26 Chapter 26

Hyun Na Bi was not sure when she slept but she woke up when her phone rang nonstop. Hyun Na Bi had the worse hangover she had ever felt when she woke up and the ringtone was making her headache worse. Controlling her urge to throw it away and smash it into pieces, she answered the phone without looking at who was calling her.

Jeong Hyun Joo's voice could be heard screaming from the other side of the phone, "Na Bi Na Bi… NA BI…."

This irritated Hyun Na Bi and she yelled back, "What What What??? Why are you shouting?"

"Did you forget that we have presentation today?"

Hyun Na Bi had no idea what she was saying, "What?"

Jeong Hyun Joo repeated once again, "We have to present the assignment today as a team. Where are you?"

The only fact Hyun Na Bi could make out of the conversation was that she had to leave now, "Fuck I'm hammered"

"What?"

"I'll be there on time"

Seeing Hyun Na Bi's confused state, Jeong Hyun Joo stopped her, "NO don't come. I will manage" but Hyun Na Bi cut her call.

Hyun Na Bi looked around, she was not sober and had no idea how she ended up here or what happened here. All she knew was that she had to leave now. Around her several bottles were rolling and in the other side of the room Nam Joon Woo was sleeping at feet distance and Hyun Na Bi kicked him trying to wake him up. Nam Joon Woo opened his eyes in a confused state and looked at Hyun Na Bi who was kicking him.

Hyun Na Bi repeated what she heard, "Get up. We have presentation"

Nam Joon Woo had no idea what she was saying, "What?"

"We have to leave now we have to present the assignment with the team."

Nam Joon Woo had no idea that they had to do any assignment, "What presentation?"

But Hyun Na Bi also had no idea what this was about, "I have no idea. Get up"

Hyun Na Bi still had the clothes that she had worn yesterday and she changed into it with much difficulty. She had left the saloon and gone directly to the party so she had all her things with her. When she came out of the room Nam Joon Woo was ready to leave.

Nam Joon Woo was a bit sober now, he asked her, "Are you okay?"

"Let's leave"

"I think you should go back to your place"

Hyun Na Bi placed a finger on his lips, making him shut his mouth, "Shhh… don't talk"

Nam Joon Woo knew that he was going to regret taking her out. He could see that she was not in her senses but he couldn't convince her to stay back either.

Nam Joon Woo called a cab since he had drunk so much the last night and did not want to risk their safety. As soon as they got into the car Hyun Na Bi was leaning against his shoulder comfortably wearing his shades to block the bright light. Nam Joon Woo was looking at Hyun Na Bi from time to time. It was almost 4.30 am when Hyun Na Bi curled up to sleep and now it was just 7.30. Nam Joon Woo had sobered a bit but Hyun Na Bi was in a worse condition. It looked like she was still fully drunk.

Nam Joon Woo switched on his phone which he had turned off last night after he left the party. There were missed calls and messages from his brother, his father's assistant, his father's secretary and that was the reason why he had switched off his phone. After his mother's death, being with his family and pretending as if everything was normal was not an easy task and he did not want to do that either. But it was mandatory to attend all such events and he had shown his face and that was all he could do. Seeing that woman stand next to his father smiling happily, made his blood boil and so he chose to leave early as much as he could. It looked like his father was angry but he did not care. It never bothered him in the past and he was always rebelling against his father after his mother's death and his father's anger meant nothing to him now either.

Then Nam Joon Woo turned his focus to Hyun Na Bi. She was clutching her stomach and it looked like she was in pain but not a sound came out of her mouth.

"Does your stomach hurt?"

Hyun Na Bi did not answer. Her head was hurting, her stomach was aching and she could not hear a word that Nam Joon Woo said.

Hyun Na Bi opened her eyes when the cab stopped in front of her dorm. She could see that he had taken her to the dorm but she did not want that. Hyun Na Bi had heard that Jeong Hyun Joo wanted her in her classroom and she was not ready to do anything else other than that.

