11 Event Quest (Finale)
Athelstan's POV
I wake up on a bed with my items on a side, in a room wooden with a table with white table cloth. The sun can be seen from the window rising. I'd squint as my sun's rays hit my eyes. I sit upwards and get my items, putting on my gear. I get up and leave the room. Outside would be one person wearing a breastplate armor and and some chains. He looked like he was a knight wearing a white mask and a hood that's white also.
"Greetings Sir Athelstan" he says
"Where am I?" I ask
"Straight to the point, I see. We are the secret service that works directly under the King of Zlatan. We are known as Hollow Arthas to the others. We have been keeping that orc your group had fought last night under suspicions for being against the king. So we kept him under surveillance. The neighboring villagers didn't want to speak up to us, so we had assumed that orc was keeping everyone quiet." he explains
"Where's the orc now?"
"The orc is kept in surveillance in a specialize cell for him. Our leader will explain the rest to you and your team" he says
He shows me the way down the hallway and brings me to a white room. It was a round room and the group was just making themselves comfortable on the sofas in the room. There were other people wearing the same uniform as the one who had brought me here. I run up to the group and sit with them.
"So how's everyone and where's Lucas?" I ask
"You okay Athel? Lucas went back to their hideout, we'll see him soon enough." Ravenna asks
"Yeah I'm fine. What happened? I remember fighting the orc then blacking out."
"We charged in the house while Lucas fought the orc. We got you out, then those guys in white came in and trapped him." she then continues on the explain the rest of the story to me
One of Arthasians came to us
"Our leader has arrived. Allow me to lead you to him." he says
We nod and stand up, we left the room as we follow the guy to another hallway. After walking down a path, we ended up in a door. He opened it to us and we went in. A man in with a long sword sheathed behind his back would be standing. He bows down then gestures us to sit. Chairs would appear magically out of thin air, and we take our seats.
"I am the leader of the Hollow Arthas. My name is Naxel Verhonn. I know who you guys are so I'll do the asking. You five recently came here to Zlatan and already got into trouble with an orc that we've been keeping an eye on. This can't be just mere coincidence as you were seen travelling with one of the loyal drows of Edengeld. So, I believe there is something you know that we don't. Might one of you want to share?"
"You might not believe this, but an entity that started the Great Realms War has emerged. It has begun it's course of action to plunging this realm to its destruction. The demons and devils will return." Ravenna says
We all nodded and I noticed Naxel started looking uneasy and cautious. Before he spoke, he looked like he hesitated for a bit.
"What is this evil entity?" he asks
The team looks at me and so does Naxel.
"Do you know something? Athelstan" he asks
"Well, the entity looks like.. Cilan. Cilan Mamoru." I say
His reaction looks a bit of shocked and surprise.
"Cilan Mamoru? The Cilan Mamoru?" he asks
"Yeah, it's him."
"You were with one of Edengeld's drow, so I don't see a reason to not believe your story regarding Cilan Mamoru. But what can you do? Cilan Mamoru is one of the great heroes who fought against the Devil King in the Great Realms War."
"We have a plan. Right now we know that he's getting the gems to the other realms. The gem to the nine hells should be in Nizari, and there might be someone there who could help us fight against Cilan Mamoru." I say
"Very well then, we'll let you on your way to Nizari. Be careful on your journey, there are dangerous enemies on the way to Nizari. Especially the graveyard you have to get through to reach Nizari." he says
"We'll be fine." Ravenna reassures him
"I'll inform the king, but I doubt he'll let the others nations know about this. So I trust that you can inform the king of Nizari. I'm assuming you've already brought this to light to the Elven queen, am I right?" he says
"We have, but it does not seem like she and her knights would believe us. So most likely they're going to be fighting against us. As they see us as criminals." I say
With that, our conversation ended and he let us out of the room. We were brought to the main lobby of the base again.
"While you're still here, why don't you enjoy yourselves. You can spar with one of our knights, maybe they can learn a thing or two from you guys." Naxel offers
"Yeah, as we are now I doubt we can beat Cilan. We'll probably spend a bit of time here training and honing our skills. Thank you." Ravenna says
"Then allow me to lead you to the arenas" Naxel offers.
