357 I Only Want To Be With You

Su Shen gazed at her, his eyes brimming with indulgence. He found her petulance today rather amusing, for it suggested that she wasn't entirely indifferent to him. 

Gu Zi bit her lip, lazily retorting, "Sure, I'll believe whatever you say. But what if she comes to you using her father's last wish as an excuse? What will you do then?" 

Su Shen replied, "I've given her a chance. We're in the past now. You're my wife, and I'll introduce you to her." 

Gu Zi scoffed, "Oh, so you've actually considered the possibility of her coming back to pester you. Mr. Su, you're quite the romantic, aren't you?" 

Su Shen was helpless. This woman, it seemed, had been waiting for him to say this. 

She was rather unreasonable, but why did he find that so endearing? 

In truth, he wanted to tell her that Hu Jie did seem to have intentions of coming back to pester him, but he decided against it. This woman's jealousy would drown him.
