1 parallel world

my name is Ken . I lived in modern Japan and was an average high school student like any other . I just loved baseball very much but didnt have talent for it . but I didnt give up playing and worked hard . I even chose to attend a high school famous for strong baseball team . I was depressed because during 3 years of my high school , I didnt get a chance to play in an official match.

I cursed my luck I dont know how many times but never stopped practice . on the last school trip of high school , my class went to mountains for hiking . when we had climbed up really high , a student tripped and was going to fall down. I pulled him back but from the recoil fell down myself .

but this experience proved was the best thing that could happen to me . when I was falling down , I couldn't see the bottom so closed my eyes to wait for my doom .

but when I opened my eyes , i found myself in a hospital bed . I was confused because I couldn't possible survive the fall from such height . just when I was going to get up , sharp pain assaulted my head .

after the pain , honestly I didnt know how to react . I was so happy that didnt know whether to laugh or cry . I was happy because I got to know that now I was in a different world where baseball was the most popular sport . I was happy because I didnt die and even woke up in a world that was perfect for me .

with the sharp pain , I got a lot of unfamiliar memories . after looking through them , I got to know about my situation. it was simple . I just woke up inside a different body and the memories belonged to him .

according to the memories , his name was Ken too . he was a 14 years old orphan who lived in Tokyo, Japan. he had left the orphanage to live alone when he was 13 and did part time jobs for money .he died in the hospital bed after he was brought here. he collapsed while working from brain hemorrhage. hehehe.. who cares now his body was mine and I will fulfill my dreams in this world for sure .

my dream was to become a pro baseball player and now it was possible . it was possible because this new body was really athletic. he was just 14 in his last year of middle school and stood 5ft 7 tall . I just had to train well and have fun playing baseball .

training will bore fruits really quickly as I knew from his memories that this body is gifted with talent . well now its mine though . I then pushed the nurse call button . after confirming with the nurse and doctor , I got to know that the surgery was a success but previous Ken couldn't hold on and died in coma. I must have taken over his body after his death . after checking my condition doctor told me to rest for a week and allowed me to discharge. I guessed that he must have thought that he couldn't expect money from me so discharge me because I could tell that much from his expression.

I couldn't care less so quickly went to my apartment and started to think training plan while reviewing the information of this new world from the memories .

according to the memories , this world was basically the same with some changes . baseball was the most popular sport here .

the system of baseball was different too but rules were the same .

there was only one tournament a year in high school . summer koshien or national baseball tournament. there were 2 parts called regional and national tournament .

a total of 50 teams who each won their respective regional tournaments , fight it out at hanshin koshien stadium to determine number one team . both tournaments are elimination tournaments and once you lose ,you are out .

once I confirmed the information , I just ate some fruit and went to sleep .
