Chapter 1: Bella Vista

Here I was standing in my very own room with boxes covering the ground.

Moving to another house was always something I looked forward to but damn it was exhausting.

I laid down flat on my bed and let out a huge sigh.

The previous owner of this room was a little girl who had chosen a purple colour that coated the walls and a big unicorn poster taped on one side. I guess you can say she got a taste?

The room was small and perfect for me but what really caught my attention in various manners was the window. It was too close with the neighbor's window almost like one foot away. I hope there's not a creep living next door.

"Em, come downstairs NOW!", my mom shouted from downstairs.

I quickly stood up and ran because I knew she was calling for food and I was like very hungry.

Disappointment settled on my face when I saw no food.

"Mom! Why did you betray me like this why!?" I said falling to my knees

"Oh Emma stop being so dramatic and get up because you have been selected to roll in Bella Vista!"

I quickly got up from my position upon hearing this news. To say I was shocked would be an understatement.

Bella Vista, the school I had an unknown enmity with. Considering I left half of my admission test empty on purpose leaves me suspicious or maybe I'm just too smart for this world.

"Yay...?" I said not sure how to react to the news that was potentially a danger to my attempts to an adventurous life.

"Oh cheer up will you? Its a fresh start ,please don't disappoint. I'll forward you your schedule. Now come and have some pizza" My mom patted on my shoulder.

I all in once cheered up at the name of pizza as if I didn't just hear a devastating news.

It was midnight by now and I was unboxing my stuff when I should've been sleeping.As much as I was not excited for a "fresh start" I still had to atleast look pretty and find ways to bunk my classes.

Soon after what felt like an eternity, I went to bed and let darkness engulf me but it didn't and it just wouldn't. I kept changing my position like a dozen times but couldn't sleep.

I checked my phone and was so much more awake then before now. It was almost time to "wake up". I switched off the alarm that was gonna go off in 5 minutes.

I quickly did my routine, changed to a pair of olive jeans and a cherry red shirt. Pulled my hair in a messy ponytail and applied lots of concealer because I had a good sleep last night hahahaha and ofcourse my favorite lip gloss that I keep with me 24/7 like I definitely cannot live without this baby.

I was in middle of a kissing session and showing love to my baby lipgloss when mom decided it was the most perfect time to enter the room.

"Em..... honey are you ok? Did I make a mistake of rolling you in a school and not a hospital?"

"Yes mom maybe you did" I sighed taking my bag.

Mom dropped me off to school and drove to the hospital because she's a doctor. How sad it wasn't for my appointment.

I stood at the huge gates of Bella Vista and damn it was huge like not just the gates but the whole school. It looked like harry Potter's wizarding school. Ok maybe now I was excited like what if this is actually a wizarding school and I'm a wizard?

"You're not a wizard" I jumped to the feminine voice behind me.

Yay my first embarrassing moment of the day.

"Hi, I'm Grace" She broke the awkward silence with a smile everyone would die for or do die for. Her brown hair matched her doe eyes and I already found myself adoring this girl.

"Emma" I smiled back.

"I'm assuming you are a new student from your reaction so may I walk you to the school, my lady?" Grace said with a grin and I thought that I've already made a friend.

"Sure you may" I replied with a little bow.
