13 Chapter 13- together

The next morning

Sean's in the kitchen cooking while racheal's in the living room playing

Kelly walks into the dorm

"Mommy!" Racheal yells in exciment as she runs up to Kelly and hugs her

"hey" Kelly says hugging racheal back

"breakfast is ready!" Sean shouts front the kitchen

racheal runs to the kitchen with Kelly walking behind her

racheal sits down at the table and Sean walks over and hands her a plate of eggs and toast

Kelly walks into the kitchen as Sean walks back over to the counter

Sean hears Kelly's footsteps and turns around to see Kelly standing at the kitchen door

"hey" Kelly says with a nervous tone as Sean turns around to look at her in shock

Sean looks at Kelly like he's scanning her and sees some scratches and a few bruises

"heh, it's alot worse under the sweater" Kelly says nervously avoiding avoiding eye contact with Sean

"that's Kasey's sweater isn't it?" Sean asks leaning against the counter

"yea, it's a long story" Kelly says walking over to the counter

"well you can tell me when I come back, in the meantime you can eat and clean yourself up" Sean says as he takes a piece of toast, puts it in Kelly's mouth, Pat's her on the head and walks to the living room with racheal to get ready to take racheal to school

Sean stops at the kitchen doorway while racheal runs ahead and turns back to Kelly and smirks at her as Kelly gives him the "I'm going to kill you when you come back" glare

Sean than turns around and walks out while Kelly stands there and hears the door open and close a minute later

Kelly turns around and walks to her room

Kelly enters her room and takes off Kasey's sweater to reveal her body covered in scratches and bruises and a piece of cloth wrapped around a gunshot at the top of her arm

Kelly wraps her hand around the gunshot wound and holds it for a second with her eyes closed thinking while standing in the middle of her bedroom before going to the bathrooms to clean herself up

Sean walks into the dorm and takes off his coat and shoes and walks into Kelly's room to find her laying down on her bed on her side facing the wall

Sean walks over and sits on the bed by her head

"hey wake up, we have to get to ready and head to school in an hour" Sean says putting his hand on Kelly's shoulder near her wound and shakes her gently to wake her up

Kelly grabs her shoulder and rolls over to lay on her back looking at Sean while holding her wound that was starting to ache while using the blanket to cover up her arms that are full of scratches and bruises

"im not going today" Kelly says

"well then wanna tell me why you were gone all night and why you came back in Kasey's hoodie wounded?" Sean says

"I don't want to talk about it" Kelly says in a angry and nervous tone as she rolls back over to face the wall making Sean become worried

"what are you hiding?" Sean asks moving to wear he can see Kelly's face

"I'm not hiding anything, I just don't wanna talk about it right now" Kelly says moving the blanket upwards towards her face

Sean watches her pull up the blanket and sighs while looking away

"fine I won't force you this time" Sean says looking back at Kelly

"I could probaly ask Kasey about it anyway" Sean says leaning over Kelly to look at her face as Kelly just stares at the wall

"Isaac suppose to be here to drop Mikey off for a playdate while he goes to the principal's office for his dorms and classes, I can call Kasey over here to help you with them since I agreed to show Isaac around the school if you want" Sean says as Kelly turns over on her back and sits up with the blanket still covering her body up to her neck to look at Sean

"no I don't know if Kasey's healed yet, so don't bother troubling him right now, ill take care of them while you go with Isaac and show him around" Kelly says looking at Sean

Sean hugs Kelly as a few tears runs down Kelly's face as she hugs him back with the blanket wrapped around her covering her back

"I couldn't protect him" Kelly says grabbing Sean's shirt and putting her hands into a fist as Sean's face turns to shock and worried as he feels Kelly's tears dropping on his shoulder as he hugs Kelly tighter

"it's alright" Sean says

"no it's not alright, it's my fault I couldn't save them because I was weak" Kelly says

"what do you mean?" Sean asks pushing Kelly back to look at her in the eyes as her blanket falls down revealing the bandage on her gunshot wound and her arms that are full of bruises and cuts as Sean's face turns to shock

Kelly keeps her head down looking at the blanket that fell

"it's my fault because I was weak, I couldn't stop them I blacked out and I dont know what happened all I know is I woke up in an alley way with Kasey's hoodie on and my shoulder aching" kelly explains with tears rolling down her face

"I don't even know where Kasey is right now or if him and my mom are still alive for that matter" Kelly says looking up at Sean with tears rolling down her face and a worried and nervous look of fear and regret on her face

Sean face expression turns to worry, fear and sadness as he looks at Kelly face that's full of tears for this is the first time he's seen her like this

Kelly looks back down at her hands that are in lap and watches Sean grab her hands and lifts them up to where the heads are as she looks back up at Sean who's face expression is full of anger and determination

"it's not your fault and whoever told you that was lying" Sean says as he watches Kelly's face turn to shock as she hears Sean, "it's not your fault, it's whoever did this to you is at fault so stop blaming yourself"

Sean takes one of his hands away from Kelly and puts it on her cheek

"you got out of their and that's one thing that matters and the fact that you had Kaseys hoodie could mean he's the one who could've put you there and he could've escaped somewhere else, if he hadn't done that who knows what more they could've done to you" Sean says trying to make Kelly feel better

"tonight how about we go out to search for Kasey together, we can drop racheal off with Isaac and go back to search for them and make those guys pay for whatever they did"

Sean says letting go of Kelly's hand and standing up off the bed turning back around and reaching out his hand to Kelly

"so how about it?" Sean asks

Kelly looks at Sean hand and then looks back up at Sean and a smile appears on her face as her face expression turns into determination, bravery and anger

Kelly grabs Sean's hands and Sean helps her off the bed and pulls her towards him

"well do this together" Sean says holding Kelly close to him holding her hand

"together" Kelly says meeting eye contact with Sean with both of them having fierce determination in their eyes
