Chapter 32

In the three years together in college, Jin Yong had never told Hyun Na Bi a word about this.

Jin Yong continued, "She said that my I was an illegitimate child who would have been killed if my father or his wife knew about my birth and that's why she had hidden me for so long. It was the Jin family and she wanted her son, me to go back to the Jin family and live a rich life which I couldn't enjoy all these years. She was in a coma for so long and she had been awake for just a few months and she had found me after all this time."

Hyun Na Bi couldn't stop herself from saying, "Why didn't you tell me all this then? We could have sorted it out together"

"I did not want to trouble you"

"Continue…"

"You know that I grew up without family. So when I came to know that I was about to have a huge family I couldn't miss it…"

Jin Yong's eyes did not move a second from Hyun Na Bi's face as he was speaking.

"I went to see the Jin family and they were not so welcoming. I was chased out by my mother and my father said that he never had any illicit relationship with my mother and I was not his son. It hurt. My father made sure that we wouldn't be able to set foot at the city again and he chased us out. I knew that I wouldn't be welcomed with open arms but this hurt and that's when mother said that we should take revenge. I agreed."

"For more than two years I prepared myself. I was trained in everything including how to kill. It was hard but I was ready to bear anything as long as I got revenge on the family and got back with you. In the meantime I forgot about everything. My only focus was on following the plan my mother made for me and reaching that goal. She did not want me to be distracted by anything and I agreed. That was why I did not contact you all that time."

Jin Yong paused. Recalling all the regretful moments in his life was hard. This was the first time he ever spoke out about this.

Jin Yong continued, "But when I heard news about your father's death I couldn't stay away. She stopped me but I wanted to be near you. I made a mistake telling you where I will be going. Maybe if I haven't said then you wouldn't have suffered. We would have still had a chance."

There was a long pause. Neither of them said a word and the silence was broken by the staff bringing in food for both of them along with Jin Yong's medicine.

Hyun Na Bi urged him to complete the story, "Continue"

Jin Yong started speaking once again, "That woman who was my mother blackmailed my father and did whatever she could and somehow made him accept us… or just me…. When he saw the DNA report that I was his son he couldn't leave me alone. That's how I entered the Jin residence. My mother was not accepted by father and our plan to take everything from them was still in full force."

"I entered college. There were not many rich heiresses in the campus and my mother was searching for the best one. Heiress Ahn Se Na was selected to be my fiancée by my mother when she heard the news that Ahn Se Na will be joining the college when I am in the second year. I was not expecting you to join but I could not tell you how happy I was to see you. I wanted to tell you everything but mother convinced me otherwise and I knew that you will be in danger if I said anything. So I lied to you. I ignored you and took Ahn Se Na as my girlfriend when I did not want to even look at her."

Hyun Na Bi asked Jin Yong the question even though she was not sure she wanted to know, "What happened later? Did you marry her? Was she your first wife?"

But Jin Yong simply answered, "She was just a means to get to the end goal for me."

Not satisfied with the answer, Hyun Na Bi asked him once again, "What happened to Ahn Se Na after the engagement?"

Jin Yong shook his head. Ahn Se Na was just a stepping stone for him and as soon as they were engaged he had gotten what he wanted and gotten rid of her without a second thought. He had never thought about Ahn Se Na even once until now when Hyun Na Bi had brought up her name. Even his first marriage was just a business deal. 

Jin Yong said indifferently, "Their Company went bankrupt after I had changed all their assets to my name and she along with her parents died within a year"

"You mean the Ahn's committed suicide?"

Jin Yong did not look guilty but something flashed in his eyes. Hyun Na Bi was not sure she wanted to hear the rest of the story. It looked like it was just the beginning of his journey and he was already ruthless.

Hyun Na Bi looked at him almost like accusing him, "Then?"

Jin Yong completed the story in a single sentence, "I secretly bought the shares from my father's company and along the way I hurt many people"

"You did what?"

"I killed lots of people who were in my way"

"How many?"

"So many that I lost count."

Hyun Na Bi knew that no one could reach his position without a single stain along the path but this was just too much. Jin Yong had killed so many people and were responsible for the death of so many others and it did not look like he regretted it.
