2 Chapter 2 :New school, New begining

Gray's P.O.V :

I wake up to my alarm clock blering on the left hand-side of my bed.  I quickly turn around and turn it off.  Not to long after I turned it off, I heard my mother shouting her lungs out in the living room.  I quickly jump out of bed and ran down stairs to see what she could be shouting about "Where's the danger mom, just tell me I'll kick its ass!"  I yell as I reach the last step of the staircase. 

But instead of seeing someone, I spot my mother at our household telephone.  

She looked so happy and then met my gaze, she quickly motioned for me to come to her.  "Uhuh... I'll have him ready by tomorrow, yes of course he'll be at his best behaviour"  she said ' What?! she'll  have  me ready by  tomorrow,  why  should I be     at my best behaviour,  have my parents put me in an arranged marriage or something? ' my mind starts jumping to all sorts of conclusions.

  But all of those conclusions were put on hold when my mother started speaking " Gray, I have good news " she says with a chirpy voice.  "What is it mom?"  I asked curriousity almost eating me whole.  "Fairy Tail High has accepted your application form and you will be attending that school from tomorrow"  she said  while smiling ear to ear." That sounds nice" I say trying to sound happy but to be honest I wasn't .  "Oh and Gray"  my mom says "Yeah mom?"  I ask while looking at her "Where did you get that bruise from?"  she asked concern and curiosity laced with the words that left her mouth as she raised her right hand to touch my cheek "Huh"  I say while reached for her hand to pull it away 'I can't believe I forgot I had that bruise ' I thought to myself "Oh I fell out of bed yesterday"  I lied.  "Well try and be more careful okay honey"  "Okay mom" I replied before she could ask me anything else I made my way up  to the stairs and dashed for my room.

Once in my room I closed my door.  "A new school huh?"  I said to myself.  'Well at least Hibiki won't be there' I thought to myself.  Speaking of Hibiki I wonder whether he sent those two hooded figures after me.  Oh who am I kinding it had to be him, nobody else knew about our meet up yesterday besides the two of us.  And he probably done it for the supposed 'Revenge' he so desperately wanted on me.

    (Time Skip: Next Morning )

I was woken up by my mother calling me "Gray... Gray its time to get up honey.  You don't want to be late for your first day of school do you?"  She asked with a stern tone "I am up mom!"  I shouted from behind my bed room door. I was suprised that I hadn't heard my alarm clock, I quickly made my way to my cupboard and took my school shirt and pants out. After I layed my uniforn neatly on my bed I headed to the bathroom and freshened up.  Once I came out my nose was met with an amazing smell....my mother's awesome home-made pancakes. 

I quickly put on my uniform and put a hardcovered note book, a few pens, a pencil and a ruler into my backpack.  I then opened my room door and dashed for the kitchen, right there was my mother holding a plate in her hand and looking straight at me.  "Morning dear, I thought I would make you pancakes on your first  day of school"  she said with a loving tone.  "Thanks mom, your the best" I replied while searching for a fork in the utensil draw.  Once I had a fork I looked at the pancakes that were laid beautifully on the plate infront of me, my mother then handed me the plate and I immediately dug in without a care in the world. After I finished my plate of delicious pancakes I was met by my fathers deep and husky voice "Are you ready to go son?" he asked "Almost dad, let me just go and grab my bag I'll be right done" I replied while putting my plate into the kitchen sink.

I then made my way to my room to get my school bag, I set the one strap on my shoulder and dashed down the stairs. Once I reached the last step my eyes were met with my mother and father greeting each other by the household door, it didn't take long for there attention to be turned to me.  I then made my way to the door, and my mother stopped me in my tracks on my way out "Gray... "  she murmured "Yes mom?" I asked "Promise me you won't get into any trouble  at Fairy Tail High"  she said not once breaking eye contact with my.  "I can't promise anything but... That I will try and stay out of trouble mom" I replied to her while scratching the back of my head. "Thats good enough for me"  she said while smiling.  "Now off you go your father is waiting"  she said and ushered me to the door.  "Bye mom..."  I said while kissing her cheek and then leaving. 'Oh dang I just told her I would try and be good in school' I thought while mentally face palming myself.  Either way I got into the passager seat of my fathers car.  We then started driving, but we soon got stuck in peek hour traffic  "Son?"  my father asked while looking start at the road "Yes dad"I replied in a montonus tone. " Are you sure you'll live up to your promise? " he asked rather concern "What promise dad?"  I asked "The one you made too your mother Gray, or have you already forgotten"  he said now sounding rather stern than anything else. 

"I said I'll try dad... I didn't necessarily promise mom anything"  I said now facing my dad "Well just know that she isn't the only one counting on you Gray"  he replied still not taking his eyes off the road.
