7 Part 7: Golden Key

a Has the maid leaves the room and shuts the door behind her, uncle eddy's phone vibrates; he takes it out and checks it, then all of a sudden the look on is face change as he looks at me.

Me: what is it uncle eddy?

Uncle: raven, if you don't go to this school...

By the tone of his voice just now I could tell he's getting serious; he leans forward, rest is arms on is thighs and locks is fingers together.

Uncle: I can't guarantee the safety of your mother

Me: is that a threat?

Uncle: no, but a warning, and if you think that naive childish crap like you did just now will get you back in the main family-

Me: using my mother again now are we,

Uncle: what-

Me: and why would I want to go back to a family that gave me a piece paper to sign over my inheritance then the next couple years after kidnapping my mother and threatening me to stay away from yours and father younger brother and sons

Uncle: what are you talking about?!

He slammed is hand on the table in anger being a clueless puppet that they continuously draw by a string.

There was a knock on the door.

Me: enter

Maid: miss the private room is ready along with the 'extra lemon and ginger tea' you have requested

Me: Well done, uncle please follow me.

Uncle: where too?

Me: you'll see when we get there.

Uncle: okay fine

We both got up at the same time and exit out of the room, then walk through the halls; went up the stairs an stopped in front of a red door that was opened with a golden key. The two of us alone step into this room surrounded by books with two fancy looking couches facing each other in the middle of the room.

As we both sat down in a moment of silence until the door was closed shut. We continue the conversation.

Me: so you mean to tell me that you sold out your own niece for people who never even look at you and you know nothing?

Uncle: did no such thing, and did you think a little girl like you can handle the business and power?! No you can't, I did you a favor so your hands wouldn't be tainted by blood.

Me: And yet here you're still blinded by power and greed!dancing to they're every tune and still kept out of the loop, how sad and pathetic of you.

Uncle: how dare you! Say something like that; I am your uncle and you will treat me with respect!

Me: respect? The fact that I'm here speaking to you right now shows that I had small piece of repeated left for you

Uncle: you think because your father made you the heir you know everything! Hmm

Me: now now dear uncle, please; there's no need to shout now, is there? and since you already know everything why don't you tell me why are you even here?

Uncle: .....

Me: why don't you speak uncle? Haaa I see! So I was right, you really came here only knowing about the school and not the reason behind it, so in other words

you don't know a thing...

Uncle: what don't I know?... Tell me raven!

Me: why don't you go and ask your mother

Looking at his reaction towards my words was enough for me to know he's not fit to be the king of my father's empire and God knows that I tried, but being an dealing with these people day in and day out; always keeping me on my toes and not even giving me second to catch my breath, they are...killing me.

Me: this is the last time

I said drawing back is attention to me.

Me: I'll have anything to do with you, so the next time you decide to drop by unannounced please drop a dead as well and another thing Mr. Eddy, just because my father died you and your family have seemed to forget that I'm still my father's daughter; with that said the next time that woman you called mother tells you to use my mother to get to me please tell her that I said she can kill her for all I care because I already know the bitch was your only way to control me.

I got up out of the chair and guide my hand towards the door thinking of a polite way to tell him to leave.

Me: now that all the misunderstanding has been clear up can you kindly get the f***! Out of my house and never show your face to me again.

He just got up and walks over to the door and stops; standing right there in front of it then turns to me.

Uncle: you're making a big mistake underestimating me little girl

Me: no Mr. Eddy, you and your people are the ones who are underestimating me because I'm young; and sir, on your journey back home why don't you use that time to think long and hard about the reason why I was choosing to be the successor instead you and my father's other little blessings.

As soon as he left, I closed the front door and turned to the maid that was standing next to me.

Me: throw out those tea sets and get me another one

Maid: yes madam raven

Me: you sure know how to switch back to normal in a blink of an eye and even faster when no one else is around.

Maid: but of course madam I'm a professional assi-

I shot her a look putting her back on track.

Maid:..maid and also because I know who my real master is and if I may add?

Me: yes you may bell

Maid: when will you let me take care of your mother for you? I know for a fact that the new scar on your back was caused by a knife-

Me: enough bell!

Maid: I..I'm sorry madam, I have said too much and overstepped my place, I'll go get your t-

Me: don't bother, I just lost my appetite and I'm going to bed.

Maid:.....
