4 Chapter 3

The next day, I woke up at eight in the morning. I didn't bother to woke up early 'cause I don't have a class but I have my work later in the afternoon. Tommy will be our Acquaintance party and Audrey is so excited.

When I went down I saw my cousins in the kitchen eating their breakfast.

"Hey, Kiana, who's that guy last night? I saw you going out of his car." My cousin May ask with confusion.

I'm about to answer her when my cousin Ria talked.

"He's handsome, ask him if he has a cousin or what then give the number to me!" She exclaimed.

I can't blame them though 'cause Renzo is attractive, maybe his family has very nice genes.

"He's just a friend and his name is Renzo," I said.

They just nod.

When I finished eating my breakfast I went to my room and lay down on my bed, I opened my phone to check on my social media accounts.

I checked my Facebook first and suddenly Audrey's name was on the notification.

Audrey Garcia mentioned you in a post.

I opened it.

'Put a finger down if you have a crush on your neighbor.'

Audrey Garcia: Kiana Lauriz Noblefranca put your finger down.

The fudge is she insane? I wanna slap her right now! It's not true I don't have a crush on anyone!

I was about to log out when suddenly another notification popped up on the screen.

Renz Matthew Gallegos sent you a friend request.

I did not accept his friend request, instead, I stalked his account, his account is full of memes and he's very popular. His profile picture has 6k likes and almost all of it is heart reaction. While my profile picture only has 10 likes and all of it is my cousins.

It's so unfair!

At least I'm not included in the Facebook group named Active Famous Likers. Duh!

Before I got crazy thinking about how Renzo gained all those likes, I went outside to watch TV.

I noticed that we were all complete, including my nephews, Tito, and Tita. My mom is the only one who's not here.

"Good morning, Everyone!" I greeted them with a smile on my face.

"Kia, what time did you go home last night?" Grandma asked.

Beat.

"I-I got home late last night, Lola, there are so many customers in the coffee shop last night," I said defensively.

Ate May cleared her throat.

"Someone brought her home." My cousin May whispered.

Since she's just on my side, I simply pinched her.

"Shut up, Ate! Just eat, or do you want me to feed you?" I asked smiling sweetly at her.

She just rolled her eyes.

After we are I went back to my room to take a bath. After taking a bath I wore my plain white V-neck shirt and black dolphin short.

I laid in my bed and started reading some books. I almost forgot that I have to go to the coffee shop. I enjoyed reading books about Tourism and the cultures of different countries.

I hurried to get dressed and went downstairs, I immediately said goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa before leaving.

When I arrived at the coffee shop there are just a few students eating here in the coffee shop. Maybe they are preparing for the party. I don't even think about it.

I know they're just going to flirt there.

When my shift is over I went to the waiting shed to wait for a tricycle. After a few moments, my phone rang.

Unknown number calling...

I answered it 'cause it might be important.

"Hello, who is this?" I asked.

"Ah, ma'am, are you the one who ordered two boxes of donuts?" The person on the other line asked.

Huh, I can't remember ordering those.

"What? I didn't order that. It isn't me." I said.

"I'm sure it's you, ma'am. Here's the address, Abad street Sto. Rosario. The house with a green gate." He said.

Because of what he said I quickly called a tricycle.

"Can you wait for me there? I'm not at home. I'm going to check it first." I said before ending the call.

I hate those fake buyers, shit! They shouldn't be doing that, those delivery boys just want to earn money for their family.

As I approached our house I immediately saw the familiar car in front of our gate.

Wait... Instead of a delivery boy, a boy named Renzo greeted me.

"Ma'am! Only 450 pesos for you, I will not charge the gas I used." He said.

The heck!

"Are you out of your mind?" I asked.

He just laughed at what I said.

"I'm just kidding, I thought you could recognize my voice but you didn't." He said.

He handed me the box of donuts.

"What is this for? I don't have money." I said.

"No, this is for you. Audrey told me that you like donuts. We went to Tacloban earlier, so I bought it for you." He said.

"Ok, thank you," I said.

He was about to speak when Lola came out of the house.

You're a dead child.

"Kiana, why haven't you come in yet?" Lola asked.

She looks around and she was stunned when she saw Renzo.

"Good evening, madame." Reno greeted.

"Good evening, young man. Why don't you invite your friend inside, Kiana?" Lola said?

"Would you like to come in first?" I asked Renzo.

"As much as I wanted to, Lauriz, but maybe next time. Brent is inside my car, he's drunk." Renzo said.

"All right, I'll leave you first, be careful on the road," Grandma said.

When Grandma went inside I turned my head to Renzo.