Naxel started leading us deeper into their base. From the lobby, we took the same hallway we went to the room we spoke in, but this time. We were led to a staircase going down. We reached to the bottom, and found ourselves in an underground arena. There would be multiple knights training their sword skills. While some are practicing their magic. One knight would use his sword to draw out electricity and he swung it around controlling where the flow of electricity would go. He takes on 3 knights and they all get hit from the attack.
"That knight is Zaber. He's half human and half lightning elemental. One of a kind. So he's gifted with the ability to manipulate lightning, but of course it's all magic. So there's a limit to it." Naxel informs us
"Well then I guess we'll take on Zaber for the first spar." Ravenna says
We all looked at her in shock. How is she so confident that we can beat a lightning elemental when we couldn't even beat the orc without the help of these people? But this does seem like a pretty interesting matchup. Us against the Lightning elemental, Zaber. Ravenna told us to come. We followed her and jumped into the arena with her. The other knights backed away and gave us some space. I see Naxel stay where he is just spectating.
"You must be the Assassins of Dusk? I've heard of such a group" Zaber says
"Assassins of Dusk? Yes we are." Ravenna says
"Well don't you think it'd be unfair since you know what we're capable of? Our strengths and weaknesses are exposed!" Razz says
"Hmph, I don't pry on others, so I have no clue. I've only heard of you guys. Anyways, just get a weapon from the weapon stand there. Then we can begin." Zaber points to the weapon stand as he says
All the weapons available are all melee weapons. I took a rapier. Razz got his longsword. Domotraus and Seph both got scimitars and Ravenna took a bo staff. We got into position and went to fighting stance. Zaber also got into position. He'd be wearing the typical armor and knights are wearing. Breastplate armor with white cloth covering it having the symbol of the Hollow Arthas, with chainmail covering some of the exposed parts. Only his bottom didn't seem that armored up so I felt confident. I smirked then made a run for it going for a fake out.
"HAH!" I shout as I approach
Before I could reach 5ft from him, I stopped a leapt back. But he saw through the fake out and lunged towards me. With his swordsmanship he beautifully executed a spin slash. Before the sword could hit me, I reacted fast enough to get lower flipping backwards using one hand.
"Not bad" Zaber remarks.
Razz had gotten close up to him with his longsword, they enter a clash. I see Ravenna chanting and Domotraus' one scimitar glowed a bit. Domotraus rushed in to assist Razz in their sword fight. After exchanging some clashing of swords they all back away from each other.
"Is this what the assassins of dusk have to offer? I'm not even using my full power." Zaber arrogantly says
"That'll be your mistake" Seph says
It sounded like Seph had a plan there. Seph went along with Razz and Domotraus.
"Follow my lead" she says
I activated my boots of speed and tried to get around. Zaber doesnt do anything to prevent me from flanking him, as if he knew I was there. With one scimitar, Seph slashed from 15ft away and sparks appeared from the slash going towards Zaber.
"Is this some sort of joke?" Zaber laughs
He extends his sword and absorb the sparks, his longsword would be full of the sparks, and the thunder crackling could be heard from his sword. Just before the longsword could fully absorb the sparks, Domotraus would've already reached 5ft from him. Somehow having a floating scimitar while holding his scimitar. Domotraus goes in for the slash. Zaber saw him coming, so he slashed towards Dom's direction clashing the swords. His longsword goes through the scimitar and it disappears making him off angle. Domotraus grabs the floating scimitar to his left dodging the slash with Razz being midair going towards Zaber preparing a powerful downward slash. I had made a quick run towards Zaber and with the boots of speed I made it so quickly before the combo attack could happen, I did a running jump kicking the head of Zaber and his helmet went flying revealing his light blue medium length hair. The helmet went flying towards Razz, and he was quick enough to react. He moved midair from a downward slash to the horizontal spin attack. Zaber used the sparks on his sword to try to create a small shield to block the attack.
"Got you!" Seph shouts
Razz's longsword goes through the sparks and Domotraus goes for a quick stab on the gut. Zaber tries to jump back a bit, but the earth somehow got a hold him, disabling him from jumping backwards. He couldn't block the attacks so as a last resort, his other hand glowed and for a split second I could hear thunder coming from that hand, but it disappeared and he was surprised that it didn't work. With that all the attacks connected.
