7 Chapter 7

Hyun Na Bi woke up the next day. It was 4 am and when she looked around making sure it was the same as the previous day. She was used to waking up at 4 am now that she woke up even without an alarm.

Hyun Na Bi's lips curved automatically into a smile when she saw that she was still 22. She was a little bit scared to fall asleep the before day, worried that she may wake up and be 36 again. If she was with the Park's she had to get out of bed sharp at 4, but now she could sleep longer. It was Sunday and she need not wake up even in the morning, she could stay in bed until late afternoon or evening if she wants. Hyun Na Bi went back to sleep to get the much needed rest and woke up only when her phone was ringing nonstop.

Hyun Na Bi received a message from a number asking when she would sign the contact for moving into the house. She read through the entire chat history to know who was chatting with her and the exact details of the contract they were talking about.

Hyun Na Bi remembered what it was about. In the past life Hyun Na Bi had stayed in that apartment for two years. Through it was expensive she rented that place just to live opposite to Jin Yong. She had worked part time and used up her entire savings just to live next to him.

It was about signing the contract for that house and Hyun Na Bi felt that it would be rude to reject the offer through text message so she planned to meet them in the evening to let them know that she had changed her mind. She lived in the dorm right now and that was the most affordable place for a student. Hyun Na Bi was not ready to waste her money on renting an apartment.

When Hyun Na Bi met them and informed them about her decision, they did not take it lightly. The house owner was quite angry with her as she had made them wait for a month for her to sign the contract. But she wasn't bothered much; last time they had extorted money from her as much as they could just because she was desperate to get that place. So the house owner and his wife were causing a huge scene asking her to sign the contract but Hyun Na Bi had made up her mind; she wouldn't waste her money on this.

The man was screaming, "You shouldn't have made us wait a month if you didn't want to live here"

But Hyun Na Bi tried to civil as possible, "I know and I'm sorry about that. I thought it would be bad behavior to talk about this over a chat and that's why I came personally. "

The women started yelling, "Then pay rent for a month if you know that"

Without giving her a chance to answer the couple were screaming nonstop loud enough for the entire building to hear.

Hyun Na Bi sighed, "Wahhh… I really can't believe you people"

The neighbors who had crowded were listening to the fight and the house owner was trying to make her look bad.

The house owner was yelling, "We turned down so many people because you promised us that you would rent this place. How are you going to make up for that?"

Last time they had charged her double for everything and extracted so much money from her but now Hyun Na Bi said clearly, "You increased the rent just because I badly wanted this place and now you're making me the villain"

"Don't talk nonsense you evil wench… We did not charge you more. We are just an old couple trying to survive with the rent from this house…. At such an young age… Are you trying to scam us? "

"I'm really trying to have a civil conversation and it would be best if you do that too"

"Pay the rent for one month you wasted…"

"Fine let's go to the police. Let's see what they have to say"

Saying so, Hyun Na Bi started walking towards the door but they did not move. They knew that Hyun Na Bi can file a case against them for this if she wants to because they haven't officially signed any contract yet. No one else had spoken to the house owner regarding renting that place but when Hyun Na Bi approached him and was ready to pay how much ever he wants, he made use of that opportunity.

Hyun Na Bi knew that they would no longer bother and started walking out. The door was wide open and the noise had definitely attracted a crowd.

Hearing this commotion, Jin Yong also came to the door.

Hyun Na Bi was about to leave the place when Jin Yong stopped her, "where were you yesterday?"

"Oppa…"

It took a minute for Hyun Na Bi to process that this was how Jin Yong looked now. Though she had seen him just before a few days, the difference between the two faces was tremendous. Hyun Na Bi just looked at him without saying a word. Earlier she did not know what was going with Jin Yong but now she knew. She no longer loved Jin Yong but still there was a small part of her that wanted him to be happy even after everything that he did to her.

When Hyun Na Bi did not answer, Jin Yong repeated again, "Why weren't you in the dorm yesterday? Where did you go?"

Hyun Na Bi came out of her daze and answered him, "Shopping. Why?"

Without saying a word he left the place. There was a look of disappointment in Jin Yong's face. Hyun Na Bi could see that he still hadn't mastered the art of hiding his reactions without letting out what he was truly feeling. Hyun Na Bi saw Jin Yong shutting the door loudly and enter his house but she was not bothered. She had far more serious issues to be concerned about than worry about Jin Yong's tantrums.

Suddenly remembering why she came here, Hyun Na Bi turned around and asked the couple, "Why aren't you both leaving? Come on… Let's go to the police"

When the couple did not move, Hyun Na Bi left the place without a backward glance. The couple knew that they would be reprimanded for asking insane rent to a college girl with whom they haven't even signed a contract.

Hyun Na Bi was relieved that one problem was over. She was on her way to her dorm and scrolling through her phone thoughtlessly and that is when she noticed the date.

It was July 8th and that means yesterday was July 7th. Jin Yong's birthday. No wonder he looked angry and disappointed. Was he expecting a gift from her after what he did to her?

Hyun Na Bi murmured under her breath, 'Well he can be angry if he wants, he rejected me just the day before'

Since she had woken up late in the afternoon, when she returned to her dorm, it was almost night time. Hyun Na Bi looked at her messy room. Instead of posters of bands and celebrities, she had Jin Yong's photos pasted all over her room. She took that all off one by one. Next she looked at her closet. All her old clothes were either girly or uncomfortable and she cleared her wardrobe.

Next she removed all the posters from her room. It did not take more than an hour for Hyun Na Bi to clear out the room and at last when she was done there were four boxes which contained something related Jin Yong and Hyun Na Bi shoved it to the corner of the room. All those were completely useless to her now. She looked at her shabby bed and all the small room she lived in. This life looked like a fall from the luxurious life she had but Hyun Na Bi would chose this life anytime over the life she had at the Park's.