"Anyway, what did you do in Tacloban?" I asked Renzo.

"Something happened, that's why." He said avoiding to answer my question. "You haven't accepted my friend request yet." He added.

"It's because you're just going to annoy me. Where did you get my number?" I asked, raising a brow.

"Audrey is the key." He said grinning.

Is that bitch my friend?

She doesn't act like one!

"I think I should go now." He said. "I'm going to fetch you tomorrow, be ready, okay?" He said before entering his car.

I heard Brent saying 'The heck, men! We went to Tacloban just to buy a fucking donuts! Love shit!"

"Shut up, you dumbass!" Reno scolded Brent. "We'll go now, Good night!" Renzo added.

"Good night, be careful!" I said before they disappeared from my sight.

When I entered our house, I saw my cousins staring intently at me.

"Who is that man?" Grandma asked.

"My friend, Lola. He's also a student in BiPSU." I said.

"Yesterday he's your driver, now he's a delivery boy. What a lucky bitch." My cousin May whispered.

"Go and take a rest," Grandma said.

I kissed her cheek before going inside my room.

I took a shower before going to bed.

Before I went to sleep I turned on my phone and I saw Audreys message.

Audrey: Hey, girl, I'll just go to your house tomorrow, be ready. Go to bed early so I won't have a hard time fixing you. Always remember that you're not beautiful, ok?

Instead of replying I just went to sleep.

The next day I woke up because my phone is ringing.

I looked at it

Renzo calling...

I answered it.

"Good morning pretty sunshine how beautiful are you this morning. Good morning dear Lauriz, good morning to you!" He sang.

The heck!

"Stupid! You dialed the wrong number!" I yelled at him.

"You can't fool me, Lauriz. Did you eat already? It's so early and you're head is already hot." He said.

"Fuck you!" I shouted.

"Whoah! Calm down, woman. I just want to remind you that I'm going to pick you up later." He said, laughing.

I was about to scold him when he ended the call. That freak!

At four o'clock in the afternoon, Audrey arrived at our house. She was carrying makeups and whatnot.

"Seriously, girl! It's so heavy, I feel like I'm exercising." She complained. "Go and take a bath, or do you want me to shower you? I'll pour boiling water on you." She said.

"Stop shouting, ok? I'll do it just stop shouting." I said.

After we quarreled I took a bath, and even if I'm in the CR I can still hear Audreys voice. Sometimes I'm wondering if she accidentally ate a megaphone or a microphone 'cause her voice is so loud!

After I took a bath I wore my house clothes and dried my hair while Audrey is taking a bath.

When she finished taking a bath she started applying makeup to my face.

"Audrey, don't put too much makeup," I said

She pouted "Why are you so beautiful?! Enviable!" She added while frowning.

When she finished fixing me she told me to get dressed 'cause she's still going to fix herself, she's scared that I might beat her later, she's crazy.

She let me wear a black off-shoulder silk dress above the knee paired with black three inches sandals.

I look at myself in the mirror, heck! I want to marry myself!

I'm still admiring myself when Audrey called me.

"Hey, Kiana! You've been staring at yourself for an hour now!" She shouted.

I rolled my eyes at her.

She's still fixing her sandals when her phone rang.

I accidentally saw the callers ID.

Brent calling...

She immediately picked her phone up and answered it.

"They're already downstairs, I'll just leave my things here, I'll pick it up tomorrow." She said.

She went down first because I forgot to wear the necklace that my mom gave me.

I walked down the stairs and Renzo's eyes darted at me while Brent and Audrey we're talking.

I suddenly got nervous because of Renzo's stares, my knees are slightly shaking.

I look at him, head to toe. He's wearing a simple black button-down long sleeve and his dog tag is showing.

What a gorgeous man.

Brent faked a cough to get our attention.

"What now? Are we just going to stare at each other?" Brent asked sarcastically.

"Let's go?" Renzo asked.

I nodded at him and said goodbye to Grandma and my cousins.

Renzo opened the door of his car for me. Wow, what a gentleman.

"Hop in, Lauriz." He said.

"Wait, how about Brent and Audrey?" I asked.

"Brent brought his car." He said.

I nodded at him before going inside his car.

Brent's car left first.

"Can we take a picture?" Reno asked.

"Yeah, why not?" I said.

He moved closer to me and he put his arms around me. I smiled at the camera, the second picture is he's looking at me while I'm looking at the camera sticking my tongue out.

"Can I put this on my Facebook story?" He asked.

"Of course," I said.

"Can I have another favor?" I just nodded. "Please stay with me, forever..."
