5 Chapter 5 - Arthur

"Hello." Arthur said in a welcoming tone but his appearance just says ' Go away ' or even, 'what do you want?'

"What can I do for you today, I made a painting yesterday about the city. I am sure it would look great in your walls as a furniture." He said advertising his work. It did look quite nice, There were paintings of Chinese houses, dragons, people, and the beautiful sun setting on the high mountains.

"We are not here for that, Arthur. We are here for this." My sister pulled out the USB.

"oh." Arthur said in astonishment and in a disturbing tone. "I am on vacation and there is work following me around?" He fixed his glasses. "No need for introduction yes? Please enter, it would be rude leaving a visitor when they just came here."

I looked around his place. It was filled with paintings, illustrations and drawings. It was beautiful. He is now my favorite artist. His paintings are so glamorous it even feels like you are seeing the real deal. He must be, he has to be a professional.

"wow.." I said quietly. "You made all this?" I asked him.

"Yup, it is pretty much my hobby. Painting helps me relax and drawing makes my imagination alive every time. Call it a passion but its merely just a gift." Arthur said expressively.

"So what do you want me to do with this?" Arthur asked.

"you already know." Nile said. I walked towards the window to see the scenery. It is nice, I could see everything from this high and by everything I saw Roger and a group of men entering the hotel.

"Roger is here." I said.

"Quickly Arthur." Nile said.

"How do they keep on finding us?" I asked.

"Your phones, you idiot." Arthur said grabbing my phone and smashing it. "My phone!" I was surprised he actually did that. I stared on what remains and almost cried.

A few minutes passed away.

Arthur was typing fast but I could hear footsteps already in the corridors.

"Faster they are already here." I panicked.

"Wait just 2 more..." He said.

Then there was a knock on the door. Everyone froze, well except Arthur.

"No time." Loise said as she grabbed Arthur into the balcony, telling me to bring the laptop.

We ran down the emergency stairs, we heard gunshots in the room and men entering it.

"They are not here." one man said, Roger went to the balcony and spotted us.

"There, there!" He shouted and grabbed his gun and surprisingly but expectedly he started shooting. Well it is quite reasonable if he shot Arthur, Loise or Nile but he is trying to shoot me...ME! I quickly dodged it. He quickly gave up on me when I walked through the alley as he had to go down and catch us. He did not use the stairs...(inhale) he flipping parkour his way down which was actually quite faster.

The other people just used the stairs. He started shooting making a ruckus in the streets of China. I was afraid that innocent people might get involved. We split up as Arthur went with me and Loise and Nile made a distraction.

We ran until we were blocked by Roger with his gun pointing at Arthur. "Did you really think I was stupid to fall in a trap of "run and distract"?" He said.

"Well yeah.." I whispered but he heard me.

"Shut up, Carl. You know nothing." He pointed the gun at me.

"How can I know if you did not tell me?" I asked, "Why do you want the USB?"

He gripped his gun tighter, "I need the weapon." He told me, "Why?" I asked.

"So I can take over the government and take power duh? but of coarse its just gonna be a threat."

He said.

Power...so everything involved power.

"We don't have to do this." I said then Arthur pulled out a gun but after he shot, Roger shot also.

Roger was shot in the chest, there was no was for him to survive and Arthur too. Although he was shot in the arm he was loosing blood and I came to him. "You can't die yet Arthur." I said

"Just one more password then it is unlocked... oh God....I don't want the last face I will see is you." Arthur weakly said.

"You talk too much when you die." I said staring down at him with pity.

"I do not like pity... especially from strangers...The pattern for the last password is a letter "M". You can unlock it afterwards." Arthur said as he weakly closes his eyes. I saw the struggle to live but also his unhappiness and loneliness. May he rest in peace...

Although I did not know him much, I felt like mourning for him. I removed the laptop out of the case and pressed the power switch. It turned on and the password for the pattern was there. I unlocked it and the USB file had only 2 folders, it looks normal. One is named Nuclear Weapon and the other one is named Next Generation.

I knew what I had to delete and deleted the folder named Nuclear Weapon. I wanted to know the secret Loise said that contains in this folder. Since its not something harmful to the world I wanted to check it out but some part of me says 'no'.

So, in short, curiosity got the better of me and I decided to open it.

When I pressed the Next Generation, I saw a video and it was only that. I got the earphones and pressed the start button.

The video began with the sound of fire burning...A chill went from my spine that made me sit up straight. I wonder what kind of fudging secret this is.