Without getting down, Hyun Na Bi said to Nam Joon Woo, "Take me to class. We have an important presentation"

Nam Joon Woo was trying hard to convince her, "You are in no state to do that"

Hyun Na Bi was ready to get down, "Fine I can walk from here to the university"

Seeing the stubborn Hyun Na Bi, Nam Joon Woo had no choice but to take her to class. It was better to keep her with him than leave her alone.

At last when they got out of the cab, Hyun Na Bi was swaying in her steps and Nam Joon Woo was holding her trying hard to not make it obvious for people that she was totally hammered.

Jeong Hyun Joo's eyes widened when she saw Hyun Na Bi walk into the class with Nam Joon Woo, "Why the hell are you in class right now?"

Hyun Na Bi laid down flat on her desk as soon as she sat down without waiting a second, "I don't know"

Jeong Hyun Joo could see that Hyun Na Bi was a mess right now, "You reek of alcohol"

"I know"

Jeong Hyun Joo was frantically trying to wake up Hyun Na Bi and send her back, "Go back to the room now before anyone notices. You don't want to get suspended"

Hyun Na Bi lifted her head and held her head in her hands pressing the temple, "I feel like my head is about to explode"

Nam Joon Woo "I told you not to drink on an empty stomach"

Hyun Na Bi was whining, "When did you say that? I want water. I'm parched"

Nam Joon Woo shook his head and got up, "Wait here I will get you something for your hangover"

Nam Joon Woo knew that Hyun Na Bi would be in huge trouble if the professor finds out and even giving her sleeping pills would be better than being in her current state. She was totally drunk right now and a ticking time bomb and Nam Joon Woo wanted to diffuse the situation before Hyun Na Bi got into some serious trouble.

The class was almost full and everyone was focusing on their presentation discussing with their group but Hyun Na Bi was in her own world to notice anything. Two minutes after Nam Joon Woo left, Hyun Na Bi got up to leave.

Jeong Hyun Joo stopped her, "Where are you going? Take your things before you leave"

Hyun Na Bi wanted to ask Nam Joon Woo to get her water "I have to speak with him. I'll be back" and her drunken brain couldn't remember that this could be done through a single call without leaving the place. Jeong Hyun Joo did not want to cause a scene and when she was about to follow Hyun Na Bi out, her boyfriend was asking unnecessary questions and by the time she turned around, Hyun Na Bi was nowhere to be seen

Nam Joon Woo returned a few minutes later and he couldn't find Hyun Na Bi anywhere. The seat where Hyun Na Bi was sitting was empty and he saw a worried Jeong Hyun Joo sitting nearby.

Nam Joon Woo asked Jeong Hyun Joo, "Where is she?"

Jeong Hyun Joo was scared now, seeing Nam Joon Woo return alone, "What? She followed you out. Where is she?"

"Fuck. (Nam Joon Woo kicked a table turning heads)."

Seeing the class look at him, he silently whispered to Jeong Hyun Joo, "Let's go and search for her. She must be in some restroom if she is not in her room"

"What?"

"She's drunk. So don't tell anyone and search quietly"

Nam Joon Woo was ready to leave but the professor had entered the classroom and they couldn't leave the room. The entire time, Nam Joon Woo was tapping his feet nervously waiting for the class to get over. Hyun Na Bi had left her cell phone along with her things so there was no way for them to contact her. He could remember what happened last night because he drank so little compared to Hyun Na Bi. She had drank so much on an empty stomach and with so little sleep Nam Joon Woo couldn't stop thinking about what she would be doing right now. Hyun Na Bi's group had been scheduled to present the following week and he was getting more tensed that they may have come to class for no reason.

The moment the professor stepped out, Nam Joon Woo grabbed Hyun Na Bi's things and left the class almost immediately in a hurry, urging Jeong Hyun Joo, "Goo… she's been gone for an hour now"
