9 Magical Water Plants Festival

November, 1987

"Deeeeaaaan!" Daphne was yelling while running at the direction of Dean's room.

As the sound of her yell was getting closer to him, Dean slowly raised his head and stretched. He was just studying the 4th-year Herbology book that he just started a month ago. He wasn't really getting anywhere with it. It was really boring to just memorize all the plants and what they were used for. Since Daphne was calling for him, he was expecting to take a break from it.

Daphne opened the door without even knocking and he saw her waving the daily prophet in her hand, 'She must have seen something interesting that she wanted to show me.'

"Dean, just take a look at this." She showed the bottom part of it, where there is an article about a festival. 'Magical Waterplants Festival' it was written with capital letters. It explained how it will be hosted for the second time and adviced the readers to attend it this month.

Even though they had their own greenhouse that their family used to grow some herbs and plants, it was small and couldn't really be used as a studying place for plants, especially water-based ones.

"So you wanna go there?" asked Dean just to get a few hurried nods from Daphne. "Well, it would be nice to have a change and enjoy the festival. It can also be helpful in my herbology studies. I wouldn't really get a better chance to be able to see some water plants. But why ask me instead of our parents?"

"I wanted to go there with you. Before I ask for permission, I wanted to make sure you wanna go too." She was waiting for his answer. Although he expressed his interest, she wanted him to agree, so they could go together.

"Alright, I wanna go too. I will talk to our parents, so they can take us there." It wasn't like he had a better plan so why not just go and see this festival.

As soon as the words left his mouth, he felt a soft kiss on his cheek, "Yay, you are the best. Let's go see my mom." She just couldn't stay still and dragged him with her out of the room.

It was decided that Helen and Evelyn will accompany kids to the festival. Once they arrived at their destination, they used a portkey that will take them to the place the festival was taking place.

The first thing Dean realized was them being underwater. There was a barrier holding back the water, so they could enjoy the beauty of being underwater while getting the chance to observe the water plants. There were lots of different sized bubbles created by barriers. It was structured so that every bubble was connected to the main area and each of these bubbles hosted different groups of plants that were being showcased.

"Wow, this place looks really good. I'm glad that we came here." he was impressed.

"Right, you should be thanking me." Daphne was proud of herself for finding this amazing event, she wanted to be praised for it, especially by Dean.

"Yes, yes. I will be sure to reward you later." He patted her head with affection.

"Don't forget about me, I want to be patted too!" Astoria came between them and pointed at her head.

After the patting session is ended, " Let's start taking a look around, it seems like there is a lot to be explored.", he suggested. With Astoria between them, they held each other's hand while they started their little adventure.

"They grow so fast, don't they?" Evelyn voiced her thoughts, she couldn't believe both of her daughters were already at the age of 7 and 5 respectively.

"Yes, you are right. They indeed grow so fast." Helen kept looking at her son. "Dean's been spending more and more time studying, this will be a nice change for him. He needs to enjoy more of being a kid, it sometimes worries me. I miss the times when he depended on me for everything."

"Maybe you should start working on having your second child, that way you can enjoy having a baby that depends on you, hehe." Evelyn continued teasing her while they followed after the kids. Since Dean and Daphne will start attending Hogwarts in 4 years, they wanted to give them a little space, so they can be a bit more independent when the time comes.
