23 A trip out of the sect with wife

The patriarch The patriarch had offered Xin Feng a better place than the manor under his name, which was the place where he was kidnapped. Xin Feng declined this offer as well, as he explained to the patriarch with the help of the mark on his chest that he would stay with Hua Mei. The reason for this, was because Hua Mei had something other places didn't have. The teleporter to a better cultivating spot and accompany.

Seven days had soon passed. The sect-master and disciple duo were brought to where they stayed. The girl was the first to awake, while the woman woke up after three days. The dislike those two developed against Xin Feng was obvious whenever they saw him. They hated him for embarrassing themself in front of the patriarch, and couldn't accept the fact that they were beaten by a newbie that easily.

Within those seven days the fame of Xin Feng increased throughout the entire sect and even other sects, making the duo feel even more sour for being known as a stepping stone by almost everyone from the country. Xin Feng did not care about any of that though. He wanted nothing but to get stronger to beat that goddess's ass.

Many disciples had joined the feast. The feast was a type of festival, where prices were lowered and an abundance of food and wine was available. Under the persistence of Liu Lue, Xin Feng decided to hang out with her at the feast for two days.

The place bustled more in the morning and at night, but many preferred to hang around at night, since it was a spectacle at night with the decorations and the lights. It was also because it was the time when most of them didn't train or perform quests. Xin Feng and Liu Lue had spent their day walking around with bottles of wine, looking around to buy some useful items or things that were simply pretty. When the place died down, they would spend some time on the beach, relaxing and enjoying nature under the shadow of a hill. After two days had passed, Xin Feng decided to say his goodbyes.

He flew back to Hua Mei's manor, while Liu Lue rode her mount back home. Xin Feng came back at the similar time of a day as when he had left. He dropped on the balcony of her room, before he knocked on the door for her to let him in. Hua Mei unlocked the door with a look showing that she was disturbed of her sleep. She didn't even utter a single sentence as she walked towards the bed to tug herself back to sleep. After two hours they did their training regime and the following things of their schedule. This pattern continued until five days had passed.

A message came. It was in the quest room that Hua Mei had set up for herself years ago. The sound of a bell was heard inside the entire building when the message had come. The two of them entered a room that had inscriptions all over the wall with a few of them glowing. From symbols that looked like the edge of an ear with a tail, to symbols that looked like wifi bars and finger nails.

Hua Mei brought Qi to her index finger, making it glow yellow on the tip, before she drew an S in the air and a dot above it. The inscriptions on the walls glowed and the symbol that Hua Mei drew burst into tiny particles that became sound waves.

"Bring Xin Feng out for some field experience." The voice of the patriarch was heard.

"As expected. We didn't have to come up with an excuse to leave. Well done, comrade…"

Xin Feng nodded, before he muttered, "Adventure time."

"Ad-venture time…"

Xin Feng had often wondered how much stronger he would become if he used the so-called recources that he could absorb out of the dire-beasts. Sheep poo had given him the opportunity to increase his Qi and level up his spiritual level. So, what if it were stronger creatures he wondered. With the discovery of Hua Mei, he knew that those beasts that threaten the sects were a huge power source for him. He could absorb the energies out of them.

Unlike the others, he couldn't only process spiritual energy, but every energy that he finds beneficial. He had asked the patriarch a lot of questions about beasts, but the questions were nothing but a disguise to his plans. He wanted the patriarch to get tired of his questions or to let him see an opportunity why to send Xin Feng to face against beasts instead of keeping him curious. When both Xin Feng and Hua Mei were dining, he explained her his plans. She was baffled by his idea, and told him that she had the similar plan to leave as well.

Her plan was for both of them to leave for a few years as she had done. She explained how she had always wanted to roam free without limits but couldn't because the world was too dangerous for her without anyone having someone to watch her back. That's why she was only able to build a teleportation array to face the dangerous creatures slowly.

Hua Mei told him how she didn't know how to invite him because she was worried that she would be disappointed by his reply. She could see the relation Xin Feng had with his father and Liu Lue, which was why she was worried that Xin Feng couldn't part ways with them for a few years, due to him never having left the sect.

Since the day Xin Feng told her his plans, they expanded and modified the plan until the day that the first step of their plan came to success. That day of course, was the day the message of the patriarch arrived.

After making sure that every item they had prepared was inside their storage ring, they were ready to leave.

"So… How are we actually traveling?"

"You can fly, right?

"Yeah… but what about you? Any mounts?"

"Ohoho~ I'm not the number one genius of the sect for no reason, you know…" She smugly explained, before she yelled, "Heaven's autumn falls, amendment!"

Water formed around her body, before she rose from the ground. The water stirred furiously as it came to life. Within a second, Hua Mei was inside the figure of a five meter long-dragon that was made of water. The dragon was in a wavy motion; calm as the ocean and turbulent as the sea. Its mouth moved, and at the same time Hua Mei's voice was heard from it.

"Talk later. It takes too much QI to sustain this form. Let's go!"had offered Xin Feng a better place than the manor under his name, which was the place where he was kidnapped.
