432 Lex’s Determination (Part 1)

As Lex's action took effect, her infantrymen set up the magic trebuchet. The defence force in the city would not have any thought about sending their mages to the east of the city.

Even though Nash was tough at the very beginning, he could only complain hardship to himself. He thought Lex would not have the courage to attack the city, but Lex had set up the trebuchet and she was supported by coordinated action on the east gate. Lex obviously wanted to butcher in a large number.

Everyone knew that the number of mages in the Bitter Water army was few folds of a normal army. In a short battle, the advantage might not be obvious. With more mages, it meant that when the battle time was dragging longer, their recovery power would be shocking.

It was said that Holy See used the same way to build the Sacred Knights. Every troop had a priest and those knights could release an unbridled sword aura.
