25 Chapter 25

Alcohol was what Hyun Na Bi used to drown her sorrows daily in the past. She could say that she was an addict. So this time she did not want to go down the same path but she needed a drink now. Seeing her dead sister alive safe and sound along with her mother was not something Hyun Na Bi had expected. Then had they been cheating her and her father all along? Hyun Na Bi was not ready to even think about it now.

So many thoughts were running in Hyun Na Bi's mind. She had tried to contact her mother so many times in the past few days but not once did her mother return her call. She had spoken to her grandmother who was all alone in the village and had promised to come visit her soon. Her grandmother had told her that her mother hadn't contacted her either and now Hyun Na Bi could understand the reason. Her mother cared more about money than anything else and now since her daughter had married someone rich of course she wouldn't be bothered about anything else.

As far as Hyun Na Bi knew, her mother had left the village before six years and (she thought) Hyun Dan Bi had died before eight years. Then all this time they were enjoying their life when her father was suffering. Hate and betrayal that was all she felt at the moment. She hadn't noticed the tears flowing down her eyes as she stared out the window thinking did she come back just to see all this?

Hyun Na Bi's father died early because of Hyun Dan Bi passing away early and her mother not being by his side to take care of him. But seeing them both alive, it showed to Hyun Na Bi that it was all useless. Her father had died for no reason. He shouldn't have mourned for Hyun Dan Bi's death when she was totally alive and happy.

Throughout the ride Hyun Na Bi was quiet; Nam Joon Woo kept looking at her but her eyes were looking out through the window lost in her own world. Only when he opened the door Hyun Na Bi realized that the car had stopped moving.

Initially Nam Joon Woo wanted to take her to some other place but seeing her tears he had taken her straight to his home.

Hyun Na Bi wiped the tears as she got down. She hadn't noticed where they were going and she did not know where he had taken her.

Hyun Na Bi asked him, "Where are we?"

Nam Joon Woo replied calmly, "At my place" as he took her inside.

If it was some other time Hyun Na Bi would have reacted differently but now all she wanted to do was drink. Though Nam Joon Woo lived with his family he had a place of his own. He came here when he did not want any human interaction and no one knew about this place including his father or maybe his father knew and pretended like he didn't. Either way Nam Joon Woo was not bothered about him. Nam Joon Woo had never brought anyone here but the look on Hyun Na Bi's face tugged his heart and he did not want to leave her alone or take her to some other public places where other people may be present. made him think that she wanted to be alone.

Hyun Na Bi was standing near the floor to ceiling window looking out at the city and Nam Joon Woo returned with a wine bottle.

Hyun Na Bi was staring outside looking at the river when Nam Joon Woo walked inside the room. He couldn't take his eyes off her but he mentally smacked himself and walked to her side.

Nam Joon Woo showed the bottle of wine to her "Is this good enough?"

Hyun Na Bi after a single glance at the bottle asked him, "Do you have whiskey?"

Hyun Na Bi was not used to drinking whiskey at that age but she needed something strong to clear her head and so she went for her usual choice that she drank when she got older. She was a light head until she became a heavy drinker after she came to know about Park Dae Hyun's affair. Hyun Na Bi was sure her body couldn't take much but she wanted this, the pain and hurt was too much for her.

Nam Joon Woo had seen Jin Yong in the party with Ahn Se Na and his mind kept telling him that Hyun Na Bi must be sad cause of that but he had a tiny feeling that there may be more to the story than what meets the eye. Hyun Na Bi had looked totally fine after she kissed him and this had been bothering him during the entire ride

So Nam Joon Woo asked her directly, "Is this because of Jin Yong?"

Hyun Na Bi sighed, "He's not the only person in my life who can make me… feel things…"

"What happened?"

"What happens when a dead person comes to life? Should I be happy that they were no longer dead or should take revenge on them for the pain they caused?"

"I am not very good with hypothetical questions"

"It was a rhetorical question. I did not expect an answer from you"

"Then shall we start?" Nam Joon Woo was shaking the bottle in front of her eyes.

And Hyun Na Bi could never refuse, "Gladly"

The entire night they drank. By the end of the night a bottle and a half of whiskey was empty but Hyun Na Bi was not yet done. Another bottle of vodka was opened and it went on until it was almost dawn.
