11 Pandair

"Nice to meet you, Luna. So, what are you doing here by yourself? If you want you can join us, we will continue to walk around and see the rest of the festival." for Dean, it was all the better if there were more people.

"I am waiting for my parents. My mother was supposed to look after this place and introduce the plant she discovered. But she had to leave after my father, so he wouldn't cause trouble or annoy anyone."

"What does your father do exactly?" Daphne was intrigued by the idea of a wife going after her husband, just so he wouldn't cause trouble.

"He is an editor in 'The Quibbler', have you ever read it?" Luna asked hopefully. Even though her father was different from most people he was good at his job and she wanted to hear compliments about him.

"No, not really" All of them shook their heads in response. "But he sounds like an interesting person, I would like to meet him as well." Dean added after he saw Luna getting disappointed.

"Actually, they are already coming back." Luna pointed at the two people that were coming their way, one woman and one man.

The woman in front gave the impression of a mother that caught his son while he was doing something bad, berating him while taking him home forcefully. As for the man behind her, he didn't really know what to think. He was, how to say, a bit eccentric. He wore weird clothes and all, but he looked like it wouldn't be boring to be around someone like him.

As they walked closer, women changed her expression to a friendly smile and said, "Hello kids and welcome. I'm sorry that I wasn't here when I'm supposed to." She gave her husband a glare before continued "I'm Pandora and he is my husband Xenophilius. I assume you already met my daughter Luna. Luna, did you perhaps give some information to them?"

"I was about to, but before I could, little girl touched the bubble of air and her big brother panicked a little wondering if it was alright." Luna explained what happened shortly in their absence.

"No no, It's completely fine. When I discovered this plant I have done everything to make sure it is harmless. I decided to name it 'Pandair', I know it is a bit simple but it should do the work. Currently, I am using its flowers to produce potions that let you breathe underwater. Even though there are alternatives to it, all of them are with a time limit. My aim is to create a more permanent effect in the future." Pandora explained with a single breath, she seems to like what she does and she was proud of it.

"You mean it is similar to Gillyweed?" Dean remembered reading it about in one of the books. 'It should provide the ability to breathe underwater as well.'

"Oh, wow. You know what Gillyweed is, it is rare considering your age. Perhaps you are interested in herbology? As for your question, yes, it has some similarities. But my potion doesn't cause any changes to the body and its duration is almost double." Both Pandora and Xenophilius were surprised, it was indeed a rare sight to see a kid making a conversation about herbology.

"I don't know if I can call it interest, maybe more like a necessity. I wanted to study before I was admitted to Hogwarts and herbology was one of the subjects I am allowed to study, since it doesn't really require actual spellcasting."

Pandora looked at her husband first then her daughter, "Maybe, we should start educating Luna as well."

"Well, don't look at me. Herbology is your field of expertise." Xenophilius gave her daughter a look of apology.

'Did I just cause her parents to make her study herbology? Luna, we will remember your sacrifice.' Dean joined Xenophilius and looked at Luna too. Luna was unaware of these looks or what her mother was planning for her.

Just as their conversation was just about to take a weird turn, Helen came to join the conversation when she saw her old friend. "Pandora you shouldn't take Dean as an example. He wanted to learn magic, so we put a condition for him to fulfill to prove himself that he is ready. Also, we all know how bad you are at teaching, don't force Luna if she doesn't want to."

"Hey, I'm not that bad at it." Pandora turned around to see Helen smiling. "Long time no see."
