44 Signal

During the hyperspace journey to Hokshan, where they would join the Bounty Hunter Guild, Bruce, and Karima updated and changed everyone's battle suits to something fitting as bounty hunter armor. Batman decided that all of the suits would be Bat-themed, of course.

The armor Batman wore had few ascetic alterations, but he added new technology to it. He also equipped himself with a BX1-WYNtech Blaster. This was Batman's personally designed blaster, but he thought of selling them to earn money. It was a non-lethal blaster that detected strength levels of organic targets and auto-set the stun. It could be used to blast apart things. The blasters the others carried were some variation of the BX1 WYNtech Blaster.

Omega Sentinel wore black, grey, and yellow bat-themed armor. Her armor had dozens of octoarms that could transform from blasters, shield projectors, or tools. All of the helmets had the bat "ears" like Batman's armor. These ears contained complex communication, scanning, and hacking equipment.

The Human Torch wore dark red and blue armor with ports on his gauntlet to release his flames or concentrated lasers. He could fly using a faux jetpack with a missile launcher. His cape looked like it was on fire. When he fully activated his power, he looked like a demon bat from hell.

Iceman's armor was a deep blue almost black armor mounted with freeze rays, and his cape looked like flowing icicles.

The Hulk was the most intimidating of them all. Standing at 7'6" tall his massive frame hosts numerous weapons. On his right arm is a Megatron-style blaster that can penetrate starship armor. He has four massive octoarms that can match his physical body in strength. On his right shoulder armor piece is "Hulk" written in large Basic characters, while on his level "Smash" is also written in large Basic characters.

The chest armor was big enough, so Batman created pictorials that represented some of his most famous battles including when he took Loki and smashed him into the grand with the words "puny god" written.

He also sported bolts as thick as a man's torso that he could throw. Each bole was made of adamantium. Speak of adamantium, a single adamantium blade could extend from each of his gloves. An adamantium knife, that looked like a sword, was in the side of each of his boots. A large seven-foot-long sword was attached to his back. Finally, his helmet looked handcrafted and a large ferocious grinning mouth with real-looking teeth and bright red eyes and bat ears sat upon his head.

The final bat-themed armor was Darwin's. Batman told him that since he chose to use his codename as his fake persona, they would need a new bounty hunter codename. Batman chose "Signal" in honor of his only metahuman sidekick from the "old country," as he called it.

The Signal outfit was yellow, black, and white without a cape. It incorporated the full use of Starman's cosmic Rod, but it was more powerful. His armor had twelve cosmic pins powering it. He could fly, have super strength, fire energy beams, and create constructs. The other aspect of his suit utilized phantom-shadow technology. With it, he could disappear, create shadows, create shadow constructs (mostly by changing the color of the yellow constructs from the cosmic pins), and stealth mode which erased all sound, presence, and visible elements. Batman called his battlesuit the "Sith Hunter." Darwin's absence in the force made him the perfect operative behind enemy lines. When not in stealth mode, Sith could detect his technology through the force.

They called themselves the Dark Knights. A unique collection of fearsome warriors. Batman created such amazing armor to hide their mutant abilities. This would give them a surprise factor if they were ever captured, or in an untenable situation.

This wasn't the only surprise. Batman, Dr. Nemesis, and Omega Sentinel made their ship have a regular heavy freighter mode and the Bounty Hunter Mode. The regular name of the cargo ship was "Bargain Bay," While the bounty mode was called the "Nosferatu." Their transponder codes were different. The two starships in the small hangar bay were called the "Batwings."

The differences between the two versions of the ships were as different as night and day. The Nosferatu looked like a devilish beast with shadow-cloaking technology, and cannons that were ten times more powerful than they looked. The Shields could deflect Heavy Capital ships.

There were a few vehicles the ship didn't have, but adding too many more would strain the storage space of the ship. If they wanted to add more ships and vehicles, they would need a bigger ship, which they couldn't afford.

Batman included a danger room on the ship for training. During the time they were traveling to Hokshan, they used the danger room to get used to their gear and learn to work together as a team.

When the Nosferatu landed on Hokshan at Dollan Star Port, it couldn't help but draw the eyes of everyone present. Its dark sleek hull and armaments made many sweet at the idea of facing such a heavy frigate in battle.

If the ship was intimidating, then the six demon-like figures descend the crew ramp was terrifying!
