16 16. Handsome Angel

That morning, the café looks crowded. Many visitors come to have breakfast there. Victoria is busy serving customers because Courtney is absent from work today. Mariah is busy making coffee, while Sean is busy cooking with the help of the other chefs.

Victoria saw two people were sitting at the corner of the cafe, but no one was serving them. She had just finished saving a cup of coffee for the diners at table number three. She walked over to the two people.

As usual, she only remembered the clothes of the visitors without really looking at his face. The visitor is a woman in a red sleeveless shirt and black trousers.

The other person is a man in a black shirt and blue jeans that are very good worn. Victoria stands before them, greeting as usual.

"Hello, how are you? My name is Victoria. What do you want to order?"

Victoria handed the menu book on the table, notepaper in hand. She waited for a few seconds, but there was no reaction from the two of them.

She hates it so much when people let her stand there. She is waiting to write the order while they are just sitting quietly and busy watching her. For God's sake, she is not a decorative statue of the room. Time is running out, and she is just standing there while strange people are staring at her.

"Excuse me. Do you want to order something?" Victoria was running out of patience. "Please have a look at the menu book first. I will come back again if you call me."

Victoria left and walked over to table number four for the bill. She walked to the cashier, asked for the receipt, tucked it in a folder, and handed it over to the customer.

As she walked toward the kitchen, the corner of her eye saw something strange. She didn't dare to look at the visitor's face, but she was sure as if she knew one of her visitors who was sitting at the end of the room.

Victoria turns her face and ventures to look at the visitor. The man's face is now looking down at the menu book. She is about to walk closer, look at the man's face, but then Sean rings the bell.

She had to hurry to get the food and bring it to table number ten. After Victoria finished delivering the food, she glanced back at the end table and was surprised that the table was empty. There was only the menu book lying there.

She feels bad. What if they were gone because she had spoken disrespectfully to those people? Victoria shook her head, returned to the table to pick up the neglected menu book.

The atmosphere of the café was bustling, that is why she did not notice when those people left here. She wondered what had caused these people to go.

Victoria continued working and did not want to think about those people anymore. There was a CCTV camera watching from up there, so she could not be lazy.

When evening came, Victoria wiped the table and waited for the turn of her other friends to change her work hours. There were Candice and Viona had just arrived and greeted Victoria.

She goes into the locker room and changes her work uniform with a T-shirt and jeans. She walks fast to the parking lot and rides her bicycle.

The sun was shining hot enough, making Victoria's eyes dazzled. When she had just gone several hundred meters away, she felt as if someone was following her.

Victoria pulls over and stops at the supermarket because she had to buy eggs. The strange feeling came back when she entered the supermarket. Today feels weird, just like yesterday.

There was someone following her but too cowardly to reveal himself. Victoria got annoyed. She thought it was the thugs she hit yesterday.

Victoria was taking a bottle of fruit juice and was surprised when someone got behind her and was about to take the fruit juice too. She turned around and was surprised when she saw a man who seemed familiar.

That man was the same man who was at the café this morning. She remembers the black shirt and jeans.

"You!" exclaimed Victoria.

"Yes, me. What is wrong?"

"You've been following me since yesterday, right?" accused Victoria.

"Me? Why did I follow you? I don't know you," said the man with a smile.

"You must be lying! You went to a café earlier and tried to bother me, right?" Victoria took a step back.

"I'm not lying," said the man.

Victoria looked up to see the man's face. Her legs immediately felt limp, her knees trembled. The man was very handsome and charming. Not a single American man looked so cool and hot like him.

His skin was tan, his hair was black, and his eyes were sharp and full of mystery. There are thin sideburns that adorn his chin and cheeks. His body was tall and stocky. She wondered what his body would look like if he is not wearing clothes.

He looked like the man who appeared in her dream last night. She thought she was dreaming of seeing a handsome man and suddenly the man disappeared. Maybe her mind has been in chaos lately.

She was surprised to find herself able to do martial. And now the handsome man in front of her was making her breathless.

"Hello?" The man moved his hand in Victoria's face.

Victoria blinked and cleared her throat. "Hi."

The man chuckled. "Listen to me, Miss. I never meant to bother you. I just want to take that." He pointed to the fruit juice behind Victoria's back.

"Ah."

Victoria stepped aside to make room for the man. He painted a sweet smile on his face. Victoria felt her saliva dripping when she saw the man smiling.

"Hmmm, how can you see me?" the man asked, knitting his brows.

"I… I saw you. Yes, you were at the cafe this morning, right. Of course, I saw you. I know your clothes. "

"Clothes? There must be a lot of humans wearing clothes like me." The man nodded his head.

"Human? Yes, we are all human." Victoria sounded strange in her own words. "I remember, you were with a woman wearing a red shirt and black pants."

"I'm alone now. Maybe you saw it wrong."

Victoria scowled. She looks like a woman who likes to stalk, even though she is the victim here.

"Hey, we haven't known each other before." The man stretched out his hand. "My name is Baron."

That is a name that fits perfectly with his handsome face. Isn't Baron an honorary title for the British?

Victoria held out her hand hesitantly. "Victoria."

"Nice to meet you," said Baron with a smile.

Victoria felt her cheeks warm like a fire burning under her skin.

"Where do you come from?" asked the Baron.

"I come from Phoenix. You?"

"I'm not from here."

"Oh, so you are on vacation here?"

Baron chuckled as he nodded. "Yes, you can say it like that. I mean, are you from this world?"

Victoria scrunched up her face. "What are you talking about? Of course, I am from this planet earth. Do you think I look like an alien?"

Baron laughed again. His laughter was so pleasant. It reminded Victoria of when she was on vacation in the park with her mother and father. They laughed together, and it was all wonderful.

"What is alien?" asked the Baron. "I think you are a very beautiful human in this world. I've met a creature that is prettier than you, but I immediately went away when she pulled out the horns above her head and turned into a rhino."

Victoria scratched her head and was confused by what Baron was saying. The man always said 'human,' as if he was not a human himself.

Maybe, Baron isn't a human. He is a handsome angel sent by God to be her lover. Victoria laughed in her heart. There is nothing like that. So far, she had never succeeded in attracting a man other than… Raymond.

"Uhm, are you alone? May I treat you to a cup of coffee?"
