25 Chapter 25

The foolish man before me was about to become my test dummy, when I felt a strange sensation begin in my stomach. What was that? Guilt? Ugh! Morality! I pushed aside such thoughts and prepared to attack the warrior.

A purple mist appeared silently behind Axel, condensing quickly until it formed a woman in purple armor. A woman I had seen less than two hours ago. The Avatar representing Legendary gaming, Taxila!

She smiled at me and lightly touched the man on his shoulder. His body immediately disintegrated into a flaming pile of purple ashes.

Having no opponent I lowered my weapon, " Naxila! To what do I owe this honor? Don't you have a quest to do?".

She put one hand on her hip and pointed with the other at my sword, " You are not allowed to use THAT sword on another player."

"Oh come on! He had a magic sword and a steel mace! Don't tell me you deleted him!" , I complained.

"Of course I deleted him. It's basically torturing a person. Skye would have forced me to delete YOU! Your welcome! If I hadn't gotten bored you would be done for. You are already causing a PR nightmare with your stunt in the arena. Everyone wants a wooden sword now," she lectured, with a matter of fact attitude.

" Well I would say thank you, but you cost me a good weapon," I complained while crossing my arms in mock anger.

She laughed and rubbed her thumb and forefinger together in a strange motion.

"What are you doing?"

"This is the worlds smallest violin playing my heart cries for you. "

" Your a jerk, " I said while rolling my eyes, " so how long have you been watching me?"

"Long enough. I gotta go, good luck. "

She snapped her fingers and her body began to turn to purple mist, slowly disappearing. Her voice echoed as she vanished, "Be warned, it seems a Rare Elite Gnoll has just spawned nearby."

Heck ya, I knew making her feel bad was a good choice. She must be a mom in real life. She may not have let me have the cool weapon but she did use her avatar powers to spawn an elite monster which is super awesome.

I suddenly remembered the loot from the mage. I turned around and saw the mage's staff lying on the ground.

Score!

Basic ice staff- +10 to ice damage. 10-15 base damage.

I took my spoils and returned to my hunting location by the rocks. I crawled back on top and waited for the next gnoll scout to come by. The greatest thing about this location was that all of the gnoll scouts intersected here within my range. So I didn't have to circle the camp to get them all. Once all the scouts are taken care of, I can figure out how to take down the rest.

I had to wait about two minutes before one of my targets came into range.

Thump!

The thrown rock smacked the scout in his forehead and I once again ducked behind the rocks while the scout tried to get the other gnolls attention.

Just like before the gnoll came to check it out alone, after no one would listen to him.

I activated power attack as he came around the corner. Leaping from my perch I drove the blade in his shoulder.

Hit!

You have dealt 75 damage! (125/200hp)

The force of the blow knocked the gnoll to the ground and I followed up with rapid strikes.

Hit!

You have dealt 35 damage! (95/200 hp)

Hit!

You have dealt 40 damage! (45/200 hp)

Miss!

During the last attack the gnoll jerked to the side and my attack hit air.

Damn!

The gnoll backed away quickly. He turned to run away, intending on fleeing back into the camp.
