Bambi Rejects An Alpha

Eva simply glanced down at him, her expression unreadable. She remembered having the same question when she first joined the pack. She couldn't understand why their Alpha, Apollo, was so fixated on catching a random Omega when he could have anyone he wanted. But then she laid her eyes on Bambi and everything became clear.

First of all, he was a male Omega, which was extremely rare. And on top of that, he was blessed with beauty that surpassed even the average Omega. Just looking at his delicate Wasian features and his pouty, plump lips was enough to make any Alpha or Beta's instinct to breed him kick in. And that was just his face. She couldn't even imagine how incredible his body must be under those baggy hoodies he always wore.

Eva shook her head, trying to push away those thoughts. She had a job to do. "Bambi, you should give up on running," she told him, her voice firm. "The entire place is already surrounded. You should just submit to our Alpha and be his mate."

Bambi's eyes narrowed and he cursed at her. "I'll never submit to him!" he growled, his body tense with defiance. "I regret saving him. I wish I had left him to die."

Eva's expression didn't change as she replied, "It doesn't matter what you want. In the end, you're coming with us."

Bambi's jaw clenched as he glared at her. "Why? So I can be some breeding machine for your Alpha?"

Eva's lips curved into a smug smile. "Yes," she said simply. "Our Alpha is already preparing for our grand union back at the cove. And you will do well to bear multiple strong children for the future of our pack."

Bambi fell silent at that, his anger slowly turning into genuine fury. "You're all just a bunch of human trash," he spat out, his voice filled with disgust. "I wish you all would just die."

But before Eva could respond, the door burst open and the room was suddenly filled with Alpha pheromones. Bambi's eyes widened in fear and he took a step back as Apollo entered, his height towering over everyone else in the room.

The Alpha's eyes were locked onto Bambi, a sickening glint in them as he smiled. "Don't say that, baby," he said, his voice laced with a predatory edge. "You know you don't really mean it."

Bambi's heart was racing as he looked up at the intimidating figure before him. He couldn't deny the pull he felt towards Apollo, despite his hatred towards him. It was something primal, something he couldn't control.

"I do mean it," Bambi said, his voice trembling with fear and anger.

Apollo's smile widened as he took a step closer, his pheromones becoming even stronger. "Did you miss me?" he asked, his voice dripping with arrogance.

Bambi's eyes widened in shock. How could someone like him be so confident and cocky? But deep down, Bambi couldn't deny that he had missed Apollo. He had missed the way his touch made him feel, the way his scent enveloped him, and the way his body responded to the Alpha's every command.

But Bambi wasn't ready to give in just yet. He stood his ground, his jaw set in determination. "I'll never be your mate," he said defiantly.

Bambi glared at Apollo from across the room with his arms crossed and a look of pure disdain on his face. The two went back and forth for what felt like hours, as Bambi traded insults and glared at Apollo who only smiled patiently back at Bambi. But as Bambi opened his mouth to respond to Apollo's latest response, Apollo sighed as he simply raised a finger to his lips, silencing the room.

"Listen, Bambi," Apollo began, his voice calm and measured. "I know you hate me. I know you think I'm just another simple-minded Alpha, a rich snob who had everything handed to him before the comet hit. But let me tell you, it wasn't always like this."

Bambi rolled his eyes, clearly not interested in Apollo's sob story. But Apollo continued, undeterred.

"Before the comet hit, I was one of the 'lucky' ones. Born into a wealthy family, with all the privileges that came with it."

Apollo raised two fingers. "See, my parents taught me that the world was divided into two - of 'winners' and 'losers'. And as a Richmond, I was expected to always be a winner, even amongst other winners."

Bambi scoffed. "Sounds like a load of bullshit to me."

Apollo shrugged. "Maybe it was, but I believed it. And so I worked hard to always be the best. Whether it was in academics, business, or athletics, I always came out on top."

Bambi shrinked as the Alpha started to walk closer to him. "But deep down, I always wondered how the other side felt. How the 'losers' felt when we 'winners' came out on top."

Bambi's expression softened slightly, intrigued by Apollo's words.

"I even felt sympathetic towards them at times," Apollo continued. "Well, that was before my father caught wind of it and gave me a harsh punishment to make sure I never forgot the Richmond way."

"It's better if I show you," Apollo slowly unbuttoned his shirt, revealing a burned symbol on his right chest. Bambi's eyes widened in shock.

Apollo proceeded to button his shirt back again, before smiling gently. "From then on, I buried those thoughts and focused on being the perfect Richmond. I wanted to die."

"But then, the comet struck."

"And, everything changed. The world turned to shit and so did my parents, which may even be the best part about it. They died in the crash, along with all their money, power and everything that came along with their shit."

"I was free." Apollo grinned like a mad-man. Oh, how he loved the taste of freedom when his parents finally, finally died! "But then came a problem."

"I was lost." Apollo said. "In a world where money meant nothing, I felt. . .no, I was a loser. I was on the other side of the world. I was anguished."

He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, his thoughts drifting back to that dark time in his life. He remembered feeling so desperate, so lost, that he even contemplated taking his own life. He couldn't imagine living without being a winner. But then, on that special night when the moon was full and bright, he was chosen once again.

Apollo chuckled to himself as he remembered the feeling of being transformed into an Alpha, a ruler, a 'winner'. He had been one of the lucky few, chosen once again to rise to the top. But unfortunately, he had let the power get to his head. He had become drunk on it, and in his arrogance, he had tried to conquer the entire state of broken California. But it was his own downfall, as he ended up injured and on the brink of death.

At that moment, he was vexed. How could someone like him, a winner, a ruler, lose so easily? And yet, as he lay there bleeding, his eyes closing, he saw Bambi's concerned face.

"Until I met you," Apollo crouched on one knee, and even then, he was still taller than Bambi. "My beautiful little savior, with his sweet, sweet smell that reminded me of autumn's grace."

Apollo remembered that day. He would never forget the day he found his mate, and yet he also remembered how when he awoke, Bambi was nowhere to be found.

"That was when I realized the reason for my loss." Apollo shook his head. "I tried to win alone, without anyone I could truly call for support. I mean, even my father, in all his misdeeds, still had my mother by his side."

"I need that too," Apollo said. "I need my reason to win."

And now, as he stood close to Bambi, smelling him with a satisfied smile on his face, he knew that he had finally captured his prey. It had taken him a whole year, but the wait was finally over. He reached out and offered his hand to Bambi, a smile on his face as he commanded, "Win alongside your Alpha, my sweet autumn wind."

He leaned in close, his breath warm on Bambi's ear as he whispered, "Together, we will be unstoppable. Let's show them what a true winner looks like."
