18 Back to The Routine

Amanda.

The next day Amy and Jung had breakfast together.

Last night after her she told him she liked him too, Jung had kissed her and told her over and over again that she was the best thing that ever happened to him.

Amanda couldn't believe her luck. He adored her, he made her feel like a queen. She really liked him and wanted this all to work between them.

"This is awesome, why did I never order it?"

"I know right? I always order it," Jung said, taking a sip of his Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino.

"What are your plans for the day?" He asked.

"Babysitting, I'm getting tired of it," Amy sighed.

"At the Luck's right?"

"Yeah, a few more days and then it'll be over," She shrugged.

"How about I pick you up after you're free?"

"That's excellent! Please do pick me at nine."

"Alex! I'm here!" She called as she entered the living room at 4:05.

"Hello, Amy!" Alex came running downstairs and gave her a small kiss on the cheek.

"Did you enjoy your Christmas? " She asked, sitting down on the couch beside him.

"Yeah! It was so cool, Ansel let me open his presents for him. But they were boring, I had the coolest ones of all!"

"And what did you get?"

"I got an X box! and a remote control car, and..." Alex went on and on listing the things he got.

Ansel entered the room.

"Hi." He nodded casually at Amy who smiled an uneasy smile.

"How are you?" He asked, sitting down in front of her.

"I'm good, You?"

"Fine, Did you like the gift?"

Oh crap. The gift!

"Oh yes, Ansel there was no need to give me anything..."

"There was actually," He raised his eyebrows.

"It was beautiful, Thank you," She said.

"It was kind of a sorry gift, But I bought it a couple of days ago. I wanted it to be a Christmas present but things turned out differently,"

"Oh." Amy had nothing to say.

"But, I'm actually not sorry. I enjoyed the kiss and I'll kiss you whenever I fucking have the chance to,"

Amy sat up straighter.

"You know what? You speak my mind, Ansel,"

"Really babe?"

"Yeah,"

He stood up and approached her. She stood up too.

"I need you," With that, he leans in and...

"Hey?" Ansel waved his hand in front of her.

"Huh?" Amy blinked.

"Daydreaming?"

What the fuck. Why was she thinking about making out with Ansel freaking Luck?

"Yeah, No whatever."

"Gosh, You would never stop looking dead, will you?"

"Shut up, Asshole," Amy rolled her eyes at him.

"Don't swear in front of the little man," Meaning Alex.

"I already know many swear words. You taught me yourself!" Alex protested.

"Whatever, School in a few days. Will you follow me around the hallways?" Ansel demanded.

"Why are you so full of yourself? I would never follow you around,"

"Let's see, You can never resist my hotness,"

"Why are you even sitting here?"

"To make your life miserable," Ansel shrugged.

"God, I hate you."

"Same here, Cupcake."

"Now what is 'Cupcake'?" Amy demanded.

"You don't know what a cupcake is? Are you fucking serious?"

"Shut up, dickhead. I know what a cupcake is. I just... just don't call me that,"

"Whatever you say, Cupcake,"

"I told you to stop calling me that,"

"Okay, Cupcake."

Amy clenched her fists and took a deep breath.

"Oh God, Amy. Cooldown you look scary," Ansel grinned at her.

She glanced at the clock. 4:20.

"Amy, will you watch a movie with me?" Bless Alex to ask her at the right time, because if he hadn't asked she would have murdered Ansel Luck.

"Sure, which one?"

"The Angry birds' movie,"

"Ooh. Okay." She put up her feet on the couch and folded her arms. Concentrating on the T.V

He was staring at her. She could sense it. But it was better to ignore him. So she did.

Time passed. Ansel went out with his friends. Amanda put Alex to sleep and waited until Bella came home.

She left the house and found Jung's car standing in front of her house. She walked towards it, opened the passenger's door, and sat down.

"Hey, babe." Jung leaned in to kiss her.

"You look tired," He observed after pulling away.

"I guess I am," She nodded. She had brushed her hair before leaving Luck's residence. But her eyes had a tired look in them.

"Let me take you somewhere, where you can take a break,"

"Show me your place," She said. Jung looked at her.

"Already?" He raised his eyebrows and grinned.

"Shut up," She punched him playfully on his shoulder. He caught her hand in his.

"Come one, I'll show you my place," He smiled.

After a fifteen-minute drive, they reached a small, and comfortable-looking house.

"I live here with my best friend, Noah," Jung told her as they walked towards the door.

"Is this yours?" Amy asked.

"Yes, My mom and I bought it with our savings last year. Mom moved back to Korea to live with her parents. I chose to stay here for college and stuff, " He unlocked the door and led her inside "Noah has been with me since we were eight. He took a break from college along with me, and we decided to stay together here. We'll be joining college next year," The house was beautiful. Jung walked ahead of her leading her to the living room.

"Do you want a tour of the house?" Amy nodded.

"Come on."

He showed her the kitchen which was downstairs, then led her upstairs. There were four bedrooms. Two of them were occupied by Jung and Noah.

"Will it be too weird to take you to my room?" Jung asked.

"It's okay, we won't be doing anything, right?" Jung pretended to think about it.

"No one knows," He shrugged and wrapped his arm around her shoulders.

They entered his room. It was nice. A little messy.

His clothes were scattered across the floor. He had a single bed on the corner of the room alongside a bedside table. There was a couch near the window. And some framed pictures on the wall.

Jung had started to pick up his clothes from the floor. When he was done he turned and looked at Amy.

"Sorry, I don't clean out much," Amy smiled.

He tossed his clothes in the basket beside the couch.

His bed was neatly made.

"Come on, sit down," He motioned towards his bed. She sat down on the edge, not sure what to do.

She was in a boy's room.

She looked around nervously.

He sat down beside her and pulled her towards him.

"You'll fall down," He said. He held her hands in his.

Her heart was beating like crazy.

"So," She tried to say something.

"Yeah?" He looked into her eyes.

"So, don't you miss your mom?" Well done Amanda, You can actually speak!

"Of course, I do. But next year she's going to move back here along with my grandparents when I'll be in college. You know, they love me. So at least they'll be near me,"

"Which college did you go to?"

"Columbia University, I'll be joining it again,"

"Seriously? That is my dream college!" Amy's face lightened up at once.

"That's cool, You're in your junior year right?"

"Yeah,"

"So, are your parents alright with us you know, I'm three years older than you,"

"Oh yeah, they are fine with it. And you are not a drug dealer and have a couple of years left in college so that's cool,"

Jung laughed at the drug dealer's part.

"Seriously Amy, You were the missing part of my life," Amy looked up at him and a small smile crept up her lips.

"Really?"

"Yeah," Jung whispered.

She blushed.

"And you know what?" He asked, she looked up at him.

"Yeah?"

"I think I'm in love with you." He said. Amanda forgot to breathe.

"What?"

"I love you, Amanda." He whispered and leaned in. She leaned in too

When suddenly...

"Hello, you guys!"
