gost, this is Star Wars!" Gwen yelled.

"Is that a real lightsaber?" Armando asked.

Ben looked at Ned, "Is this what you went to ask about?"

"Yes, I asked him about everything. I asked him if he was a Jedi, and he said he was. I asked if Croaking Pigeon Young Prince was a Padawan, and he said that he was. I asked about all sorts of things regarding Star Wars. There are some differences from what I know from the movies and the books, but the core is there," Ned said.

"What are the differences?" Armando asked.

"First, I asked him if he knew of a Jedi called Luke Skywalker and his father Darth Vader. He told me that there was no one by that name today, but about one thousand years ago, there was a Darth Vader, who was a fallen Jedi and Sith Lord. He was defeated by someone called Luke Starkiller. Luke and Vader weren't father and son, Leia wasn't his sister. There wasn't a mention of Han Solo, but given this was a thousand years ago there are probably some holes in the history.

Luke and his sister, Otera Brinna fought and killed Emperor Nabu. Luke died in the battle, but his sister became a powerful Jedi Queen. The Sith and the Jedi continue to battle. The battle we're in right now is between Sith and Jedi forces. Like I said, we're in Star Wars. Maybe George Lucas didn't make the whole thing up, maybe, somehow he knew about the wars in this galaxy and made movies about it," Ned theorized.

"That's crazy," Ben said.

"It's even crazier than that. After talking with the Jedi master, George Lucas' version of the Force, Jedi, and Sith, are much weaker than they actually are. He said, powerful force users can lift mountains and split seas..." Ned didn't go on.

"This means we have an even more urgent need to find stretcho and get back to our home," Ben said.

Loud shouting and the sound of blasters being fired along with crashing trees erupted from the nearby forest.

"Siiiiiith!" a man shouted over the din of noise.
