1 Prologue 1

Deep within the cosmos in an empty space devoid of any life sat a glowing figure with light flickering akin to a dying flame. It appeared to be a middle aged man in black Taoist robes and if looked upon closely you could see tears silently streaming down from his eyes.

'Sigh' "It seems mother's death has still haunted me for thousands of years. Who knew my sorrow for her tragic death would strike me down during my final trial in this tribulation. I couldn't do anything then and now despite being one step from True God my heart was too weak to defeat this Heart Demon." Dai Kun sat within the void silently as he focused on his inner world slowly imploding on itself. As this happened he slowly reflected on the past thousands of years of tribulations he passed and overcame.

This was in fact his second chance at life. Originally he lived a monotonous life on a planet called earth. He grew up a lonely childhood, parents too busy to be home, too silent for other kids to notice and befriend him, and too timid to take advantage of any opportunity that came toward him. Just like that he grew up alone and with that he became an adult that was too introverted to make a name for himself. He found himself a salary job and sat at a desk working for thirty years typing his life away.

On a fateful day for many there was a sudden meteor shower that polluted the skies around the world. During this time Dai Kun had no qualms regarding the meteor shower and silently walked home. As he walked home he looked in front of him and saw a little girl standing still in the middle of the street. As he looked on he felt something amiss and noticed her legs shaking like she was scared. He looked up to where she was looking and saw a small bead of flame flying at a fast speed toward her.

Looking at the direction, it was heading toward the little girl's position. He thought to himself should he run away? For some odd reason he felt an ache in his heart as he saw the little girl shaking from fear at the sight of something unknown flying toward her. He suddenly felt compelled to do something different in his life. He started running toward the little girl. Right before the flame reached her Dai Kun managed to stand in front of her and block it. Both Dai Kun and the little girl flinched and closed their eyes. After a few seconds of silence they opened their eyes and looked into the sky. They blankly looked at the empty space of air as the flame was nowhere to be seen.

Dai Kun looked at the little girl and asked, "Are you okay?" She then looked at him and nodded. Just as he was about to ask where her parents were he heard a honking noise getting louder and louder. Dai Kun noticed that they were still in the middle of the street and saw an incoming box truck heading their way. "WATCH OUT!" Dai Kun pushed the little girl out of the way and saw a blinding light reach him. Out in the street his limp body lay as a little girl sat beside crying.

With that his first life had ended but mysteriously he woke up in the embrace of a beautiful woman. That's when the gears of his second life slowly revolved.

Born on a large planet 5 times the size of earth called Erstasia, Dai Kun was mysteriously given this new chance to live another life. With a loving mother and a deadbeat father Dai Kun chose to live his life carefree and adventurous. He felt no need to live the aimless and monotonous life he had previously lived. Despite the backwards civilization compared to earth he felt adequate with their living style as he found out that instead of research and advancement in science, the people of this planet cultivate martial arts. Eager with this discovery when Dai Kun turned ten he sought his mother's permission to be sent to a small sect within the city.

Despite her concern for his safety, after excessive nagging she finally gave in to his requests. She paid a merchant passing by their town to bring Dai Kun along. She then gave him some silver to pay for the entry fee to take the admission test.

Before Dai Kun left his mother gave him a small crystal pendant and was told to keep hold of it as it was a memento of his father who left them when he was born. He felt reluctant to take it as he never felt any attachment toward this father of his, but despite that his mother insisted on taking it. Slowly he left in a carriage looking back at the only kin he truly felt affection for in both lives. His heart ached being separated but he steeled himself as he wished to live differently. But not everything is as wishy washy as the novels of earth portray the main characters journey to be protected by plot armor galore. No, this is where tragedy struck like it never should have.

A week after arriving to the city Dai Kun had found a small inn to reside. The following day he proceed to take the admission test. After a series of multiple tests it was found that mentally he was a genius but his physical constitution put him to a mediocre standard. This result gave him a slightly above average potential in terms of cultivation. The sect then admitted him in as an outer sect disciple with rather cold treatment.

Dai Kun was never fazed or discouraged he just felt that it was expected with his current aptitude. He believed that with the knowledge of the myriad novels he read he would show everyone how much of a genius he truly would be. To some extent it truly did help him progress in terms of cultivating. The first realm of cultivation a mortal could achieve was Qi gathering. Broken down into 9 realms Dai Kun after a month was easily able to achieve peak 9th Stage Qi Gathering with the help of his advanced comprehension from having a mind cultivated by a civilization advanced in sciences and application.

Cultivating so fast Dai Kun thought he would be praised and worshiped for his abilities but soon found out how wrong he was. Although he had incredible comprehension due to the novels he had read that didn't take into account how to truly understand and comprehend human nature. Due to his lack of interaction with others in both lives his perspective on how others looked at him was severely crippled. He believed other people only looked at him as if he was someone insignificant to even be bothered with. The only other way he thought else wise was from his mother who only looked at him with loving sight. He never thought about the complexity of the human mind, as an example, someones best friend could be the ones spreading lies to ruin their career, there are two sides of a coin its all down to luck which side you'll see after a simple flip.
