Inside the CEO office after the meeting, it was already past 1;00 o'clock in the afternoon when the meeting is finish.

Christian is quietly sitting on the sofa while fiddling with his phone and Ashton is busy preparing and taking out the food Callista prepare for him.

Christian who is busy scrolling through his phone froze in his seat. He can smell the food permeating in the air, due to his sensitive nose he can clearly recognize the food.

No matter how long ago it was, he can clearly recognize that type of meal, thus he silently mumble the name of the food "Spicy beef curry"

Ashton who just finished preparing the food went back and sits next to Christian and pushes a plate of food in front of him.

"This is my wife's cook and she's a great chef. I guess I'll have no problem satisfying your palate" Ashton said, he clearly knows that he is a type of person with a big problem when it comes to food. You can call him a 'picky food eater'

Ashton just silently glances at him with a trace of hidden agenda in his eyes, while Christian watch the plate of food in front of him.

The spicy beef curry in front of them is both of their favorite food.

Christian took the spoon and scoop the rice and put the spicy beef curry atop of it with the sauce coating the rice and put it inside his mouth.

The juicy and tender beef, the right spices and level of spiciness melting in his mouth. This familiar cooking recipe, he clearly remembers it well without noticing how fast he scoops the food into his mouth while remembering his precious memory with her.

"Tan-tan! Come and taste my cooking! I cook your favorite spicy beef curry!" It was Callista during her teenager days. This was the time Aunt Rona started teaching her in culinary arts before Christian left and her leaving the orphanage.

"You just started cooking, don't spoil my favorite food" Christian replied while his face is half covered by the book he is reading and sneak a look at the food Callista put in front of him.

Callista's face turns red and pulled the book away from him, took a spoon and put it in his hand, "Hey! Even though I just started cooking, Aunt Rona said that my cooking skills is already at the level of a restaurant chef! Come on, just taste it! This won't kill you!"

Christian just slightly shake his head but with a slightly smile from his face, "Alright, alright! I'll taste it now" He said and started to taste the food she cooked.

"Hmm...Not bad, the beef is too chewy and I think you need to add more a little spice to enhance the sauce flavor."

"Tch, your palate is really sensitive! Well, just watch me and how I'll cook the best for you and I'll be able to satisfy your weird taste!" Callista declare while he just watches her determined face and a smile forming in his face.

Later on, every dishes she makes, he would be always the first one to taste and critic it, maybe that's why he got to be familiar the way she cooked and the food she made. He really could tell the difference between her cooking and to the others.

Aside from his personal chef, she is the other one whom he can trust when it comes to food.

While Christian is busy eating the food and reminiscing, Ashton stares at him with a complicated look.

"Easy with the food, do you like it very much?" Ashton said when he taps Christian at his shoulders.

Christian gulp down the food and embarrassingly replied, "Uhh, sorry about that. The food is just really delicious, your wife's cook reminded me of her."

Hearing what he just said, Ashton's eyes flash with a glint "Her? Is she your girlfriend that you told me about before you leave?"

Christian contemplated, he put down the spoon, wipe his lips with a napkin, seated in relax and smiled "Yes, tasting your wife's cook makes me want to taste her cooking once again, it's been ages that we still haven't met after I got back"

Ashton's heart is clearly filled with complicated feelings, he just deeply sighed and slowly asked "That girl, you still haven't mention her name to us, who is she?"

Christian took a side glance at him, with his silence, Ashton's heart is beating and thumping wildly like an insane man is drumming at it. Before Christian could reply, his phone started ringing.

Christian took out his phone from the table and widely smile when he saw who the caller and Ashton can clearly saw that happy smile plastered in his face, he took a quick glance on the caller's ID and he saw the 'Sweetie' word in it with two red hearts at the end.

"Speaking of, my sweetie is finally calling me. Let me answer this first, by the way her name is Callista Rashmoore" Christian said and stood up and leave the office without waiting for his reply.

He just asks her number from Aunt Rona. He decided that he would call her first but he didn't expect it that she would call first.

Christian felt elated and his hand tremble answering her call. With a deep and gentle voice, he answered, "Hello Sweetie, it's been a while"

While Ashton felt like someone drop a big bomb in his heart. Hearing her name come out from his lips and that endearment, he didn't want to believe it that the one Christian is talking about her with him for the past six years is nothing but his wife, Callista.

He just watches him left the office and answers her call. He had a lot of questions brewing in his mind.

If she is his girlfriend, then why did she marry me?

Why didn't she tell anything about her boyfriend from me?

Or is she just toying around with me knowing my relationship with him?

Ashton is left with a lot of speculations, but he could only guess and his heart is left in turmoil. He just quickly took his phone out and call her but it's just busy, indicating she's calling someone or out of line.

Ashton just took a deep breath and calms his raging emotions and remembers what she said. Trust each other and solve their misunderstandings. He should just wait for her explanation, and then he will know what to do.

But the pain and sadness in his eyes is clearly enough for one to see.
