Chapter 15

Hyun Na Bi couldn't believe she had missed this in her last life. She had partied the entire night in the club with Nam Joon Woo's friends from her university whom she had never met before. While the others drank, she did not take a single drop of alcohol. It wasn't hard to abstain from alcohol now. Hyun Na Bi had found solace in alcohol in the dark period of her life in the past life but now she hadn't drunk till now and she was quite proud of herself. Nam Joon Woo's friends were weird… but fun and that was all she needed. They were pretty nice to get along with and she had spent the entire night dancing and she did not need alcohol to get high. The mood in the club was enough for her to get high and Nam Joon Woo had to drag her home with difficulty. Hyun Na Bi did not want the night to end but since the sun was about to come out, she had to leave.

When Hyun Na Bi reached her dorm it was almost 5 am and she had fallen asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. Hyun Na Bi was too lazy to even change into something comfortable and had removed just her shoes and flopped down on the bed.

Hyun Na Bi woke up late in the evening after a good night's sleep, actually a good day's sleep. Her mind was relaxed and she was able to sleep peacefully without any worry in her mind. Hyun Na Bi woke up only when Jeong Hyun Joo was shaking her hard trying to somehow wake her up.

Hyun Na Bi could hear that Jeong Hyun Joo was saying something but her mind was still foggy so she placed a pillow over her head and tried to go back to sleep.

But Jeong Hyun Joo pulled the pillow covering her face and screamed at her, "Where did you go last night? I've been trying to wake you up for hours"

"Hmm?"

"Someone has been waiting for you"

"Hmm?"

"Get up. NOW"

Hyun Na Bi sat on the bed thinking for about a whole minute where she was and how did she end up here. Slowly her mind became clearer and she understood what Jeong Hyun Joo had been screaming to her the entire time. She finally got up to meet the person who had been waiting for her.

Hyun Na Bi walked outside after making herself presentable. She did not know anyone outside her college and except her grandmother no one would check up on her. Hyun Na Bi was curious to see who would disturb her peaceful weekend.

Hyun Na Bi looked around and except a couple there was no one else in that place.

When Hyun Na Bi was about to go inside, she heard someone calling out, "Agasshi (Young lady)"

Hyun Na Bi was surprised to see that the couple was actually the landlord who owned the apartment opposite to Jin Yong's.

Hyun Na Bi turned around and walked towards them, "Ms. Hyun Na Bi"

They were definitely not the people she was expecting to see, "What are you doing here? Why did you come to see me?"

The man without wasting a second extended his hands, "Here are the keys for the house Ms. Hyun."

Hyun Na Bi was confused now, "Huh?"

"It's the key to our house"

"Okay… Why are you giving it to me?"

"You have paid the lease amount for next two years so of course we have to give it to you"

Hyun Na Bi had no idea what they were talking about right now, "What are you talking about?"

The wife said to her, "Since you paid the entire sum, you can move in even today. Here's the contract"

Hyun Na Bi looked around trying to find out if anyone was playing a prank on her right now, "I never paid anything"

Seeing that no one else was around, Hyun Na Bi rubbed her eyes, making sure that she was fully awake and they weren't playing with her.

The wife gave her the stamped contract, "Here look at the contract"

Hyun Na Bi read the document again and again. It had her name on it and the last time she checked, she did not have so much money in her account. Even if she had so much money, she wouldn't have spent it unnecessarily on the apartment.

Hyun Na Bi voiced out loudly the thought that had been running on her mind, "Why would you let anyone pay for me and sign a contract in my name?"

But the woman did not give her an option to even refuse this, "Don't be like this. We apologize for being a little harsh the last night but don't play jokes with us."

But Hyun Na Bi was still reluctant since she had no idea who would spend so much money on her, "How can I accept something when I never paid for it?"

They shoved the keys in her hand along with the pass code for the house and left saying, "You can move in today. We have cleaned the house for you and the house is fully furnished"

Hyun Na Bi wasn't sure if she was dreaming or if this was real. The weight of the keys in her hand was the only reason which made all this real for her.

Who could have paid the entire rent? The only person who came to her mind was Jin Yong. She did not have any rich friends other than Nam Joon Woo but he had no idea about this, so definitely he was ruled out of the list. The only person who had seen the ruckus in the apartment was Jin Yong so she was almost sure that he must have done this but still she had a feeling at the pit of her stomach that she was missing something here.

Hyun Na Bi was sitting on the bench outside the dorm when she saw Jin Yong walking past her. He flashed a smile and winked at her then he was on his way. Hyun Na Bi looked around and saw that there was no one except her so that meant he must have smiled at her.

Was he trying to prove that he did all this and impress her by paying the rent for the house?

But Hyun Na Bi became a bit relaxed after seeing Jin Yong's behavior. Maybe it was him who did all this. She pushed all doubts to the back of her mind. If she wanted to take a break for a year or two, then she would no longer be able to stay at the dormitory and having a place like this is better. She did not feel like it hurt her pride because she would be in the streets if she had no other accommodation. And moreover it was not like she begged him to pay the rent, he had paid for her and she was happy to accept it without any issues.

Since it was almost evening, she decided to check out the house the next day after she the classes were over.
