73 The Party

Meanwhile, Callista just enter an Italian Restaurant. After she left the company, she went shopping to buy a gift for Carla which she forgot to do when they headed to Haroo Town.

Three hours of spending looking for a gift, she bought her the latest DSLR camera and the album of the 'Serene Band'. Callista clearly remember how a lunatic fan she is when it came to that ballad rock band.

After ordering her food, Callista slacken on her seat. She finally remembers to call someone, thus she took her phone out and dialed Christian's number which she got from Aunt Rona.

Four rings after the call, she heard a deep, gentle voice from the other side, "Hello Sweetie, it's been a while"

Callista can't help but raised her eyebrows, "I'm quietly shocked that you knew it was me, where did you get my contact number?"

On the other side, Christian just lightly chuckle, "I got your number from Aunt Rona, I was about to call you first, but you got to me first. How are you now?"

"I see. I called you to say that I'm sorry I wasn't able to attend your party, something happened and I'm fine now." Callista replied and both of them became quiet not knowing what to say.

It was Christian who broke the silence, "It's been six years, I miss you badly."

Hearing him say that, Callista didn't know how to respond, thus she replied, "It's been too long, I guess we have some things to talk about. Three days later at 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon, let's meet at the Garden of Lilies"

"Okay, I'll see you there. I also have some things to say to you" Christian replied, he still have something to say but he was left speechless.

"I'll end the call now, I'm still busy. See you later" Callista said and ended the call without waiting for his reply.

While Christian just look at his phone. Through the call, he can sense the awkwardness from her. Well, they haven't been in a communication for the past six years.

Christian knows that she already resigned at the restaurant, so why would she be busy now? She's not even living in her apartment. He just quietly wishes that nothing much had change, that she's still the same Callista he love dearly.

After the call, Callista took a deep breath to relax her tense muscle. Talking with him feels like she's cheating her hubby. To prevent any misunderstanding from her hubby, she would talk first to Christian to clarify their relationship and break things off with him.

Even if she took the life and live as Callista, she can't push herself to like or love someone she didn't want. Living as another entity, it is inevitable for her to hurt someone's feeling.

That's why, as early as possible, if she want to live a happy and meaningful life, she needed to clarify things and stable her life to prevent any future misunderstandings.

After taking her late lunch from the restaurant, she went back home to prepare herself for the party which will start at six in the evening at the Golden Coast Hotel.

Arriving at the mansion, Callista asks Butler Yedel to wrap the gift for her, while she searches for an outfit in her wardrobe. Few hours later, it's almost time for her to leave, thus Callista finish up fixing herself and went down to get the gift she asked to be wrap.

Butler Yedel who is carrying the wrapped gift almost drops it down when he saw the Young Madam.

"Uncle Yedel, I look stunning right?" Callista said and twirl in delight to showcase her dashing outfit.

Butler Yedel was left speechless, he didn't know how to respond. Seeing the way she dress, if the Young Master sees this, he wonders if she would be able to get out from the gates of the mansion, "Young Madam is definitely beautiful, but I don't think it's the best dress for you to go out"

Callista look at the way she dress and found nothing wrong with it. She just put her hand on her waist and look at Butler Yedel, "Uncle Yedel, don't tell Ashton that I go out like this, okay?"

Meanwhile, Ashton decided to go home early because he remembers that she will be going on a party later. Just when he reaches the living room, he heard her having a shady deal with his butler, "Where are you going?"

Ashton's voice resounded in the living room, he squinted his eyes and look at the dress she is wearing. Callista is dress in a silver glittering dress above the knee with a backless drop to the waistline. She's also wearing a four inch open toe pin heels, while her hair is in a messy braided buns.

Her dress is design to bring out her curves, that's why it is perfectly fitted in her body. Looking at her state, she look very sexy and alluring.

Seeing her hubby arrive, Callista went pale and quiet. The reason she dressed this way because she knew Ashton would be arriving late in the evening but she didn't expect him to go home early.

Callista just fix her composure and walk to him, "Hubby! I'm going to Carla's birthday party, it's just right to dress this way because it's a party!" she reasoned out but Ashton didn't buy what she said.

"No, you're not going out like this. Change your dress" Hearing his response, Callista frowned and stomped her feet off.

"No! I painstakingly dress up myself for three hours! I'm going to a PARTY, do you want me to dress in pajamas?"

Hearing her complains, Ashton didn't budge and he remained resolute on his decision, "Your way too beautiful, I'm afraid a lot of men will have their eye on you. If I have to change your dress in pajamas, then I would"

Callista just giggle when she heard his remarks, thus she throw herself and hug him and Ashton quickly catches her, "My hubby really loves me! Don't worry about other men! Before they could even approach me, I'll end up kicking them one by one" then she rained kisses on his face, making Ashton's face became full of red lipstick stain.

"Hubby, just let me go out now, Carla is already waiting and it will took while for me to change. I'll compensate you later!" Callista declared while Ashton's eyes squinted and flash with glint.

"Then I'll come to your friend's party" Ashton suddenly said making Callista get off from him.

"No! No! I can't even enjoy the party if you're there! My hubby is too handsome! I would be busy squatting flies around you! "Callista gestured her hands in 'no' manner.

After an hour of convincing Ashton, he finally let her go in exchange of the compensation which she didn't know what it would be.

At the entrance of the Golden Coast hotel, a black mercedez-maybach is parked and at the backseat Ashton is seating while Callista is heading out of the car, "Hubby! I'll be going now! I'll just call you later to fetch me!" Callista kissed him goodbye and went inside the hotel.

After Callista enter the hotel, Ashton also booked a room. He wouldn't be at ease if she leaves her alone. After booking the room, he also called his five elite men to ward off some guys who would have the audacity to touch her.
